Just ordered one for my modded r53
nice!
Saw this on e bay. I’m on the edge of getting it for my s2k. How’s it holding up so far?
It works great! and for the price is a great deal. I think the next comparable shift light is like double the price.
Do you think you could hardwire it CAN+- my miata has MS ECU but I have the leads from the ECU that output the CAN data that you are getting from the OBD port. Cheers
not sure! try giving them an email!
Hazard Garage: Do you know of a shift light module that uses the tach signal rather than the ODB port. Also I would like only 5 or 6 LEDs.
Thanks,
Enzo
I think the manufacturer of the shift light i link in the description as other options besides OBD2. Check them out.
Have you thought about those sequential tail lights / turning signals off of carbon miata? I think they're really good looking and could help make my Miata look newer but I'm not sure wether or not to buy.
Sequential turn signals and tail lights look good i think. Just for this build I had to also balance track upgrades. The sequential shift light was definitely a splurge though lol
@@HazardGarage Ah I see. Idk too many other video ideas but the NA Exhaust one attracted me. Very well done and made me sub. Maybe a turbo comparison on NA's or Supercharger comparison? It'd be free to make a video and It's cool to see opinions on turbo vs supercharger and pricing and junk
Also I just noticed I was subscriber 401... Just missed 400 😥
@@jsk2276 thats a great idea! I definitely think there are plus and minuses to both. I'll look into it. Thanks for the feedback!
@@jsk2276 lol its ok youre still 400 in my eyes. 😄👉👉
Thanks for the support!

Thanks for letting me know! Links updated!
Question, is it working with a stock ecu? Or are you on a standalone?
Stock ECU, but with the supercharger I run fuel/timing cards with the stock ECU
Does your shift light overheat at all because I know some guys who have a shift light similar to this one and their port gets really hot cause some cars don’t allow stuff to be plugged into the port while driving. Asking advice from a Honda owner
Also I’ve seen some guys who are having a bunch of ecu problems now because they plugged in a cheap shift light and it’s messing up with their system and throwing codes…
nope I havent had any issues like that with this light. there might be something else going on with those cars!
I recently purchased the sl 35 and I am having a lot of issues with it set up is simple I set redline point then where I wanted it to start filling up led bar the set brightness but after I turn my car on the led bar flashes on and off and goes from 0 to 7580 and I am in neutral not even touching the pedal any idea plz help lol

I bought the OLED OBD2 one and Iv been having problems with it not leaving setup mode, or sometimes it will flash a super high value and then stop working. My suspicion is it has to do with power from my cigarette adapter. What are the specifications on your cig adapter?
mine is supposed to be self-regulating up to 2.1A. I had issues with the light flashing randomly in my Miata but when I plugged in the unit to a 2020 car it was stable and perfect. Maybe try that?
If anything, contact the guy who makes them, he was responsive via email in trying to help troubleshoot.
@@HazardGarage unfortunately hes been very bad at communicating with me. Does it still live in your miata? Im trying to find another cig adapter that can work better
@@jamiejude it does still live in my Miata but I only plug it in when on the track since it still flashes the lights intermittently. In my newer 2020 model year daily, it doesnt do this.
I recommend testing it in another car to just confirm if its the car or the unit.
This is the cigarette adapter I use: amzn.to/3m1CIKU
You can also try powering the unit using like a portable cellphone battery pack as a test.
@@HazardGarage Thank you, I will try all this and get back to ya!

Have you fixed it so it matches the redline on your tachometer?
about 500 or so
RPM before that to account for my slow reaction time haha
👍👍👍🌵🌵🌵
This seems to be working they eventually contacted me. Now instead of rectifying the situation, they have resorted to profane languages and my "old eyes", that have enough experience to see though their illiterate ignorant arrogant attitude. Truly if you trade with this supplier, you deserve what you will get.
I am sorry to hear you had a rough experience with them ☹
Spoken like a true RICER🤣🤣🤣
how do my flashy shift lights look through my back window! sucka! 😆😆
Beware of these, mine fail during installation and Supplier is not returning my emails I was able to repair it with a new five volt regulator. Its heap Charlie appearance continues on the inside, with counterfeit components and probably counterfeit software as well. If you want to buy something with no support beware of this one
