The moka is a stove-top coffee maker that's been a staple in Italian households for over 80 years. It's a simple, yet highly effective way of brewing a rich and robust espresso. It was invented by Mr. Alfonso Bialetti, and it’s no surprise that - to this day - the uncontested queen of mokas is still the “Bialetti” brand.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Fill the bottom part of the moka pot with water, making sure to fill it to below the valve.
2) Then, place the filter basket into the bottom part and fill it with ground coffee. Unlike traditional coffee machines, we don't want to press down the coffee. Just let it rest naturally.
3) Next, place the moka pot on your stove and turn on the heat. As the water begins to boil, the pressure will force it up through the coffee and into the top part of the moka pot. This is when the magic happens! The result will be a delicious and authentic espresso that will definitely give your day a huge boost of energy.

This is one of the best videos I've seen in forever! I love everything about this!
I love the product, I love his description, history and stories. I love the great sweater and the fact that his channel name is being displayed in the background on his screen.
He maintained a great smile. The content was short and sweet. Many years ago I found my first Bialetti and didn't necessarily even know what it was but knew that I should get it, I was drawn to it.
This video has re-inspired me to dust it off and use it soon and often. Thank you.
☕☕☕ Aww! Thank you SO much for sharing this wonderful feedback. It gave a better boost than espresso 🤩
Magnifico! Thanks
Thanks just bought my first moka pot Friday. works great and was on sale for 10 dollars Canadian.
0:40 ❤thanks for making this video simple and best, unlike the difficult process demonstrated, usually, by non- Italians!!!
Glad it was helpful! 😁
0:56 what I really want to know is why my new to me espresso maker says never to use fine Italian ground espresso, but to use course ground beans instead!?
I love my time in Caffe Fiero, San Mateo, & communing with our regulars... 😊 I've been making cappuccinos at home with Moka pots, after encouragement from 🇮🇹 friends to learn Moka! I use Bialetti ( & a French Press for a frother). I love the sights & sounds of Moka as well as the final espresso & cappuccinos!! 😊☕ 👍 i like Lavazza & Danesi best. ....
Super video!
Grazie Mike ☕☕☕
That is the coffee pot I have been wanting forever I use to use it all the time to make espresso cafe`. I ALSO BEEN WANTING THE LITTLE CAFE CUPS AND KEEP THEM IN A CURIO GLASS CABINET❤
I'm Spanish but secretly or not so secretly wish I was Italian. The moka is very popular in spain too... And yes, I have more than one. Thanks for the great fun, informative content. 👍
What is the most popular brand of grocery store ground coffee used in Spain for the Moka?
@@photina78 i use different ones, but i check the Torrefacto content. Its beans roasted with sugar. I don't like the taste so choose lower Torrefacto. In any case i rarely brew my own coffe as its cheaper easier and better in one of the local cafés near my home. I have my favourites.
@@jcagra2012 I used to live in Andalusia and I loved drinking Cafe con Leche in cafes every day! I know about Torrefacto coffee and I agree a lower percentage of Torrefacto is the best flavor. I use a Bialetti Moka pot everyday to make Cafe con Leche in Duralex Unie clear tempered glass tumblers 8.5 oz.
But I can't get Spanish ground coffee in the USA so I use Italian brands: Bialetti Perfetto Moka Espresso, Lavazza Crema e Gusto, Lavazza Qualita Rosa, Lavazza Espresso Italiano, Kimbo, illy Classico Espresso for Moka, etc. All of them are ground medium-fine for the Moka, which Bialetti told me in an email is the correct grind.
If you can name some good brands of Spanish coffee that are ground for the Moka, I'd love to find them and try them! ☕ 😋
@@photina78 saimaza is good , i used to use catunambu as well.
@@jcagra2012 Thank you! I can get Catanambu ground coffee, but it's medium grind, which doesn't work in the Moka. Maybe I can find it in a medium-find grind. If not, I'll have to buy a good Baratza Encore bean grinder and buy the whole bean Torrefacto blends. Thanks so much!
Toooo adorable ❤
Grazie David 🥰
You summed it up! That’s what I’m thinking at all times with Marco on the screen, and I’m a 37 year old straight dude. Some people just shine.
It'a symbol of happiness for me, e non sono italiana! Only the genuine italian coffee made in a Bialetti deserves to be called coffee in my opinion. Grazie per i ricordi che il tuo video mi ha portati, ricordi di tempi preziosi al bar🥰... O come cominciare bene la giornata !
Grazie Marina ☕☕☕
Bellisiomo amore. Grazie
0:35 I have a Bialetti at home. I make moka coffee on the weekends. I noticed that there's a Danesi brand. Any relation? Or did I get the name wrong?
Well spotted 🤩 No relationship, just the same last name ;) It's a coffee brand from Rome. I saw the moka and the ground coffee with my name on it in a store and thought "I have to buy it" 😁
Hi Marco,
Do look up Carlo and Sarah, when Sarah tries to use soap to clean the Moka pot! (Carlo is Italian, Sarah is American with Italian heritage)
HA! I can already imagine the scene 😂
He should divorce her!
@@photina78 😂🤣! It seems that she is aware of a lot of the cultural dos and don'ts, but does it to provoke him!
@@jenniferwightwick5158 Yeah, I think she does if for humorous entertainment. I still feel for the guy!
❤☕☕☕❤
Just regular coffee beans?
Italian coffee grinds 😉 Here are my favorites 👉 www.amazon.com/shop/inevitaly/list/15UB4QH552WGR?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_aipsflist_aipsfinevitaly_5NYYBGGE5SZK4AFSY0HG
The coffees he linked are very good! I also like Bialetti Perfetto Moka Espresso.
What happened to Marco in a Box ?
Ciao, I've rebranded this channel. But it's still me 😉 I explained everything in this video: czcams.com/video/vi1ZCXFbUJY/video.html
Is that why my mom said never use soap on my Biatelli? 😅
Reject moka, embrace calling it caffettiera
I used soap for mine! Am I blocked now? 😆
🤣🤣🤣
...💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖....
That cremina was not good
to the fucking point dude.
Only the Italian made Moka make a good coffee....has a many Chinese in the market, but is just enough to put some flowers.....in Brazil the original Bialetti cost US$ 50,00+-....I have four.. different sizes, I loved!!🇮🇹
