  • Davinci Resolve 18.1 was announced yesterday with lots of great new features to audio editing, cloud editing and a brand new SKY REPLACEMENT feature with the option to create new realistic skies using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
The OFX feature is available in both the Free and the Studio version of Davinci Resolve so everybody can try it out today.
But how GOOD is it - and HOW do you actually use it?
Let me show you in this first part of two episodes about the Sky Replacement feature!

Tony - that's a good tutorial showing this OFX - I think for tutorials you might want to lower your resolution a bit - unless I watch full screen on a desktop, hard to see details you are showing, Maybe do some zooms into places where you are changing data.
Not sure how to use the FX tracker on the dropdown. Still working on that. Thanks for the tutorial

      Thanks, Jim.
I usually do some zooms for details, but after I uploaded this I realised I could have done much better on this one.
I’ll blaime it on high fever and a cold this time and pay more attention to it.
Feedback like yours is much appreciated and helps me gradually improve .
      So thanks for that🙏.

    Hi Tony,
Thx for your walkthroughs. Much appreciated. Since you are asking, I am trying to get better combining mocha and resolve. If you work with mocha, it would be fun to see how your workflow is with these elements. - but for now, keep them coming 😁/Soren

      Tak for det 🙏.
😢Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with Mocha. I’m all in on DaVinci 😀.

@@Resolve_This My mocha adventure began when tracking 360. Davincis are also great especially magic which, I think, will take over roto in a not so far away future. I might get back to you in the new year for some color lessons in danish, that would be cool to try. weren't you the Danish guy attending resolvecon? 🙂Glæder mig til flere tutorials.👍/Soren

Is the sky replacement tool available in the free version.

I currently don't have a free version installed on any machine, but I am pretty sure that all features using AI and the Neural Engine is Studio version only.
