1/2 VW sounds so nice! Much better than a 2-stroke screaming at 5000 RPM.
great safety.way to go man flying is great.glad you got yours.
Love that sound of the opposed headers. Just like the big boys
Lovely little aeroplane, looks very cool.
For those young pilots looking to build time inexpensively, this beautiful plane can be registered as an Experimental , and hours flown in it can be logged. Of course, it kind of defeats the purpose of building an Ultralight, but where else can you build, and own your own 3-Axis aircraft for under $25,000 - and fly it for less than $10 per hour? Later, when it's time to move up to a bigger plane, you could sell it and recoup most, if not all of your investment - but I bet you won't ! :D
Thank you Steve. You speak nothing but truth and facts. You just got to do it!!!
Glad to see a Pup flying. I watched Bob Counts build the prototype.
Now that's what I'm looking for!
Very pretty little plane.
Looks like the real thing lot better than most
Sounds like a popping johnny at idle
SYK ass little plane bro love it!
Nice airplane.
Looks like fun!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Buenas amigo, por casualidad posees los planos reales de este modelo con el manual de construcción? Gracias...
Good friend, do you happen to have the real plans of this model with the construction manual? Thank you
Good safety practices around that prop, you can never let your guard down around spinning props, they can and do kill people every year.
A bit too much throttle, plane jumps the chocks, and Mr. Jdgurl143 becomes sliced pork. I like to be ahead of the prop, then I can fall clear. Happened, the
prop missed my nose by what seemed an eighth of an inch. Some people prop from behind, but they hang on to the doorsill, or similar. I don't care for it.
One time I had to tie the tail, so I took a rope, tied it to the tail spring, went around a car bumper, then back to the plane's window. I tied it in the cabin.
Propped it. Rope went tight. Climbed in, untied the knot, and threw the rope out. It trailed just fine the next couple hundred miles. I've seen some planes
with a release hook in back. Better yet, you then reel the rope in (or leave it on that tree).
@@ramongandia8163 Ive been told both versions - of starting by different guys and instructors - to stand behind and in front. Most of the taildragger pilots Ive known have swung the prop from the front and can get away sharpish if needs be. Although in more recent times some instructors state that the aircraft can come towards you (standing at the front) and thus push into you with you going into the prop - so their advice is to stand behind the prop. If the aircraft is chocked/braked then I cant see it doing so. Maybe as there's always an exception to the rule? The rule of standing behind the prop, is all very well, until a low wing comes forward and pushes you forward into the prop by knocking you over/or you falling on the wing and back again? Prop swinging aint for the feint hearted or absent minded.
Never have seen someone so a runup from outside the aircraft. ,😄
Awesome. Super nice
that is awesome
How much did you pay for her, and are they easy to find?
Looks like it weighs more than 254 is it actually ultralite ? Do you have a chute to make it legal above 254 ?
Nice airplane, but the door is on the wrong side! The one piece door seems to work well though (not enough room for a clamshell).
How long of flight time??
I thought my J-3 is small!
Is this the one Eddie Hewitt built?
What does this one weigh?I am having trouble getting one to weigh under 400 lbs.
Nice. Is the plane FAR 103?
As far as I am able to tell it can not be built to 103 and the plans lied.
Is it a true 103 ultralight? I’ve been looking for one of those for a couple of years, let me know if you ever want to sell it.
so whats the empty weight? is it considered an ultralight ? or is it too heavy to fit that category?
Fantastic beautiful your craft How can I get a place for me bild this? Can you help me?
so I saw in your other videos you got a tcraft. Congradulations it's a nice upgrade. A while back we'd exchanged comments on carb heat. Did you ever have any problems with carb ice on the pup?
bcberryfarm never had any problems with ice. the carb stays pretty warm since it is connected to the oil sump.
Did you get the plans with the plane? Preceptor doesn't respond to requests for plans.
A group of us have a project going to produce a free set of plans for these airframes. Come join in.
timdonk.com/single-place-bush-plane-project/
I could only get the manual.
Is it the same plane as the other video. Being 3/4 size is it a model .
Is this s good trainer?
Was this a kit? Where do you find planes like this for sale? Im interested in flying but I’m new to everything, dont know where to look.
do the wings fold?
IS SHE A PART 103 UL
runs in reverse direction?
very nice plane, for sale.......
What speed do you cruise at?
+Al goodspeed cruise is @ 60.
does this plane have float brackets on it?
is this really a ultralight?
Jason Plant yes
How much did you pay for this plane??? Please tell me 😊
jose montalvo ...... blueprints are about 150$ from preceptor.... last I checked
affraid to fly it?...show us.
Mind reveling $$$
At around 4:05 or so it sure looks like he's taking a leak.
Got a hanger for that thing ?
Put one of these
oi64.tinypic.com/b56078.jpg
in there. Problem solved (-:
Just kidding - cute little airplane!
must be metric generic. running backwards.
so.....why this?....get a full size cub.might save your life.
It's safe to fly provided you properly maintain it just like any other aircraft. Why this? Because it's an ultralight, it's cheap, it's fun to fly, and you don't need a pilot certificate to fly it. In my opinion it's an awesome little bird an he's lucky to have it.
