- I'm a sucker for video game franchises, and I think these would fit together well within the context of Magic.

#Crossover #Magic - Hry
Castlevania would be SWEEEEET, great vid
Thanks for pointing out not just bringing Lord of the Rings. The Simarillion would be amazing to bring to life in card form. But you're right, the rights are hard to get
I think Destiny has some decent crossover potential. It's basically a bunch of space wizards with guns running around fighting against dark witches, tech priests, and eldritch beings. The Guardians are reality-breaking war machines that would make for a fun pushing of Planeswalker design.
4 Commanderprecons with Masters of the Universe
I have the power!
I wanna see mtg crossed over with alien, like the ridley scott Alien. HR Giger. Etc.
A phyrexian xenomorph
Totally agree with the Thief series crossover idea. Deadly shadows is one my of favourite games, so I'd love to make a commander deck with Garrett spearheading it.
Fyi there already is a balrog creature in mtg. It's called Balor from the D&D commander legends set.
The Dark tower book series would be amazing. Although I doubt it will ever happen.
Starcraft, Warcraft series, World of Warcraft, and Diablo would be absolutely amazing. Great subject.
My choices would be:
Gundam Universal Century since there is a VAST legacy of mythos to be made into an artifact/vehicle themed set.
Ghost in the Shell since there is a lot of cyberpunk/mysticism of the soul in that franchise.
Dragon Quest has more than enough substance to be easily translated into magic cards.
Shin Megami Tensei/Persona, aka Atlus, since their demonic/angel/humanity triumvirate focus is interesting, both mechanic and lore wise.
Megaman, specifically the Megaman XDive franchise. I enjoy the app's approach to the player character fixing the stages by defeating irregular programs that, if left unchecked, will alter time and the game experiences across history. Plus with their access to other games within the franchise would leave WOTC with a lot of wiggle room for card creation.
Honorable mentions go to Neon Genesis Evangelion, Death Stranding, Animal Crossing (Secret Lair), and The World Ends With You.
Elric of Melnibone would be sick in MTG since he's the OG albino spellsword mercenary
"I'll activate Gandalf's ability to tap your Lightning McQueen before entering combat." "In response, cycling Master Chief I'll counter that activation." "Hmm, good play. I'll negate that activated ability by cycling a Master Chief of my own." "Wow is that the ultra mythic gloss foiled springles edition of the same secret lair?" "Yes, this cost me 9000€ more than that puny 40€ one you have." "Oo cool. Anyway, Lightning McQueen is tapped, but because you did it before moving into combat, I'll cast Black Widow. It has haste and deathtouch. Mooving into combat again?" "Yeah sure." "Attack with everything?" "I'll block the widow with my Bedrock Edition Steve, throw my Minions from pixar in front of your Sly Cooper and Crash Bandicoot so they all trade, lastly Ezio will block your Megatron, killing it with deathtouch."
The Wheel of Time books (not the Amazon show) or any Brandon Sanderson series, mainly the Stormlight Archive and Mistborn.
Great list 👌here's my top five :
Bioshock series
The Witcher
God of war
Berserk
Silent Hill
I know this might not work to good as a crossover but I would love to see the anima hellsing and fallout
Witcher would be a shoo in, equipment that damages nonhumans, monsters, even some of the signs and potions.
H.P. Lovecraft the whole Cthulhu mythos
This will look good
HP Lovecraft's Universe as a whole please. More Eldrazi types of cards and horrors beyond human comprehension would be amazing. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. Also Darkest Dungeon would be great as well.
I'd love to see a Dragon Age universe beyond.
My top three that I want to see are
SpongeBob
Doom
NWA
My top 3 that I don't want to see are
Army recruiting ads
Steven universe
Doctor who
I'm a fan of Steven Universe, but I wouldn't want a whole set dedicated to it. Maybe a Secret Lair deck at best? Would be cool for the meld mechanic.
I think Magic needs anime cross overs, like when Neon Dynasty Kamagawa was announced I was hoping for Naruto to be crossed over with it so i could have my whole anime team in one deck
As a Jorn EDH enthusiast.. I can get behind some snow Skyrim cards 😍
Too that would be sweet. , I know it would be silly but borderlands would be great
He man , borderlands , ninja turtles , diablo/ world of warcraft , zelda
Stormlight archive!
Honestly I'd prefer if they were legally playable. Like let me have some kingdom hearts cards
A Witcher crossover could be awesome. If they take inspiration from both the books and the games and leave out the hot garbage series.
Blue Clues.
Shadow of the colossus.
I think Skyrim is possible now that Elder Scrolls Legends is dead.
Game of thrones
I'd love to see a Lord of the Rings set, shame we're getting some pile of garbage instead.
For me it has to be monster hunter. We got the big creatures, humans, equipments, items etc, I feel like it'd fit so well with MTG, especially in a ikoria style kinda set
Harry Potter might actually be really good if its done properly and by that I mean if it has more of a darker tone like the later books.
They already made universes beyond legal in stuff so there is 0 reason not to continue doing this.
