    The great thing about the Redknapp and West Ham era is that they were just so open to 'what might happen'. Always up for taking risks. i remember as a kid I went down to the West Ham training ground, and literally just asked for a trial. I was given one 3 days later. The trial went well, and i got called back for an actual game the following Saturday, but I couldn't play the game as I had performing arts school to attend lol. Great memories.

      That was like me when I seen klopp walking his dog in Stanley Park 3 days before the champions league final in 2019 and asked him if I could play...I got a game and won us the penalty early doors...Great memories.

      This is like when I was walking outside Wembley stadium once even though I live in east London and realised the England manager was on the same tube platform as me. I asked him “let me play gaffa” and he said “sure, what shirt number you want?” And I said “6 like Bobby Moore”. I turn up on the Saturday, score a last minute winner and won us the World Cup for the second time - then I woke up from my dream.

      This is like the time when big ange subbed me on in the FA cup final at the 85th minute. I went on to score the last minute winner and bring the spurs their first trophy since 2008. Great day, but the best bit was winning the champions league the next year.

    Don't understand this story. By FA Rules, any player must be registered with the FA as well as listed in the teamsheet which is handed in before the game. You can't just invite an randomer to come and play for you. I won't even get into insurance and medicals and all of that. I am guessing that friendly games do not count.

    • @howell1488
      @howell1488 Před 10 lety +55

      yeah friendlies aren't FA registered games they're games arranged by both teams, you don't need to register anyone.

    • @ShiftzyFTW
      @ShiftzyFTW Před 10 lety +24

      It was only a pre-season friendly, so none of that applies

    • @shaunkemp5810
      @shaunkemp5810 Před rokem +1

      I said the same thing but then realised it was a friendly and you don’t have to be registered with the F.A. Team sheet would read trialist. What a moment for that guy though.
