Good Riddance is low key an incredible song with a powerful message. But Green Day is an all time favorite of mine. Some of the first songs I learned on bass were Green Day songs. Almost 17 years later still playing.
So glad I caught them live in 1994 when their first album Dookie was released. This song is on that album; you also need to check out ‘Longview’ from the same album- their very first single. There is a very long Green Day catalog, and it’s very worthy of your attention. When this song/album came out these guys were only about 20 years old, and you definitely see them grow up and their style evolve from the early 90s till today. (Their latest album was released just last year.) You’ll definitely want to check out some stuff from their American Idiot album (‘American Idiot’ and ‘Wake me up when September ends’ are 2 songs you must listen to from that album.)

The worst punk band of all time. But, I love some of their songs. This is definitely one. Edit: Their drummer's name is litterally "very cool" that's so f--reak-ing stupid. Not a bad drummer though.

Green day was the first i learned on guitar cause it was a little simple but dirnt is all over the place on the bass
