Every sunblock ever breaks me out. So itâs just hats and umbrellas for me thank you very much
@@kageyamasimp5728 every night since years now đą
Even if we are inside the house all day?
MORNING
1. Use Salicylic Face Wash every morning; you could also use it twice a day --- Lather, apply (avoiding eye and mouth area), let sit for a few minutes, then rinse --- you can also use a moisturizer in between (the same one used at night)
2. Use sunscreen every day
NIGHTTIME
3. Wash your face + gentle cleanser
4. Use a moisturizer (niacinamide & licorice); no need for a separate serum
5. Retinol or Adapalene (topical vitamin A, help with skin cell turnover & keep pores clear)
Thank you. I can never remember it all đđ
Dr. Dray must be psychic or somethingâŠI was just telling myself I need to fade my acne marks not even 5 minutes ago and then I came across this video 23 minutes after itâs been posted lol this isnât the first time either!
That's what I saidđ”đI was thinking about it then boom đ„ đ€Ż here's the video
I was just at the derm and they told me I had PIH so this is nice
Dr Dray to the rescue đ
She's the skincare psychic
I know. Same here!
Thank you Dr. Dray, I'm a late 40s, very fair skinned Black man, and your skin care advice has been excellent. Retin-A Micro at night, Vanicream moisturizer, Cerave sunscreen, my acne scars have smooth, dark spots have disappeared, skin is bright & healthy looking. I spent years on expensive lasers & chemical peels but following Dr. Dray's advice for the last year, my skin looks the best it's ever looked with affordable products. Dr. Dray you are a Godsend.
sorry if this is rude but fair-skinned black man? Like light skin?
@@user-us1yu8gx9s Not rude asking for a description, no worries, but yes, light skin.
Really happy for you!
That's wonderful. How long did it take you to achieve your skin goals and when did you start noticing a difference
The cerave resurfacing retinol serum has changed my skin, I love it.
I just bought this
I'm so sad i can't purchase in Spain :(
@@luciagarcia6199 Can u get tretnoin
@@thecookingnerd1433 My first tretinoin from Spain was called Reterides, if thats any helpđ
@@luciagarcia6199
Honey, you can get straight up Tretinoin otc in Spain!
Someone already mentioned the brand name, I can never remember, how to spell it, lol. Reti-something.
People only use products like the one recommended in the video, because tretinoin is prescription only in most countries. It's by far the most (cost) effective option, if you can straight up buy it!
Still you are the most ICONIC on CZcams!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching
@@DrDrayzday You did mention that retinol in the eye area can be too drying...I use the Remarkable Retinal eye cream by Mychelle which have retinaldehyde to treat the fine lines (Iâm 26 but Iâve a lot of it around the eyes) do you think itâs too harsh? It burns a bit when applied but after few seconds I donât feel anything
I second thatđđ
@ThatOne Youâve seen any improvement of the fine lines? I didnât yet
This should be a series đ you could do different common skin conditions! Thanks as always!
Congrats on a Walmart sponsorship. Of all the you tubers I watch, I havenât seen any that have been sponsored by Walmart. And we know you are genuine when you talk about Walmart, because you have done many videos, prior, shopping at Walmart.
Yes to clearer skin and fading dark marks!! You're a gem, Dr Dray! Thanks and happy Thursday! Hope you have a peaceful evening! đ
I love this idea of making a routine! It takes out all the guesswork of what to do first then second then thirdâŠ.
Having a rough day and so glad to take a small break and watch your new video. Always makes me feel better.
I love incorporating AHAs and BHAs into my skin care routine! So much better than physically scrubbing my face and damaging the skin's natural barrier. Awesome video! :)
I love the watch when you're applying the second sunscreen!
You're the best Dr. Dray! Thank you for your daily content. â€
You are our consistent, clear-headed queen when it comes to skin care. Thank you!
You should make this a series of making skin care routines for different skin problems, loved it!!
In her og yeara she has done mumtiple! Look then up just write âoily skin care routine dr drayâ and they show up :)
Perfect timing!! I respect you so much Dr.Dray!
Thanks for this! I have been guiding my 19 year old son to have a better skin care routine and this fits the bill!!! He is good about washing and self care but his acne still flares badly. So this routine will help him see the benefits of products I have bought for him. Especially sunscreen!!
this is the video i didnât know i needed. thanks Dr. Dray! đ
Perfectly timed! Your content is amazing and links to products makes it so simple to shop. Thank you Dr. Dray for helping us combat teen acne due to hormones and sports equipment (football and wrestling headgear.)
Definitely going to buy some of these products. Thanks, Dr. Dray!!!
Thanks so much for this video. I discovered your channel only a couple of weeks ago and I am already seeing improvements in my skin!
This video couldn't have come at a better time! Thanks Andrea!
You're so welcome!
Adapalene is a game changer đ
Glad to hear it helped đđŒđđŒ
Happy doctors' day, Dr Dray ! â€ïž
The tret purge around weeks 6-8 left me with some PIH that is sticking around even with daily sunscreen. I have everything for this routine already, except for a niacinamide moisturizer which I just picked up. Iâm excited to give it a shot!
As usual, when I run into a skin problem, you sense it, and make a video on how to deal with it right on time for me.
I have struggled with adult acne for over a decade, and it was only when I started using the drugstore products you recommended my skin has cleared up substantially. Never in my life did I see myself being able to wear a tinted moisturizer as my "foundation". I had largely used full coverage in the past. Thank you for your informative videos -- backed by science -- and for making clearer skin more accessible (instead of spending $200 on a moisturizer and $50 on a face wash).
As always, you are a mountain of information and I love that. Not only do you tell us what the best products are but why. I appreciate that.

This video has such a specific title but itâs actually such a great starter on all things skin care. You cover so much without fluff.
Also Iâm more and more convinced that cerave is the holy grail of affordable skincare.
Oh thank you!
this is scary i was just looking for products to fade my post acne marks! itâs like dr dray can read my mind! sheâs done this like 3 times nowđ
Thanks for watching
I needed this so badly.! Thank you! â€
Can you make a video with skincare recommendations for nurses and other professionals working shifts? I find it difficult to figure out if I should stick to my rutines no matter what shift I have, or if I should change it when I go into a night shift. Thank you for making such good content!
Not related to the video, but these days you look so radiant and healthy and it makes my heart so full Dr. Dray đ
Just what I needed!!!! Thank you for the vid!
Love the look! Those earrings are adorbs! Thanks for the explanation how salicylic acid cleanser is good for both acne-prone skin and wiser skin to clear pigmentation and acne. Post-menopausal acne is no joke. It's harder to clear up than when I was a teenager!
Thanks for watching
TRUTH. Starting with perimenopause, the Change has really done a number on my skin.
This is what i need!
Thank you so much Drâ€
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks doc! :D
Cetaphil sheer mineral I am LOVING. My skin is soooo picky too. I top it with the cetaphil redness relieving tinted moisturizer for the iron oxides & that is my âmakeupâ for the day as well.. & I feel more protected w 2 layers :)
My skin can clog from many products that other ppl love & havenât had an issue so far.
Wow. This is literally one of my only problems I can't thank you enough.
I LOVE YOU! As someone struggling with cystic acne - Your guidance and product recommendations make the most sense to me out of all the skincare videos I watched. I am fortunate to have found you :)
Iâve just recently got into facial sunscreen! Itâs really a must have ! đŻ
So helpful! Just picked up procure and cerave retinol. Thanks so much dr dray
I love your videos and shared them with my adult daughter! Great info and you are so relatable!

I needed this!! Right on time doc!
I think the Mighty Patch are the best! Way better than any other ones Iâve tried.
Thanks Dr. Dray. Iâve dealt with acne all my life and since August of last year I simplified my skincare routine and started using adapalene and my acne is so much more under control. I still get clogged pores but my skin is the best itâs ever been. I watch every single one of your videos. Iâm thankful that you do these videos to help those of us that struggle with these skincare concerns. P.S. I absolutely love your vlogs too đ„°
Thank you so much Dr Dray!!! Hope you're having a happy Thursday! I suffer from acne and PIE. Just purchased the It's Skin LI serum last night
Iâve been enjoying both of those sunscreens. I use the Cetaphil mineral face liquid first, and then use the Cerave tinted one on top to hide the white cast. Itâs nice for summer, but Iâll probably have to find a different combo for winter due to the tint being orangey.
Great video, super informative (as always)
Thank you Dr Dray, have a nice dayâ€ïž
I love these kinds of videos! Thank you. xoxo
I developed a horrible picking addiction over the past year and truly destroyed my skin. Now Iâm on the long road to healing & fading all of the scars left behind. The pimple patches have been a huge help in stopping myself from picking and I agree that hero cosmetics is the best out of the several brands Iâve tried. I know you made a similar video to this before a year or so ago but thank you so much for making one again and including your current top product recommendations
I too was picking wayyy too much. My skin is mostly cleared up of new acne. How has your scar recovery gone and have you leaned anything along the way?
I'm so glad I came across this channel
Dr Dray-I know you are reviewing Walmart products but the new, updated Drmtlgy tinted universal tint is AMAZING. Love this helpful video
My CZcams history: hyperpigmentation skin care routine ...
I was delighted when I saw you made a video of the topic ! Thanks for the information DR Dray!
I've been using Differin Gel for years and it does wonders for my acne!
Like that Cerave tinted SPF you recommended. Colorscience AND LaRoche posay still my faves!
Happy Thursday Everybody!! Enjoy Your Day!!
It brings me happiness the products you recommend are available on drugstore. I'm from Indonesia (originally) and getting CeraVe could be hard and expensive there, now that I've moved to Canada I can find everything you recommends!
I just bought the CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum. Looking forward to using it! Itâll be my first retinol.
Love these recommendations
Pimple patches are amazing. I hate those green spots but no not to squeeze so fab for hiding :)
Thank you for the video Dr Dray! My scars and such always take a while to leave... I have a sandal mark on both feet from friction between straps and my skin after just one wear. I will be patient with my acne marks too!
Been using sunscreen for about 6 months (thanks to Dr. Dray) - man what a difference. Wish I started earlier, but better late than never!
Can you elaborate please. Each and every sunblock Iâve ever used breaks me out so I just use hats and umbrellas
@@mariamtee I have tried many sunscreens from cheap to expensive and found the Cerave ultra light moisturizer with spf works great doesnât feel like sunscreen and is hydrating without being oily itâs also non comedogenic.

Girlllll I love all your videos so much thank you for always being the one there to answer the questions of life đđœđđ

Thanks to you my niece and nephew are happy no acne, your knowledge can make a big difference and change life.
I was just saying to myself I need to get rid of my dark spots. Iâm a huge picker, I know itâs terrible but sometimes I canât stop. I have oily super acne prone skin and Iâm in my 30âs. Thank you for this video!
Ugh yes Iâm such a picker too!! Makes the marks so much worse but itâs so hard to stop :(

My fingers are my enemy
@@leanntan3229 seriously!! One little bump and itâs over
Hey, this may not help you but it helped me to reduce my oily skin. I switched to a hydrating cleanser (cerave hydrating cream to foam or la roche posay hydrating cleanser) and I started using a thicker cream like cerave cream, rather than the lotion. And tbh, my skin got a lot less oily. Probably because my face wasnât in overdrive to hydrate the skin more. It helped some people like me, but I thought I might tell you in case you want to dry it.

Happy Thursday Dr Dray!
Morning!
Thank you Dr Dray!
You have such a beautiful smile. You should smile big even if it comes at the cost of lines around your eyes. Worthwhile trade-off in my opinion. A beautiful expressive smile trumps everything!
What has helped me most is to stop picking on my skin. â€ïž
I love all your videos particular the ones for acne, my child suffer from acne.
I was always wondering what the difference between the 2 cerave retinols! The resurfacing version isnât available in Canada so I also was wondering if the resurfacing one is stronger? Thanks for all the great skincare advice Dr Dray đđŒ
Happy day before Friday
Hi Dr. Dray! Do you recommend IPL and/or microdermabrasion to help fade post acne red marks? If so, are there any at-home devices that achieve good results?
glad to see u getting more of that walmart bag! đ° thank you for addressing acne and associated issues. You read my mind because I've actually been breaking out more than usual lately and I'm not sure why. I've had acne since I was like 11 or 12 and it's been a long endless battle. I'm literally almost 30 and I still have a tall ass order of acne everywhere on my body đ I just have to laugh. I'm also looking into how my diet might be a culprit, like dairy etc. which I know you've also talked about.. anyway I'm already doing a lot of what you mentioned here, but you reminded me there's still more skincare weapons at my disposal to try. â€ïž
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Dr. Dray, I recently subscribed to your channel and am loving it. Could you please add a line or 2 in your product reviews if it will work for asian brown skin. Hyperpigmentation is a huge problem for us. Thanks!

Azelaic acid is a must have for me, to clear out pores, reduce redness and prevent acne. Remember to use it all over your face regularly as a preventive...not just when and wherever acne/redness appears. You should see immediate results if you do it this way. Ooo girl, I live for these vids!!!!! Great vid like always. :D!!!! Sometimes I forget to comment. Iâll be listening as I am getting greasy ir when Iâm driving for work and I forget to comment but I donât forget to like your videos! Always yes like the content !!!!
I am so impressed w the Cetaphil sunscreen too. They killed it with their first line of ârealâ (non-moisturizer water resistant) spfs. So much better than Cerave non-tinted ones imo. I think the Cetaphil liquid one is actually almost an exact match for the Colorscience total face shield original formula, sans the tint obviously. If Cetaphil could tint that thing, weâd have a drugstore dupe!
