    Oh, that's nice. Now I'll likely have to add it to my shopping list. As you went over the design, I happened to have my Omas Extra Lucens in hand and saw more than a few similarities in design -- must be an Italian thing :-)

    I just got a Momento Zero in Verde. It's the first fine I've gotten in quite a while and I love it.

    Great video. Love the pen. Just a suggestion, for pens with interesting resins, I think the best way to show them off is in direct sunlight.

    Thank you for the review David, the Momento Zero Grande is one of the ebst selling fountain pens in our store!

      It's at just the right price point, I do find their gold nibs are really expensive though. Especially as Santini can provide 18k nibs for 90 pounds.

    I bought this pen in the Positano Blue a day before this review came out, what a coincidence!

    Thank you for review, I wish you can compare same size steel and gold nibs on this Grande model.

    Thank you, David. Very nice. I like the vintage "vibe".

    Great review, thanks for doing it. From the look of it the nib seems to write quite wide for an EF (much like a lamy EF steel nib I have), have you compared it to other Steel EFs yet?

    writing sample is amazing. i love EF nibs. would you ever make a video with UEF nibs? like, platinum 3776, sir?

    I like the pen, but when it’s advertised as a “piston fill” I expect a true piston like a Lamy 2000, TWSBI 580, Montblanc etc. seems a tad misleading on Leonardo’s part.

    I have the Grande in Sand with a fine steel nib, and it also is a very nice writer. This is my fourth Leonardo and I believe they are one of the finest quality pens available. Although I don't have any with a gold nib, I see no need for the added expense since the steel versions are excellent.

      I was looking at the same pen also in Sand and it looks like that one (Sand) is faceted. I'm assuming it is round and smooth just like the other colors, correct?

    • @chrislj2890
      @chrislj2890 Před 4 lety +1

      @@mikefreedom8881
      Yes, it is completely round without facets. When you look at the ends you can see that the material is long strips of square resin that give it that neat look. I think the Sand has the classiest appearance of all of the Grande versions.

    • @mikefreedom8881
      @mikefreedom8881 Před 4 lety +1

      @@chrislj2890 oh good, that what I thought. And I agree with looking classy. Debating between that one or the Copper. I love the Coffee as well but I have a Pelikan M800 Renaissance Brown that has a very similar finish color wise.

    David, you should add some new features to your shows - maybe a new segment? Factory tours? Super expensive diamond 💎 studded pens?

    Thank you for such a good detailed review. Isn't the EF nib in steel bit scratchy?

    Beautiful pen. But that is no typical EF result (at least an F in line width). But good to know for those who think they might want something more traditionally EF.

    Are there any Grande versions fitted with plastic feed units? I'm having a discussion regarding it.

    That is a beautiful pen David, no question about that. The nib might force me to consider a non-medium nib. If you want to hide a secret from a man, put it in the instructions.
