Using an S7 edge (YES! in 2021), flashed a stable custom ROM and it's been working like a charm. But still saving up for a phone with the 888 chipset - until then 🌜

why am i even watching this while i cant afford it lol
the thermals in this phone are all messed up and it shows on the battery drain. TechNick has been making tons of phone comparisons and there's just something wrong with this guy here. for the price, though, i'd take it in a heartbeat. hopefully the Mi 11 Ultra solves this issue and delivers a true flagship experience with its zoom lens and improved heat managing.

The Mi 11 is finally launching where I live on Monday. Have already pre-ordered it, so now I'm just watching every Mi 11 video I can find to feel better about the purchase. Can't wait! Almost no one say anything negative about it!

@@willychanz they fixed that with the latest update. Now the chip throttles down a bit instead of overheating. The same as the galaxy s21 ultra
Are u sure that latest update fix that problem? I saw that Mi11 can be heat up to 51°.. I want to preorder Mi11.. but heat is really bad..

Overheating is probably due to the fact the Xiaomi has not limited the SD888 yet to boost bench scores and probably be patched-up next update.
I don't have this phone, but recently I've read a r/Xiaomi thread from a guy who was replacing his screen (on whatever device it was) and put 3rd-party thermal paste on the SoC. Supposedly temperatures improved. This would mean that unfortunately Xiaomi are using cheap factory thermal paste, disappointing. Not sure how relevant it would be in this case, but maybe the vapor chamber is touching to the SoC through termal paste... and if they cheaped out again for some reason... I have no idea WHY Xiaomi would do this, but there you go.
@@user-jh6kx1fw9h Depends on the build. Not all builds are the same. Don't generalize hardware based on what was found in different models.
I don't get it, if this phone feels hot it means the vapour chamber is doing its job: Heat is expelled out and not trapped inside
@@pixels_per_inch I think a proper vapour chamber design is that it should be evenly distributed to whole screen not on the upper area

I'm a oneplus user but I'm tempted with the specs of the xiaomi mi 11.
If you are addicted to OXYGEN OS u should get the 8 pro and if you like camera's too. But I still think mi 11 is great

Super HOT phone. SD 888 sure a beast SOC, and now at the moment no phone maker can make a great cooling system to handle those heat. But mi 11 at least didn't shut when heat come out not like vivo
