After strictly using the larger iPad Pros since 2015 and started suffering from shoulder pain lugging them around, I finally gave in and grabbed a cellular Mini 6 several months ago and I absolutely fell in love with it day 1. Browsing the web, playing games, reading books and watching media on the go on this feather light device is extremely liberating compared to the monoliths that I usually bust out and clumsily use when on the road. The sheer versatility and flexibility it provides due to its size is a game changer. The only time I use my Pro these days is whenever my Mini’s battery is low from using it too much. I’ll probably never buy another larger iPad again. (Plus it’s absolutely hilarious using an 8.3inch tablet as a GPS navigator on Google Maps LMAO)

I hope they make an iPad mini pro (pro mini?). The form factor is perfect, but I want the better screen and camera, maybe an M chip too.

I still have my iPad mini from 2020 as a glorified iBooks/CZcams/Safari/oversized iPod touch and for the few things I use it for, it works great.
I am using every ounce of patience I have to wait until the September 12th Apple event to see if they reveal an iPad Mini 7. If they don’t I’ll buy the mini that day

I would buy one for my nephew. I used my ipad mini with my nephew to read library books together and he loves it. So highly recommend if you have little kids under the age of 4.
Using it as a laptop replacement. Fits in a messenger bag with a tiny bluetooth keyboard of the same size. Perfect for lugging around. It works fine for repetitious daily office tasks and basic accounting.
Of course at home I use the Macbook Air, which has replaced my desktop 🤣

My dream product from Apple is still an iPad Pro Mini. Give it an M-series SOC and a promotion mini-LED display and I'd be in heaven. I'm sure they'd sell in vast quantities.

What was that folding yellow full size keyboard?
Hi Mark! I’ve had my eye on the Moft case. I actually have the snap stand from Moft that I adhered to the back of the orange Apple portfolio case so I can stand it up in portrait mode for reading. It works really well. My question about the Moft case you showed in the video is can you fold the cover all the way back so the back and the front of the case are touching like you can with the Apple case? I often do that when I’m reading versus taking the cover off completely. Thanks for your videos…you always do an awesome job!

I'm thinking of getting a 256GB iPad Mini to use primarily as an e-reader for my Apple Books purchases, but I'd probably also use it for some other light activities, which might help justify the cost of a device I want to read books on. I want a larger display than my iPhone 14 Pro's and a smaller one than my too-heavy-for-e-reading 12.9-inch iPad Pro's, so the Mini's might be the sweet spot. However, I want improvements before I spend hundreds of my lovely quids on one, so I'm waiting to see whether or not Apple brings out a new model in October with one of the M chips, with Pro Motion and no 'jelly scrolling' in portrait orientation, and with speakers inside all four of the speaker grills instead of just two. I might settle for just no 'jelly scrolling', but an M chip and four speakers would be nice, please, Tim.
I have a 16-inch M1 Max MacBook Pro that is too much for light activity, so I bought a 13.3-inch M1 MacBook Air. I fell in love with it within hours and use it far more than I use the MacBook Pro. I have a feeling that, similarly, if I get an iPad Mini, I'll find myself using it a lot more than I use my iPad Pro.

I got mine in starlight, with 64gb, granted the space isn’t much, but I don’t have a lot of pics, n compared to my last iPad, I love the size of the mini 6
I’m loving my celular iPad mini so much. It’s versatile, powerful, fun.. I bought it just last week hoping it won’t be updated any time soon cuz I spent a lot of money on it. Other than that, I’m enjoying it so much. Don’t forget to get your Apple Pencil.
I just wish it had better external display support. Otherwise because of its portability, you can’t beat it

I do love the Moft case, but it does feel like it doubles the weight of the iPad Mini. It’s wonderfully light without the case, but feels so chunky with it.

I bought the Mini and could not get used to the small screen. I had a PRO and sold it for the Mini. Before you buy one of these make sure you're ok with a small screen. I sold my Mini for an Air 4. Live and learn. In the end this cost me about $200. I should have kept my PRO. Live and learn.:(
Love your vids but I sigh every time Paperlike is mentioned on any video. Im an professional artist and been working on iPads exclusively since 2015 and they are by far THE worst screen protectors ive ever had the misfortune to use. I even tried the supposed later improved version to give it a try (advertising must work) and looked like utter crap within an hour. Terrible. iPad Mini’s are fantastic though 😊

I believe the following bundles are the best set ups for K12 students:
iPad 9th Gen 64GB
Either Logitech rugged folio or combo touch depending on their age
Skriva stylus
iPads in K12 should be managed by an MDM to take a personal device and make it fit for use in schools.
64GB is plenty if the school has a digital collaboration suite such as Office 365 or G Suite. Schools using Office 365 can offer all students 1TB of OneDrive space.

most schools use google suites like google drive / or even icloud ?
I don't know for definite, but there's a good chance, I guess!

64GB for THAT price is a piss take.
This iPad has been tempting me since it was released, but I have resisted so far. I ended up getting an M1 iPad Pro 11in instead and I am glad I did because a few months later Apple announced Stage Manager and external display support at WWDC, which means that I can use it as my main device and it is incredibly versatile. The iPad Mini 6 is great, but if Apple insert an M series chip for the next generation it will be perfect! Having said that, I do agree that it would make the perfect iPad for a school child. My children are still too young for having their own devices, but considering the amount of abuse the iPad is likely to get, I would probably opt for the cheapest in Apple’s range, i.e. the 9th Gen iPad.

It’s too expensive. And the cellular version is only a couple of hundred quid behind an M1 MacBook Air. For the premium price it should have more premium features. Which it doesn’t.

This device is perfect for the kids to play game, read stuff and draw something when parents don’t want to buy a phone for their kids and this device is fking small to use a keyboard I get fraustrated everytime when a CZcamsr says it is good to write on a keyboard with this device it is not believe me
If you have extra money buy one you won’t regret but don’t oblige
