I had a mini two and ever since that one kicked the bucket I got the mini 6 and I’m loving it and I’ll probably wait until this one kicks the bucket.
I would have put a new battery in the mini 2 and jailbroken it tbh
I had the Mini 6 for over a year and it’s undoubtedly the best iPad. I’m on an 11” Pro M2 now only because I needed more space for written notes and typing. Otherwise I’d prefer the Mini any day.

I've been an iPad mini defender basically since 6th gen started, I couldn't image using a bigger ipad infact like you said i feel like i'd use it less. I am surprised that you didn't mention the battery life as a drawback, to me that is one of the biggest drawbacks from the small form factor.
It's never been an issue for me personally, but I almost treat it like my phone where it's charged every night.
@@DNKI Same... When I get home, I drop my phone in a shelf and only use the mini for everything. Battery is good, Jelly scrolling is even fun sometimes, fast, can handle anything you throw at it, fits on my hand...
Actually, I really have trouble leaving it down.
I now carry it to my 9-5 as it helps me showing things to customers on a bigger screen than a phone
Can someone share a practical battery endurance? I am planning to buy this. What SOT can I expect with browsing and CZcams. No gaming

In recent times I got into iPads (pro 11 inch) and I work from it since i can use an external monitor now and I (mostly) work from a browser... my only regret has been not getting the larger one. I couldn't get behind the mini... but I am glad it exists, it really fills a sweet spot for a lot of people.
I purchased the Mini 5 in 2019, ever since then I’ve been hooked on the Mini iPads. Now I carry my year old Mini 6 with me almost everywhere, it’s almost as easy to carry as a large phone but much more useful with iPad OS and the larger screen
I basically got my iPad mini 6 because I missed my Galaxy Note 10+. I take my iPad to church and will have the Bible open on one side while I have notes open on the other side. I also have a paperlike screen protector on it because it makes things look and feel more natural to me. I also love browsing the web and reading on it. When I’m home or stationary for a while, I always reach for my iPad. It’s a solid little device.

The iPad mini 6 is a perfect example of being a bigger phone for social and media experience and still be portable enough as an on-the-go productivity and casual use device without the bulk. Still I can't use that thing to replace my laptop as it's much better at productivity than any iPad can be.
Great points Ken, especially about the Apple Pencil which works with this device.
I had a iPad Mni 5 and looked at the 6 but decided that the iPad Pro 11 M1 was a better use case. While I do the majority of my day to day on my M2 MacBook Air the Pro is still great and honestly overkill for me. What I do love about the mini is its use case as a display for Drones. It's the perfect size for the job.
Glad it still holds up, thinking of getting one for my productivity. People create dope illustrations with these.

But I digress, awesome vid Ken! Your stuff is always so clean and polished, great soundtrack, appealing visuals… keep it up! Also, I use an iPad Air as basically my main computer (there’s very little I will actually do on my computer now) and I love it. It can make tasks a bit more inconvenient, but there’s a charm and fun aspect of it that keeps me coming back. Plus the portability, the pencil… it really is my favorite tech product right now (and a great companion to my iPhone 13 Mini)
Man as I was watching this I was wondering how it compared to dailying a Galaxy Fold as well and you covered it! Love this channel.
The mini is my fav tablet for so many reasons. Its kind of a perfect stop gap between a large tablet/laptop and my phone. Often times I'm doing something on my phone and use my mini to multi task and since it's small, it's easier to lug around with me. On top of that the form factor is perfect for handheld gaming and it also doesn't take up a lot of desk space when I'm using it for work, etc. It's a nifty little device and ipad OS works really well on it. I had an ipad pro and ended up selling it because i just didn't use it and it was too large. Having the mini really changed how i use my devices now. especially the 5G model. Also it's my only apple device so it's nice to have access to apple software when i need it

excellent video! i've been thinking about getting one to replace my iPad Pro that i find too big to carry around. I never use the extra features anyway.

I find the iPad mini 6 is damn near perfect for comfort of content consumption. I wish the screen were a bit brighter though. When I travel it's definitely a solid little device and it looks great and it's nice that I don't have to use the first gen Apple Pencil. It truly is one of the closer to perfect devices that Apple has ever made. When I got my Fold3 I definitely found myself using that more but ultimately the camera on that phone is what led to me getting a different phone which made me go back to carrying a phone and the iPad mini.

I have had the first iPad mini since it released back in late 2012, and it still works kinda some things are alittle slow. I figured I needed a new one and the iPad mini 6 seemed like a no brainer to me? I got my iPad Mini 6 since it released in september 2021, and so far its awesome and it's the perfect size as well.

I enjoy my ipad mini 6. I hope the next one gets rid of the jelly scrolling and gets 120hz in addition to more ram. I doubt that will happen but I can dream
I have an iPad mini 6 which my wife’s using and I’m using a 4 year old iPad mini 5. I just love them both. iPad mini 6 is THE best tablet. Nothing else comes closer and it can only be replaced by its successor when it comes out.

I had it and it was ok. The mini definitely has potential to win my heart once it gets 120hz and a better display. I sold it to a friend 3 months ago. But for now I still prefer my M2 iPad Pro 12.9in. And trust me I use my iPad more than my M2 MacBook Pro and iPhone. The iPad is my “fun” device, a device I enjoy consuming content on. As a college student with no cable or TV I rely heavily on my streaming services and the iPad in my case is perfect for that.

Yeah the “bought an iPad to leave it in a drawer” thing definitely applies to me. I use my phone for everything, and a laptop for everything else. There’s nothing an iPad can really do for me that justifies its existence. The Mini seems like a good solution to this….. but a “Max” sized phone basically accomplishes the same thing for me, personally.
Edit: What app are you using for Manga?
If only Apple let us do more to take advantage of the extra screen real-estate on the iPhone 14 Pro Max...

Ngl I love my 2018 pro 11. I might get the next 12.9 cause I love to draw and media will look great on the better screen. Ngl even with a good keyboard case. Still use it as just a tablet without the keyboard.

But does it support any kind of external storage accessing support? Can i watch locally stored offline movies in it?
What if the Mini gets a bump in display size? Do you think it would make a difference for Resolve or should I just jump on the Air?

It got every thing I need, except better screen refresh (90hz is good) better on screen keyboard which allow swipe to type and greater battery life (it good but it could be better imo)

I wish Apple made a phone phone similar to the Surface Duo. I do have the mini 6 and iPhone mini. I love the combo but I still wish a device replaced both 😅 as an artist/designer I’d appreciate that. I was waiting for the pixel fold to do that but they missed out with pen support. So I might go to a surface duo 🤔

Does anyone else know what app is the one with the girl wearing glasses? I think it’s a subscription clock/calendar widget and I have been trying to find it after seeing it in a random TikTok.
It was the best for me as it has a proper chip, normal tablet size, good screen (don’t need 120HZ), center staging and such so I don’t need a 300+ costing Webcam and most importantly it syncs with my Mac)

Ik I pad mini is very compact, but still I would like to see a samsung tab s8 ultra denki review.
This is why I love my Fold 4. The inner display is effectively the same size as an iPad Mini. I have one device on me at all times and it serves every need. I debated between a phone + Mini but it just didn't make sense and I can't fit a Mini in my pocket.
2 in 1 devices are usually ending not doing best as the devices they're trying to replace. And fold phones are one of the perfect examples of that😢

Apple needs to realize that a more consistent upgrade of the mini line will sell more than the base ipad model
I think the only issue with the base 10 is the price. It will still be a solid choice if the price stay the same
I feel like if Apple were to make a foldable iPhone in the style of the Z Fold, they'd probably drop the iPad mini, since their new flagship phone would be capable of doing the job of two devices.

Only if they made something like an iPad mini Pro. The iPad mini 6 is great and all but it shows its age. I always preferred smaller devices and to be fair, I would rock an iPad mini + iPhone mini combo if they actually had better specs.
Its a great table in my opinion portable - and slim with decent performance
Personally I use thd Samsung Tab Active 3, not the sexiest machine but fills the same space as Ipad Mini for me and way more durable

I do not agree that iPad Mini needs an M1 chip. The battery life would definitely suck with an M1 chip on an iPad Mini 6.

Apple still has not made a 2 in 1 convertible laptop. Foldable kinda fits into that ethos of toaster-refrigerator that the company loves to hate. If they make a foldable, it would be an iPad-ish device rather than an iPhone replacement
If Apple were to launch a foldable in the near future, I can see them killing the mini on the same day
The only thing Apple need to do is to create an iPad mini pro. A 120 hz screen will be perfect
I think tablets are best used for gaming and media consumption.
