- The 1990s saw DJ culture become self aware and grow exponentially as new media like magazines, radio shows and the Internet took DJ-based entertainment to broader levels and communication became nearly instantaneous. The backyard party DJs of the 1990s had more music and styles to utilize in their sets as they were aware of the generation of DJs before them and they were becoming aware of DJ culture throughout the world via MTV, radio, websites and various emerging media.
Parties featured "80s flashback" DJs alongside DJs who were mixing house and techno music coming from the other side of the United States and Europe. Magazines such as URB, XLR8R, STREET BEAT, VIBE, SENSURD, and others covered the Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Chicago underground scenes that took root in restaurants, halls, clubs and warehouses. They also wrote about massive parties in the fields of England called Raves.
Santa Ana California had the best back yard parties in the late 80's and early 90's!!
Santa Ana was Thee place to be for house party’s
Phillip Woolston They were cool bro, But you are not going to compare them to the OG East L.A House parties where all this originated from ... Respect .. OC had good parties as well....
EAST LA started the scene
Cheerios where's the party at?
Cruising bristol and then hit the party
I miss them early 90's backyard parties!!! Party crews and the after hours map point in the S.G.V.626....I was from BIG BOYZ CREW👊🏽
This looks like the mid-late 90's. Totally different scene & music as well
@@Cloudy_Days.Were u too from this scene era?
@@rudygomez186 Ahuevo. No disrespect to you & what you've repped, but I was just saying this is another movement a couple of years later. This video here shows Xclusive Racing, that's when Honda Civics, Mitsubishi Eclipses, Acuras, & Many other racing crews were in. Techno parties (early 90's) was a thing of the past. This video here shows a different style of music & more of a player movement. House music was being played here, but for the most part Underground Construction was played at D.P.'s or on the weekends. UC was a heavyweight house, quicker more electronic on a gabber bass faster tempo.
And yes I was part of the scene, Drunk And Faded Crew. We got along with most party crews & when I say most it's because there was always going to be haters. When I wasn't with my crowd & I was hanging out with my neighbors from Suicide Racing in East L.A.
Racing crews used to get down fighting too especially when the majority were "Rebels" mixed with Casuals & a fraction of bald headed or faded cuts who were probably tagging on the freeways while having our hazard lights blinking so the rest of the crew can keep up as we were headed into a different city ready for another party ✌🏻
Yeah Drunk And Faded East L.A. we got along with most party crews, but eventually there's always going to be haters. The Techno days of the early 90"s was outta the picture, but this video here has to be from the mid to the late 90's. Underground Construction which was much more heavyweight than House music was in. Especially in that banner in the background. It says Xclusive Racing. That's when there were Honda Civics, Mitsubishi Eclipses, Acuras..
When I wasn't hanging out with my crew, I was partying with my neighbors from Suicide Racing 👍🏻 Good Times!
You can tell people weren't used to cameras back in the days.
I’ve been searching for this song forever and the CLOSEST thing I came across was Pete Heller’s “Big Love”
Back when you can actually dance to music!
u still can, u only going to the wrong partyes
Yes I agreed to it was all about dancing all night long with good 80s music freestyles & disco
DJ LOUIS that’s house music 😎
@@eliassanchez.213 yes you're right it's house music there playing 😎😎

What is the title of the song please??
Back in the days women would turn from the camera with embarrassment now a days there all in front of the camera... Times have changed
That was my first thought!

What song is the one playing on this video?
You know dam well there was a couple of guns in there lmao
if i use this video for an edit, will it be copyrighted?
Dude, so I miss the 90s and would literally kill just to go back to them for like a year, but God that music on the video is what one uses to psychologically torture terrorists with. . .
East La Rebel's Party's.......
Those were the days, parties, cruising legg lake, drinking and hooking up with the girls!!
Shazam sucks! What is the name of the song?
