    • @americangangsterlock1550
      @americangangsterlock1550 Před 6 lety +3

      Things weren't anymore safe than they are now. It's just a giant veil has been lifted from over our conscious minds. Pedos and the underground market that the government funds etc. More population= more problems. The only difference is that the media also helped shaped up the world for sickos to be like " normal " people and roam as they please. Everyone now has a major is B'S psychology that the perverts and serial killers have feelings too and were once people. Now they're brave enough to do whatever during the day time. I'll give you that which made the streets seem a little more safe back than compared to now. The depressing matter is that shit hasn't change, we just know better. Kind of like how the food pyramid was a scheme, now people eat alot more healthy and don't follow carbs and sugar dieting.

The guys always had the clothes sharply pressed and creased with their Pendleton’s draped over their fore arms and the girls were called “Rucas” with their teased up hair sprayed hair and tight short skirts. I still remember those thighs.
    I remember riding my bike from La Medina Projects in East LA on Sunday nights to go look at the low rider car clubs cruising Whittier Blvd in East LA,
    Later we moved to Santa Ana and it was downtown 4th street. In the 7th grade a white guy named Roger but everyone called him “Fish” (his face looked like a fish) that was all pachuco started F Troop originally there were a half dozen jr. high school kids (67’-68’ Santa Ana)

    This was in my day. I was just like one of these guys probably the same age too, 18 or so. This was taken around 1979 around 7 miles from where I grew up. I remember it like it was yesterday. Crazy ass time, hanging with the homeboys by day, getting high and being a travieso at night hustling for cash then roaming into some of these barrios just to score PCP. There were a different gang in every other block back then. How I came out of that era unharmed is a miracle. But all in all no big brother then, it was easier to make friends and fight out your differences. People had respect for the older generation unlike today. It would never be nothing like it again.

    Completely agree with you on the appearance of the classic vatos. WTF happened? I'm completely with the old school aesthetic. Those guys back then were more restrained and were respectable. Even though I was but a mere little kid when this documentary came out, I ascribe to the same aesthetic principles of clean and proper attire. For example, I can't go to work at the office without a nice pressed shirt and pants. Just can't do it. Almost instilled. These kids today are overweight and sag. Sad.
