    I had bought an 07 expedition last year and when purchased the seller told me they had just changed the fan blower. A month in and the truck stop blowing A/C. The back ones worked so I used those to cool down but never really decided to take it to a dealership or try to check it myself. I watch this video, took out the resistor and it looked new so I thought it would be a bigger issue that just the resistor. I turn on the truck and the A/C started to work. Saved myself a couple hundred dollars and who ever installed the resistor put it on upside down. I’m happy now! Thanks for the video

    When I touched the wires at the start of the process, the fan came on. So, I got a stress ball and jammed it in there. Problem solved! It lasted for years, and was still doing the trick when I totaled it last month. Direct hit on the driver door by a new teen driver, spinning me around until I hit the curb on the far side of the intersection, breaking my rear axle. The side airbags, on both sides, were amazing. No injuries at all!

      When you remove the blower motor resistor also take a look at the plug end that plugs into it to see if it is melted. If the end of the wire harness is melted you may want to replace it. This is a fairly easy job. Hope this helps you out.

    Popped our glovebox out and that made some of it easier. The auto parts store is across the street from where we work, picked it up after work and with some difficulty, actually installed the replacement resistor on the ride home (wife was driving). Yeah, it's "high voltage", but so is she without A/C!!

    Hopefully you still get these messages. I replaced the resistor along with the 4 wires because the ac would turn off by itself. I would have to wiggle the wires for it to come on. after changing it everything seemed to work. then a few days later I would hear a clicking sound coming from somewhere behind the steering wheel and now after 2 months the ac goes off sometimes or don't cool. so I have to wiggle the wires under the glove again for it to come on. any ideas why? its brand new. thx

    Thanks for the great video and link, but the rear vents are the only areas where there is no air coming (heat or cold) and we hear the motor turn on in the back rear when we turn on the 'REAR' climate area to warm up the back cabin, but no air comes out of the rear seats areas. The front two seat vents still work fine. What could be the issue?

    • @HomeOwnerRepair

    Great video! I have the exact vehicle... The blower is only blowing out cold air on the driver's side. The Fan switch doesn't work on the main AC just the Rear switch is working. My research shows me that the blend door actuator may be bad and seeing very high estimates to tear out the dash to replace it. The AC won't turn off when the car is running... I am going to check the blower motor resistor and the AC relay. Anything else you can suggest?

    We replaced both. When rewiring the clip heard a pop. Is there a fuse to it? Or would the blower had gone out?

    • @HomeOwnerRepair
      @HomeOwnerRepair  Před 10 měsíci

      You may want to see if the fuse has blown going to the blower motor. If it did blow you may want to look for a frayed wire or something that is causing the circuit to blow fuses. Hope this helps you out.
