It was around 2:30 am on Sunday, December 18 1994, when a group of friends stumbled across the bloody and brutalised body of a young woman, lying in the middle of a road in Gqeberha, South Africa. She was the latest victim of Frans Du Toit and Theuns Kruger; two men who the press would come to dub The Noordhoek ‘Ripper Rapists’...

Casefile has got to be the best true crime podcast I've heard. Very respectable to every case and well researched. These folks actually try to help unsolved cases.
There's other true crime podcasts that are over-chatty and giggling with "F" bombs throughout the program...this really is not a way to present a life altering crime.
Casefile host wont even give his name....it's about the case and the case only...awesome way to present each case. I'm retired law enforcement, giggly, laughing, chatty teenage like opinions throughout horrindous crimes is meaningless.
Casefile....keep this up, you are gaining serious listeners and you'll end up help to solve cold cases. Victims and their families are fortunate to have you really share their story. Awesome work!!
I agree with everything you are saying, childish bullshit "true crime" podcasts make my blood boil. Casefile have been doing their excellent shows for years though, they aren't new :)

Why did the ambulance take 2 hours to show up?
This case has to be one of the greatest stories of self-survival and the will to live that I have ever heard without question. I will have to look up her book but I honestly do not know if I could actually read it. I listen to ALOT of true crime so it takes a lot to be shocked anymore in the human nature to be cruel and evil. This story pushed that line back so much further unfortunately.
I know. I have a fascination with court trials and true crime but this one got to me.... She is such an amazing woman who def saved other women from being hurt.
The book is pretty amazing and I couldn’t put it down. It really makes even more impact of how much she went through and how much she triumphed over it all.
What an incredible woman Alice is, pure heart and will to live.

This is why I always carry a weapon. Allison has to be literally the strongest woman I've ever heard of. Her will to live is absolutely incredible 😲.

I wonder how the occupants of that first vehicle feel, who stopped to gawp at Alison laying on the road, raising her hand up for help, but decided to drive around her and leave her for dead on the road. I bet they're haunted and so they should be. As others have said, this case is shocking, but Alison is nothing short of incredible and a hero in my eyes.
There is a documentary about this on Amazon prime. It’s called Alison and she is the most amazingly strong person in the world.

This is my deepest nightmare, those poor girls. Nothing is guaranteed when you are faced with evil, but my dad has always told me to never, EVER let an attacker like this confine you in a car and drive away with you at their mercy, it’s almost a certain death sentence. Much better to scream your head off and fight like mad to escape right then and there - yes you risk getting stabbed or shot by calling their bluff, but it gives you far better odds than if you let them drive you off into the dark unknown
