What Actually Happens When You Get a Sunburn

- Äas pĆidĂĄn 5. 08. 2021
- It's summertime, and after a year of being locked up in quarantine it's time to step outside (safely) and get some ultraviolet rays of sunshine. But before you go soaking up that sun you'd better get that sunscreen on, because otherwise your skin will literally burn, and the damage that can be caused by a sunburn can actually be serious. Find out what sunburns really are doing to your skin right now!

That sentence is confusing bruh
With growing up in the Florida keys, I had relatives constantly in the sun getting sunburned as it was a normal occurances but also skin cancer that reduces your life by years and this occured to several relatives much like many of your families. Later in life, I can't take the heat yet still live in Florida. I want to move to a colder climate but own way to much and our economy is just not great at the moment to sell off.
You don't own anything, you just think you own, this world was here long before you, and it'll be here long after you radioactively decay. Sunburn happens everywhere on the planet. You can go back to the caucus mountains and still die from radiation poisoning. You can't hide from the sun. Lack of sunlight is a death sentence. What you need is carbon 14. It's all around you, yet you lack it. It's like being on a boat in the middle of the ocean and dying of thirst. Water is all around you yet you can't take advantage of it. Your whole world is made up of Carbon. Everything from your phone to your clothes, but you can't take advantage of it.
Great explanation

Lol funny and true
Sunburn caused me a 2nd degree. I stayed at hospital for 5 days. My shoulders was full of blisters. My legs was hurting so bad that I couldnât walk.
I went to pool with my friends for 8 hours without an umbrella and with a wrong sun cream.
The doctors started peeling off my skin(removing the blisters) and it was very hurtful. They recommended me some creams to use after the sunburn in body (dermasin, cicatridine).
I recommend everybody: dont go to pool or beach without a best sun cream, especially when you have a soft skin.
why did the doctors remove the blisters? I thought it was the body's way of protecting your skin and letting it heal

What a great day to be black.
Also a factor is the amount of melanin created by your melanocytes cells. People that have more melanin have darker skin color. A person with black or brown colored skin more resilient against suburn than a person with white colored skin being that there is more melanin in the person with black or brown colored skin.
Melanin also effects light which enters into a person's eyes. People that have brown or hazel colored eyes have more melanin so the luminosity of the light is less than a person with blue or green eyes who lack melanin in their eyes. So let's say at night the bright headlights of a vehicle would cause less issues with a person with brown colored eyes than with a person with blue colored eyes. But with a lower amount of light a person with blue eyes would be able to see more clearly than a person with brown colored eyes in which their vision would be darker.
The reason why people have a variety of colors of skin and eye colors is the result of migration and evolution.
Cool, I guess..
Actually, it's not the fact that darker skinned people have more melanin then their lighter counter-parts, but it's a whole different melanin all together. What darker people produce is Eumelanin, which is carbon based. Lighter people have what is called pheomelanin and this is sulfuric based.
I'm double cursed because I have light skin and blue eyes. I especially hate having blue eyes because they are so sensitive to light. There are no advantages to having blue eyes. Being born with them is just a huge misfortune.
This is good information after summer just ended and we are back to school/work and not on a beach anymore.
It's been awhile since I got bad sun burned and I remember it was quite terrible. Yeps...many cells were destroyed that day. If I could just get my hubby to use the lotion. Hopefully this video helps since I made him listened. Thanks đ

I love the little cartoons. They are adorable and somehow I actually learned a lot watching the video. So thanks for the video. Also, side note. Everything Iâve used for sunburn has had some form of aloe or tea tree oil in it ^_^
Carbon is what it's called. It grows naturally in all things that are biologically connected to the planet.
Just had a holiday. Leaving todayđ Thanks for the infođđ»đ
I once forgot to apply sunscreen to my legs before going to the beach, only realized after a couple of hours. At first it didn't seem that bad, my skin was just a little red...
Then I woke up the next day with tennis-ball blisters on my legs. That was one of the most painful mistakes I've made. Weeks of excruciating pain everytime I had to move my legs, Tylenol and Codeine barely contained it.
Never ever forget to apply sunscreen to all parts of your skin that are going to be exposed to the sun.
This was very informative, thanks. But could explain HOW sunblock works? I never understood how a transparent cream that disappears as you rub it in protects you. Clothing and shade is obvious.
That cream is absorbed into the skin and since it stays at basically the surface it actually blocks UV light which is what we really need to worry about. Think of it as a mirror that bounces dem uv rays away from you.
There are two types of sunscreen. One type actually bounces the uv rays off your body and the other type reacts with them on the surface of your skin so it doesnât harm you.
I got sun poisoning once when I was a teenager. Was on acne medication and went to the beach shirtless for a day. The medication makes your skin super sensitive, and I was an idiot and didnt wear any sunscreen. All I could do for the next week was stand under a cold shower and try not to cry. It was extremely painful. All the Dr could do was give me some medicated cream. Still have scars on my back from it, and Im 36 now. I still spend a lot of time outdoors fishing, but I use UPF clothing to keep the sun off of me
Iâm white like Casper and always wear sunscreen with a mix of bronzer to help me try to get a tan. Iâm slowly taking in about 10 minutes each side and go back inside over a few days so far Iâm getting some color
