Feel free to request ALMOST any scene lol. Try to avoid really dark scenes like "Waltz" or "Empok Nor" I could probably do them in 1080-1440pish because it still keeps some of the film grain, but at 4K it's a complete nightmare lmao. Settings: Iris at medium, every slider turned all the way to the left. Then I use blur to cover up the over sharpening that happens. Currently this is the only way I've found that adds as much detail as possible and looks as accurate to the 480p original without smoothing or erasing lines like Iris at low does. The drawback is that it is completely unfeasible to do for an entire episode as it takes an insane amount of time to do so unless you have many people working with you on it.

Which is one of the reasons sisko was pissed at Garak. He realized that he was manipulated the entire time. Such a deep episode. Note: Garak never contacted anyone on cardasia. He always knew it was a fools errand. so, he lied. in order to creat this entire scenario.
Notice how Garak emphasized the word? It was most likely a reference to Sisko what was at stake since mentioning the word at seemingly random he invoked that the Enterprise represents the ideal of the Federation.
@@nielsjensen4185 Or more likely it brings back memories of Wolf 359 and what is happening on the front; why he is selling his soul to bring the Romulans into the war...
I feel like this video is missing the obligatory comment about the probably canon accurate fan theory that Garak always had a data rod, and invented this man to get the biomimetic gel from Bashir to make the untraceable explosives, one of the things he mentions as a danger of the gel. Pretty sure sfdebris came up with it, but I can't not see it fit perfectly into the episode to the point I feel like it's more a solved easter egg than a theory.
Also to add that the scene where he said all his old contacts had been killed was a lie to convince Sisko of the stakes. He even tells Sisko to tell a similar lie to the romulan later in the ep.
Also he probably only needed like 50 liters, maybe less. He knew Sisko would balk at 200 liters, and he likely already knew there "isn't that much in the entire sector". This makes it easier to negotiate "down" to the actual number. It likely also could have been a test of Sisko's character. If he was willing to accept breaking Federation law about the gel, he would be willing to do anything else, including accepting deaths.
