Great vocals by Phil Collins, imitating the characters in the song. Always reminds me of "Battle of Epping Forest", the crime-theme and the humor.
Absolutely. I wonder which one of the Epping Forest hoods we're dealing with here?😄 I also think it's funny that they considered BOEP very difficult to perform live, and that this one went into the live set anyway! Both rely on the front man and Phil delivers straight up.

My thoughts exactly. I have seen them back to "Lamb lies down on Broadway" days. 7 times in all. Still blown away everytime I experience them. So glad I grew up in a time when music was at it's best. 60's 70's 80's , then came disco🤮

The most underrated song from this album
One of my favorite song endings of all time. The whole song is incredible, but what a gargantuan outro.
Another story set to a great melody, it reminds me of Battle of Epping Forest and Get 'em out by Friday. Phil's vocals suited this song so well, Trick of the Tail is definitely one of their best albums!
In my opinion definitely there best album but that's just me..
@@squonk86 As you say Ron, we all have our favourite album. For me TOTT was an album l eagerly awaited the release of, and definitely wasn't disappointed, highlights being Entangled, Mad Man Moon and Dance on a Volcano. I still prefer earlier albums such as Foxtrot and Selling England by the Pound, it's almost as if they are the 'proper' Genesis!
My faves always Duke but s few cheap songs on it, more than you can say for Trick

@@roderickoconnor6798 Why wouldn`t it be? Because every track isn`t 25 minutes long and the album happened to have a top 10 hit single? Stuff like Heathaze, Cul-De-Sac and Duke`s Travels are some of the best Genesis songs you can find if you ask me.

Raw Salt and Butter... love this track, its SICK, but also, Steve appears for less than 1 sec in the video during the solo and Phil shoots Tony and Mike... the video is something else, love it.

It might be bc I had an American copy of the album, but I remember a different order of the songs! 🤔 The album kinda told a story that way. In fact I think it was a "concept" album, and i think it was structured like classical symphonic piece ( I'm probably using the wrong terminology here). So I'm disappointed that this is the "official" channel .
