Ooo this will be fun. Spies are usually a bit of an after thought in my games, so it'll be good to see them used properly!

With every passing game I grow more and more confident in my ability to predict whether Ryan's going to take (or would take if given the option) the Lady of the Reeds and Marshes pantheon. He hadn't even started the first turn and my conviction in that pantheon choice was all I could think about. I can't predict any of the other pantheons with anywhere near as much accuracy, it's bizzare.

Stealing great works is super fun and satisfying. almost feels like mini rockbands that pay off more in the long run
if you like the civ expanded mod, i really like playing with harmony in diversity mod. spices up the whole game
What does that mod actually do? I see it and I'm curious but I only ever seem to find the kind in Chinese so I've not a clue what the mod is for LOL
I guess you have two Calais because the mod changed the scripted name of the capital to Calais but left the name in the names that a founded city can take
Interesting start. I rarely use spies offensively, so it will be cool to see what you're able to do with them.

Reyna in one of the east anglea cities that have a lot of forests would be great if you gave her forestry management.
Plenty of gold to gain there, plus a few commercial hubs & an encampment would make them great trade hubs with decent defense.

First game I've seen where the Golden Gate Bridge could have been relevant if it was only 1 tile to the British Isles vs 2. Alas.

hey Ursa have you ever considered doing a few games with the BBG (Better Balanced Game) mod? it's pretty standard use for multiplayer but I've found it quite enjoyable for single player too.
Never played with it but will check it out if I get a chance!
@@UrsaRyan If you have any plans to do multi-player you should get plenty of practice in with BBG. It changes a lot of things and I've seen experienced single players make big mistakes when they try BBG because they play on muscle memory rather than actually reading what things do.

Did you think about buying the copper tile near Preslav before sending an envoy to them, which triggers a tile expansion? Also why did it later build an encampment on that tile? Odd.
I don't often gold buy tiles to be fair - normally I use gold to generate army or to make more gold. Always a good tactic though

Ursa I suggest playing a few games with better balanced game. It is seriously underrated imo I never played with it because I thought it was just for mutiplayer, but it makes the deity AI play much better in my experience. They actually are a threat to win the game past turn 50 with it! Cheers
