You can be critical but i feel so bad for him. Hes one of the most passionate in the whole squad. The video of him running down the stairs had me in hysterics. No room for abuse at all. Its one thing if a player decides he wants to go but if he's pushed out from his own fans thats a completely different thing. Also how does that look to new potential signings?. If you have a rough patch be prepared for abuse. How many G/A has he had in all comps?. I think i read he averages a goal every 1.7games.

Gini left because of him not feeling valued. Mané left because he felt the club didn't value him. Nuñéz wants to leave because of a few idiots online. He did the same at Benfica. The main issue here is his "touchyness". If he can't handle social media, he shouldn't have it. I hope he will do better under Slot, but it might not be. And social media won't get easier for him. Lovren had his family threatened online, but he pointed out the people that did it, not our whole fan base.

Darwin has played for Liverpool for two years, how long do you give him to become the finished article 3, 4, 5 years? He came with a big price tag so to a certain extent you expect him to be worth it. £85,000,000 for a squad player. I don't think there's any doubt about his passion and his stats have been reasonable this year and there is no need for personal abuse but can he turn the inconsistency into 25 - 30 goals a season? His technique is far from perfect but if he just calmed down in front of goal, took that split second to relax he’d genuinely have 20+ goals and 15+ assist, his numbers are already elite despite everyone saying he’s awful, I’m not sure if it is fixable but even Salah seems to be really snatching at stuff at the moment and he’s scored a million goals, maybe it’s something behind the scenes we don’t know about.
He might never get it but I’ve seen him be calm in front of goal, it just seems to change from game to game, I think it’s 95% mental with him, his physical attributes are there for all to see.
Ultimately he gives you something that very few players on the market can and the upside of keeping him and him working it out is huge, the club aren’t just going to take a massive loss on him because some loser rats online aren’t happy, a lot will depend on the new manager, maybe he has a plan for him (I would hope so) just like he should Salah and Trent and szob etc

Just selling nunez wont solve the issue. Salah only has 2 more open play goals and jota and diaz both have less goals and assists. If you dont sell salah liv will continue to have zero pace down the right and a winger that cant beat players 1v1 anymore and isnt doing much to help the mids on def. Why not sell salah keep nunez for a season and stick him on the right and by a new striker. That way you atleast have pace again and he will help the mids greatly. If it doesnt work out sell him after that. To me salah isnt worth 3 times the wages anymore its time to cash in and rebuild with slot. City would do it in a heartbeat. Put him on the right he has more pace then salah and will help the mids. This season salah has 2 more open play goals and 2 more assists then nunez, jota and diaz both have less goals and assists. I dont think just getting rid of him will solve the issue. To me salah isnt worth 3 times the wages, hes also not in the top 10% in any stats like dribbling, shooting, passing, sprinting ect..on top of that his pace is gone and he cant beat players 1v1 anymore. Thats the opposite of what you want from a winger. If liv would get 100 m+ for him sell him in a heartbeat thats just good buisness. Then buy a new striker

Next season is gonna be peak if we keep Nunez & sell Salah. I trust our club is not that stupid though.
