- I am by no means an expert, but here is a starter guide to converting a HAED cross stitch pattern into a diamond painting. I hope this helps you to get started.

Thank you for explaining on how to order one of these. This is definitely on my bucket list of diamond paintings to do! It is very interesting and I'm glad there are mini ones to try out, which is what I'll probably do first. I know I had seen this video a while ago so when I was watching Emeralds and Fairy Lights mentioned you on her video and then it clicked! Again, thank you for a great breakdown!
Thank you for making this video. I've been wanting to do a HAED but had no clue the difference between the max color and regular or even that there were mini designs. All I knew was that you can purchase the design you want from the HAED website.

I'm afraid I'm too terribly lazy to do this myself, so I will have to stick to kits that come with everything I need...lol. or custom pictures, but they do the work for me. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the video. I just started diamond painting so don't have a lot of spares yet, but love this idea. I have started looking at charts on the website for possible projects. One that I like is already available as a kit from DYI Moon Shop so I'm not sure if it's less expensive to buy from them or get the chart and blank canvas.
HAED are gonna also have Diamond Paintings coming out in August/September no diamonds just the printed canvas with a color chart.

I recently ordered a blank canvas also and I just told the seller I needed a 400 diamond W by 250 diamond H canvas, I didn't gave them the size in centimeters and I got exactly the right size :).
I haven’t quite finished the video, about 3 minutes left, but I wanted to let you know before you place your order for the mini canvas, you reversed your numbers. You calculated 46cm and put into the letter 64cm. Thank you for this video.
Oops. I’m a tit. 😂 and I’ve ordered the canvas. 😱 at least it’s too big rather than too small. 😎 I’ll have to think of another project to do.

Tracy Goodenough smiths beads aren’t allowed/licensed to sell haeds anymore and are breaking copyright laws now by doing so if selling pre printed canvases
I downloaded the emulator they recommended and its absolutely safe and easy to use. So I now have Blue Stacks on my Windows laptop with Pattern Keeper installed.

ive watched a lot of your videos and love them all, it was watching you that got me hooked on haed designs and i went on to do little dreamers tree supersized max colour.
ive not done one for a good year and have gotten back into it im doing animal kingdom max colour but the canvas has so many problems that im having to stop and order four seperate canvases, i wanted to say thankyou for your videos im just going to find your video of where you purchased your canvas from. keep being awesome and keep doing what you do its fantastic

Just today I purchased Josephine Wall’s Capricorn in a 90cm x 72cm. I won’t receive it for a couple of months due to COVID-19 related shipping restraints. I’d love to find the listing of the 325 DMC numbers and symbols to begin preparing the organizing of the diamonds. Too bad the head site is under construction right now... I wanted to look at the free ones, ah well I'll will have to wait a little. Have currently too many projects going as it is. Loved your explenation, i didn't notice that you reversed the length, i have (I dont know if it is called the same in English) discalculie, wich is like dyslexia but with numbers. I just read it in the comments. Indeed good that you rather have too much than too little haha. Love to see how both of you're head designs will look once they're finished!

I was watching some HEAD videos when suddenly this video showed up. Nowadays I would recommend JadedGemShop for resin square drills in the USA. The content is still very helpfull. 🐱

I’m not sure. I’ll have to wait for it to arrive to be sure.
Awesome video! I did want to point out some things you missed and 1 thing that was wrong. So the thing you got wrong was saying that minis dont come in max color. Thats not true. There are plenty of mini charts with max color but are not as common due to confetti hell. Those will not have 200+ colors obviously but still well above the average 90. Some things you missed or forgot to mention was the Quick stitch (QS) and storykeep charts. Those are smaller portions of a regular chart. In regards to the new numbers: 1 and 01 ARE NOT THE SAME!! 1 is blanc which can be substituted with 5200 like you said. However there is also 32 and krenik 032 which ARE NOT THE SAME!! Krenik is a sparkly thread that they use which can be substituted for 5200 or AB 5200. You can find a list of conversions in the facebook group. Last thing i want to mention is the special service option. If you cant find a chart in the size you are looking for or the amount of colors you want, you can request things like max color, color expansion, mini size, quick stitch, super size, etc using the special service link on the HAED website

Hello. I have watched your video and how to order supplies which has been really helpful. I was just wondering how you got on ordering your blank canvas from Calvert Crafts & if you were happy with the canvas you received. I followed your instructions, which I thought were really nice and clear & they must have got confused when I requested a larger border beyond the sticky grid area. I added on 4cm each side like you did, but it looks like you can only get 2cm margin per side. Could you confirm what happened when you placed your order & if the canvas met your expectations please? Thank you for doing such a great video :-)

Hi. Thank you so much for this video. It was easy to follow and I am pleased to say I am well on my way to ordering my first blank canvas to do an HAED design. One question I have is that is there somewhere that I could get a poured glue blank canvas or would you not recommend this? Look forward to your reply.
I think Hankins store on Ali Express does poured glue; however, I have heard many say it's not the best to work with for a HAED.

How do estimate how many spare drills you have left over? Tx
A lot of the time I guess. Or put them in a little storage pot that I know holds a certain amount. If it's half full, it's half the amount etc.
Rebecca, can you suggest some places where you can buy the diamonds from in such a large quantity, that have good quality

hi can i add something i get my diamonds from smiths beads ive used them for my current haed and my new one im doingl the diamonds are lovely ive not had any problems and the customer service is second to none also if you are thinking of doing a heaven and earth i just tell them the chart im doing and they sort out how many diamonds i need, they also sort out the canvas for you as well
Great info, but check your figures again for the canvas. You put 64 on your template, but it was supposed to be 46.

Shouldn’t your canvas be 46cm x 82cm and not 64cm x 82cm?
Also just wanted to mention that you only have a certain time-frame to download your pattern from HAED. I normally email the downloaded pattern to myself as well as placing a digital copy on a flash drive for safe keeping.

Any idea what I could do if I only have a canvas with DMC # but no quantities or cross stich chart? I received the wrong beads, and no quantity sheet so I'm looking for another solution other than counting each freaking drill space (going back to the seller is no longer possible at this time)
I'm not sure in that situation. Maybe if you are able to use pattern keeper or a similar app it can let you know how many?

I AM THRILLED to have been sent to you!! I have been a sub of yours for quite a while now but have just begun looking into HAED. Can you assist me with the grade of canvas that one can order as well as if they are poured glue or DSA= (Double Sided Adhesive)? Some canvases are awful and will fray. Looking for a better quality for going into this project. Also will be heavy so want it to last. Thank you so much!!
I’ve not had a problem with the quality of both blank canvas’ I’ve ordered so far and they are both DSA
Hi Rebecca, I am about to purchase my new HAED, I am curious as to why the symbols are not on the colour code sheet? (I have been saving my diamonds LOL)
Some they don't have as the download on the website. If you email though they will send them, or they do come with your full chart.

Hello Rebecca, I know this video is a couple years old but I just wanted to let you know that Bradley Cooper is no longer in business. I went their website and there was a message saying that they are no longer in business. PS, thanks for making this video since I just purchased a couple designs from HAED and am looking for canvases to purchase.
