Alex: Sells economical diesel to avoid paying ULEZ charge
That announcement would have me selling a house, not cars.
Alex, you could always go the other way and get an older car. Take my 1965 Mustang for example, ULEZ exempt, Tax exempt and MOT exempt! Not to mention classic insurance of sub £350 with full European breakdown included as well as an agreed value of £45k.
The ULEZ zone is an absolute joke. I live just in the outskirts of Greater London, so regularly cross into London boroughs. Just to visit friends and family, or go to the shops, is £12.50! Thousands of workers are going to be affected, and not just inside London. Not to mention the environmental cost of taking these perfectly good cars off the road. Great video, sad to see the X5 go.

The worst part about ULEZ is that it's £12.50. So like everything else with a fine, it's legal for the rich.

Also live in london, east end myself. Recently this week sold my first car, a VW Polo Blue GT trading in for a new car, so I can relate to the sadness. The bit I relate to the most is the living in London bit. The borough I live in charges an emission fee on top of the cost of the parking permit. So despite buying a new car which meets emission standards, the borough is charging me for having a hybrid car that puts out 139g/km to the tune of another £100 a year on top of the £100 it costs for my parking permit. But, people who have drives and have older e36's are not being charged for the boroughs emissions tax to drive their cars...

Honest question, how did this expansion get approved politically? Wouldn't it completely screw anyone with low to moderate income who has to run out and purchase a new car or pay the massive daily fee?

Ulez is a bonkers idea. My 2013 1 series, not allowed. Brother in laws E60 M5, come on in. Glad i love nowhere near it and can happily keep the pair of diesels on the drive.
More videos with Harry please! Love his dry humour. Would be great to see him with you and Taylor every now and then. Also, some very cool stuff in that barn.
