- Well, in the end I decided to split the tutorials up by their respective subjects (due to length and your convenience), so here's the Tactics tutorial.
Quick summary of what's in here:
Basic controls on the Tactics screen.
Explanations for character AI settings.
Stats and their relative stat boosts.
Suggestions for battle formations.
First and foremost, there's a lot of text as usual but now there's actually time to read most, if not all, of it. Gasp! Also, I consider HP Recovery to be a defensive property and FG Recovery an offensive one, which will explain some of my choices for categorizing those formations. There's one formation that would have probably been better off in a different section, but I'm just trying to give you guys some ideas so it shouldn't be a big deal.
There's nothing mindblowing in here, but hopefully you'll learn something anyway. I would have had the next storyline segment done by now had some little 2 year old not badgered me the entire afternoon in the waiting room...in any case, I'll have that up as soon as I can. - Zábava
This is pretty helpful. I could tell that stats and bonuses were involved but I couldn't tell much else. Thanks!
You select the character you want to swap in by using the Triangle button, move over to the person that you want to swap out, and press Triangle again. The first 4 members (i.e. the 4 people closest to the top of the screen) are the ones who are in your battle party and the person in the upper left-hand corner (i.e. spot #1) is the character who you'll be controlling.
