I would highly recommend at least a basic knowledge of Katakana if you really are interested in cooking, but I have written the ingredients and recipe names in Romaji for those of you who can't read a lick of Japanese. You can plug that Romaji into this website (thanks Rose!) and it'll spit out the respective Katakana and Hiragana for you(all of the ingredients except for TOUFU are written in Katakana, BTW); that way you'll have some idea of what ingredients you're actually buying:

Also, I changed the music at the end because I didn't want to make you listen to the world map music for 3+ minutes. The track is called Carmine and it's from Atelier Iris Eternal Mana 2 ~Red Lucifer Rising~ Arranged Tracks Album (Don't get me wrong, I like Motoi Sakuraba...but he's got nothing on Gust!).
It's irritating how my subs got shifted over too. Not all of them, just some of them. sighs Oh, and I've attached a shorter version of this as a video response that has only the translations for the recipes in it; I'm not trying to kill you people who know how to cook already or the poor souls on dial-up.
EDIT: Gack, this is why I don't write in Romaji anymore. Cheese is CHIIZU in Japanese, not cheezu.

Yeah, I guess the MP and the FFG are supposed to be Rebirth's equivalent of the Wonder Chef. =P
And you're right, some of the effects are delayed. I can't remember the details, but I think you hear a tone and a message will pop up when the effect actually kicks in. I haven't found those to be too useful, but I guess they have their purposes.
I haven't played any of the Atelier Iris games yet (translating is a freakin' time sponge O_o), but it's such a great song that I couldn't resist! ^^
Heh heh, thanks! This is one of those games that lends itself towards video tutorials, so I'm just taking advantage of that. Hopefully betweeen these and the stuff on GameFAQs, we'll have covered most everything in Rebirth. ^^

Oh haha XD But Atelier Iris 2 is really good it has like literally the same graphics as rebirth too kinda short though XP but yeah it has great music but anyway, nice work with well, everything else for this game so far! =D
