It's easy to forget how good VInce GIll is playing electric, after all his acoustic country work. He's incredible - and Keith Urban is no slouch, either.
There is absolutely nothing he doesn't sound good playing or singing and he's not in constant spotlight. No politics. Just jams. He still sounds the same soulful self he always had. Great job on this song
Well when you intro the song saying, "I've gotten to play this song with him every night for the last 7 years", you better not butcher the lyrics. Vince is a legend, but come on man! They have lyric monitors sitting there on stage.....
Back 35yrs ago when Vince Gill was all Country I sure never thought he'd 1 day be a member of 1 of my favorite Rock groups...The Eagles...& performing my favorite Joe Walsh songs.lol I like THIS version of Vince Gill way better!
@@stevehensley7731 Glen Campbell called Keith the best guitarist in the world. Glen was one of the greatest ever, and I'm not much of a country fan. But these guys can PLAY! Some of my favourites are Keith and John Mayor wailing on the blues and rock! Those guys can play anything. 🎸🎸
Legends, both, together 😮😊🎉❤. Thank you for sharing this amazing video with us 💜. Seeing these two together on stage performing is a remarkable treasure ❤.
I have honestly never listened to country music, but I now have a new found and deep respect of Mr Gill and Mr Urban. That was pure rock and roll style guitar...
Keith is one of the best guitarist in the world. Check out some of the odd songs on his albums. Some are used on commercials and introductions to other nonrelated events.
If you get a chance, watch Ken Burn’s ‘Country Music’ documentary. You will realize all our present day music started when blues and country music melded.
@@stevewalter1090 yessiree I absolutely am. Chester being as big a fan of vince as Vince is of him was cool to hear! Another great one is watching him and Brent Mason play together. Absolutely epic back and forth!
What a great tribute to Joe Walsh! I totally agree with you Vince, Joe is the most underrated musician I can think of. Joe is also the humblest, grateful and least pretensions man I can think of and if he saw Vince saying this he would be embarrassed.
I love the contrast in their appearance! Keith looks like a rocker while Vince looks like your dad’s buddy who does your taxes for free 😂 But put guitars in their hands and they’re brothers! Awesome performance, thanks for sharing
Rocky Mountain Way The Smoker You Get, The Drinker You Are. I was three or 4. It is funny how a song like that still wets my taste buds. I look to all kinds of ways to keep playing rhythm. That's all I prefer as a player. If I could play leads, then you could bet that I would be in it for the money. Keep playing, continue to having your fun! Thank you!!! 🤟🏻|Bones
How is it that with all of stringed abilities and flat out talent Vince has can he not be in the top 100 guitar players of all time? You don’t get on stage with the Eagles and not be top notch!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤so awesome!!!!!!!! You played Beautiful vince ,I love the song rocky mountain way , I had to start dancing in the kitchen, love the song ,Thank you !!!!!!
Ditto Vince, this was one of the first albums I bought as a teen. Me and my buddies formed a garage band and jammed this song virtually every weekend...
I gotta say its so awesome to see and hear vince making that axe wail like a banshee. We all know keith can shred with the best. But this is outside vince gill's advertised skillset and as a fan its really so great to witness. One more reason ill be a fan of both until i die and beyond.
I’m a casual, fair-weather fan of country music, so maybe I don’t know what I’m saying, but I’d love to see Vince Gill, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley in a cage match with the guitar of their choice just going at it.
I saw him with The Timejumpers in Nashville (3rd and Lindsley) and he was playing the 2 Little Walters. Never heard a better sounding guitar.@@rockylane7960
Walsh is one of the best ever,Vince isnt bad himself ,not bad at all. Vince should have tried the talk box that would have brought the house down.Urbans skills are way underrated
I remember seeing Vince in one of if not his very first band “Mt Smoke” a bluegrass band open for Kiss in 77 I think. They got booed off the stage. Vince flipped off the audience. I’ve appreciated Vince ever since his days with Pure Prairie League I wouldn’t go see Kiss now if you gave me front row tix and a limo to get me there.
you know the difference between a rock music fan and a country music fan? Have your favourite country band drop a great classic rock song at their show and the fans will know it and love it. Have your favourite rock band drop a great country music classic (other than your standard Johnny Cash song) and the fans will want to leave.
Yeah there's no arguing about Vince's very talented guitar playing , and I'm thinking that a n Allstar concert with VINCE , Keith Urban , Joe Walsh , slash (from guns and roses fame) Eric Clapton and several other guitar legends would be an almost immediate sellout because of the variety of fans who would want to attend mostly want to see their favorite musical 🎶 giants together on stage in a big time jam session of songs each of the stars ⭐ are known for 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤😊
Vince is too humble, he’s right there at the top of the list as both a musician and a vocalist. Pure God given talent.
Thank You Vince Gill
Your A Great Guitarist yourself
Excellent comment.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Vince is the most talented guy on the current Eagles tribute band.
@@stevebiloschaetzke779wrong. Is this a Vince gill song or a Joe Walsh song? Bozo. What band does Joe play in?

And Joe Walsh 👍
What's so good about that? My 12 year old son can play that
Don't forget Brad Paisley.
@@rtaylor61 No doubt. There are some great country players out there.
Any J Hyland, Molly Tuttle or B Strings fans here?
That's why he has 22 Grammys!
Playing a Les Paul standard 🇺🇸🎶
Hard to believe that song is 50 years old. We saw Joe Walsh play it at Pine Knob in 1975. We drank all the beer that night. 😅
Those boys tore it up - Joe must be proud!
I love watching great players go back and forth. What a great bunch of musicians. Urban and Gill have the chops!
I was there - I heard it - and it absolutely made my night. Vince Gill is one amazing guitar slayer!
Lucky you!
There is absolutely nothing he doesn't sound good playing or singing and he's not in constant spotlight. No politics. Just jams. He still sounds the same soulful self he always had. Great job on this song
When you're the great Vince Gill, you can sing the lyrics any damn way you want! Great version!
Are there any words?? All I hear is guitarrrrrr!!

Love you both and of course, Joe Walsh! Excellent!!!

just another reason the Eagles want him to play with them, he's great! Rock it Vince! 👍👍👍👍

Only uneducated rock fans would.
Anybody notice he screwed up the opening lyric? It's not "same as last year" ... It's "spent the last year".
