My partner had seen Whitney Houston live in London in the 80s!! He says he can’t really remember anything (gutting!!)but she was tiny onstage with a big voice! ❤
She sang that part about the smile greeting someone else's face like she was MAD she sang that like "I AINT HAD A GOOD MORNIN SINCE THAT SMILE BEEN OUT MY LIFE..... I USE TO HAVE COFFEE, EGGS & YO SMILE EVERY MORNIN....THE COFFEE & EGGS THE SAME...AND IM NOT!" And when she hit that HEY HEY HEY I was in church! The amazing thing too is that's a her thing (of her generation & time especially), you can watch her perform this song in 1985, 86, & 87....and she gives different moments vocal attention you wouldn't expect from the previous performances or the album version, she added to the song gave it more seasonings & life the more she sang ber songs through the years
Great reaction man. Thank you for keeping her legacy alive. This was such an outstanding time musically. If music was like this today, youth would be so much different. I’ve always said part of the reason why the world was a much easier place… Was because of the music that was portrayed.
She was very rarely shaky, this was almost like a debut performance of hers, so i imagine she was very nervous. Once she started though she felt right at home. Also you are adorable I have to say. Where did all that muscle come from? 😮😅
