Today I uploaded this, a second look at the Casio Gshock GMW B5000 D-1 Affectionately known as the Full Metal Square. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Over a year!
It was purchased way back in 2018!

I bought mine 6 month's ago. I love it so much that it has been on my wrist almost every day.
Nice review. The afterglow backlight is adjustable on this model G-Shock for 2 or 4 seconds, yours is set for 2 sec so you’ll be happier at 4 seconds since you like longer backlight times.
Does your light blink red led lights befor it turns off after 2 seconds?

Thank you for this nice Update Review of the Full Metal Square. You can choose in the settings between 2 or 4 seconds Illumination, I changed my for 4 sec. I Love the GMW B5000D.

I did put mine on 4 seconds. (Love the fade out function) I also liked the fact that you can change the date format from month/date to date/month.

How come this has a blue back light?
The o es I see for sale in the uk have white back light, or is it adjustable via the app?

Brought this watch 4 days ago. I love it. Very pricey but worth it. Certainly not a daily driver for me. I have a G5600E for that, but it definitely works in other situations. Looks great on the wrist when wearing a suit or casual night out.

No where at the moment due to being furloughed. Lol! But usually at Jared The Galatia Of Jewelry in Murfreesboro Tennessee (a suburb of sorts about 20 minutes south of downtown Nashville). Oh yea, the Oceanus is cool! 👍
how can I adjust the strap length at home? do I need special tools for it?
It has spring bar pins so you just need a pin tool or maybe a thumb tack or something to press and release the pin. Super easy just be careful when doing it so they don’t fly out and lose it.

Yo should be fine. You will just need to remove a good bit if links but afterwards it should fit fine

6 inches is too small as the endlinks flare out.

It really shouldn’t be a problem, I’ve seen Women wearing G Shocks out and about.
The problem is the lug to lug distance... I see a lot of complaints of people with smaller wrist sizes.
@@badfuleco Not so much the lug to lug distance but more how the first bracelet links do not conform to a small wrist. His wrist is the minimum size for this watch to look good.
