Because they like something that the Party Crashers (except for Vernias) hate.
Gotta love how the game tries to give a positive example by having all characters look both ways before crossing, while on the same board they teach you important lessons such as "Shady people in alleys are nice to you", "Hitching a ride with strangers leads to success" and "Apes in cars are something you definitely shouldn't run from".

I love playing Mario Party 8 since middle school and Koopa's Tycoon Town is definitely one of my favorite maps in the game.
That board is terrible like whoever Falls in the special tiles just get 3 free stars the one with dk and the goomba's booty 🥴 are better but i respect your opinion
