That was nice and informative of the riding experience, as I just purchased a R60/2

Angus quite a shop there, listen I´ve been riding a 1955 r69 which I purchased back in 1980 and I didn´t like the clunk when shifting gears so after experimenting a little I found out that if you shift in 2 quick steps instead on a 1 step it doesn´t sound at all and you´ll master the 2 step method in no time.

This "two step" method is called "double clutching". Between each gear there is a neutral, not as obvious as between 1 and 2 but it is there. To discover this, with the engine off and clutch out, sit on your bike and rock it back and forth while gently moving the shifter.
Now, with the bike rolling, try double clutching your shifts. Shift slowly and deliberately at first until you get the hang of it. When shifting up use the clutch to get it out of the lower gear. Gently nudge it out, release the clutch in the neutral, clutch again and shift the remaining way into the next gear and finally let the clutch back out.
Down shifting is a little more tricky and involves a simultaneous quick slight "tap" of the throttle while going through the neutral and the clutch is out.

I don´t know if we´re talking about the same, you pull the clutch just once and your left foot twice quickly, there will be no noise.
