I go for a rid eon my 2002 Kawasaki kx250 and see what it has to offer. Thanks for watching and subscribing! New videos every week! Instagram: 2_vintage_ Snap: the2vintage
More important, he needs to feel warm radiators before he takes off. With water cooled bikes, the cylinder won't expands with the piston as the piston gets hot and the cylinder is still cold. I bet his piston has scuff marks on it, but it can also seize if you take off too fast, (but he did not take off very hard). It was called a "cold seizure".
Had a 98 , has alot of power! I hope to find another some day along with a 500!! Very nice bike, dont sell it!! Also, learn to quick shift. Keep throttle pinned and just change gears. Great vid!! Beautiful bike
I remember an old MXA article about shifting for starts. There are 4 ways. Some are faster, some need more parts replaced, (the fastest way of course). 1) Shift normal: Let off the gas, pull in the clutch, shift, and back on the gas as you let out the clutch. (slowest) 2) Leave the throttle pinned, fan the clutch and shift. Called "speed shifting" 3) Don't use the clutch at all, let off the gas a tad and shift, back on the gas. (the one I adopted and got great starts with.) 4) Leave it pinned, and just jam the shift with out the clutch. Newer bikes may do this better, they shift so nice. But I bet it is still hard on tranny parts. 1-4 is the order of speed too. I tested 1-3 on a moist dirt road back in 84, and picked the one with the shortest coasting patch between gears. That was number 3. MXA back in 84 said the same thing would happen also. 2021 MXA recommends #2, and I stopped buying that mag because of stuff like that. They are not nearly as sharp as the generation before. But then again, nobody is. I can't even find a Doctor with a good brain today.
I wasn't either, until I bought a 97 KX250. A bit big and heavy compared to the Honda maybe, and pumped my arms up on a track, (monster mid-range power, and I was not in the best shape.). But man did I get fast on that bike in whooped out sand trails in Michigan. I never felt that good on a bike before. Using very little energy and one with the bike, it was the only time I felt like I could push it as hard as I can. So,---I liked it. Not a fan now, since they would not let our 2 national champs ride the MXofN a few years back. Too "anti-American" for me.
Thanks for another great video them kx250s have power our good friend Stephen has a 1999 kx250 I have road it a few times abd I love it I just got my first big bike it is a klx300 and I love it our friend Stephen gave it to me it is basically brand new he hardly ever road it
Jourdon Gulick oh yeah they are a tank for sure my klx is an 2004 and I love it our very good friend Stephen gave me my first bike which was a crf100f I have road it about 8 months then he just gave me his klx300 and I love having that power he rides his kx250 all the time and he never really ride the klx300 so he just gave it to me since he hardly rides it
Does your carburetor emulsion tube/ dump tube that your main jet screws in does that come unscrewed? I know on the Mikuni TMX carb they come stock with the number 9. If you put a number 7 in it it cleans up the loading up problem altogether
I had a 2001 KX125 and it had more than enough power for trail riding, jumping, messing around etc plus it was super light and nimble. When I sold it I put a new clutch lever on it and literally 30 seconds after paying me the kid that bought it dropped the bike as he was loading it and broke the lever. lol
Hey man hope your foots feeling better im abiut to pick up my first bike im 24 y/o 6'6 160 pds and i found a 2001 kx250 for 1100 its mint should i buy it for my first bike?
Aye that's a nice bike like..a prefer the Banshee 350cc,twin turbo..I think they are all quick as shit, lol..a would say the Banshee, would kill this do you agree? But cool vlog Bro, good job.
I thought it was going to be fast but then again My last bike was a YZ426F so my expectations were too high lol. M83 midnight city for the win though!!
See how you can touch the ground with both toes (min 3:24). You can't do that with the new YZ250 2-strokes. I have no idea what they were thinking. stupid tall. Taller than a 2022 KX450 and YZ250f. I just finished lowering the suspension today. Perfect. :)
Healthiest bike I’ve ever seen. MY 2002 CR125R is looks just as nice as that and it even has a VFORCE3 carburetor and I have a estimate guess that it’ll go 76.5 mph since it’s not a mess up
Damn just realized I did buy tbis bike from a younger kid haha its currently tore apart waiting for the cylinder to get done started smoking bad after a ywar and a half fouling plug. Crank seal went out getting a full rebuild
Yes he did and i bought it from the kid he sold it to back in June of 2019. Its still very clean even after being on the track but is currently tore apart for a full rebuild crank seal went out started smoking bad and fouling plug so parked it to rebuild
Beautiful bike and era of 2-strokes. Hard to beat a 2-stroke Yamaha or Kawasaki from the late 90s to about 2006/07 or so. I never cared much for Honda's or Suzuki's as much as Kawasaki KXs and Yamaha YZs.
Oooohh. It hurts me to rip my good tire edges down on a pavement road, (or even a really hard dirt road). Yea, they get slippery when the edges are eroded. :)
Damn, that thing must have been kept in a glass case.
Nice intro music ....and that fucking bike rips!!!!!!
I honestly think i bought this bike from someone a couple years ago. Triangle stand is identical to what the kid gave me haha
As soon as the bike starts you should flip the choke off. NOT good to run it with the choke on cold or not doesn’t matter.
It is not Bad except you can foul a spark plug. Right, should turn it off as soon as you can.
I am surprised it was still running when he came back out of the house.
Looks like he forgot because he had one shoe on
Nice bike man, love to see the two strokes still going strong. Especially when they’re as clean as that one
That bike isn't that old`
chaos8585 yea it is
16 years old is not that old.
chaos8585 yeah it kinda is with dirt bikes
Breaks his foot but can run and hop up stairs like a champ lol good ride tho
Mark Bach I was thinking the same thing 😂😂
Broke my foot and maybe do a top speed run in the same sentence
living the dream mate well done, miss my old cr 250 :(
She's a stunner bro, GL with the foot. Got an '02 KX250 myself, and man, does she make me smile...
Dude, that bike is clean! I have a 2000 kx 125 and I could only dream of getting it that mint.
I actually bought it from the kid he sold it to ive had it since June 2019 it is still really clean but tore apart for full rebuild

I’m 16. Just got a 98 today minty condition.
Not a fan of Kawasaki but damn, does that bike look fine!
I wasn't either, until I bought a 97 KX250. A bit big and heavy compared to the Honda maybe, and pumped my arms up on a track, (monster mid-range power, and I was not in the best shape.). I am the 3rd owner of a 1995 KX250 in similar shape

View 184 love it love it love it KEEP IT UP GUYS !!!2vintage ROCKS
These old 2-stroke Kawasaki's and Yamaha's are so nostalgic and cool everybody should have a 125cc, 250cc or both in their barn or garage!
The power of love
One of my first bikes was a KX 125 when I was young love that bike
Motor is so choked up tho needs a good opening up! Stunning bike tho nice to see a sweet factory example
No, it needs to be jetted. They come stock rich, and there is 2 or 3 more hp there if it were tuned well.
Thanks for another great video them kx250s have power our good friend Stephen has a 1999 kx250 I have road it a few times abd I love it I just got my first big bike it is a klx300 and I love it our friend Stephen gave it to me it is basically brand new he hardly ever road it
trey yergin I used to have a 2000 Klx300 and it was an absolute tank.
Jourdon Gulick oh yeah they are a tank for sure my klx is an 2004 and I love it our very good friend Stephen gave me my first bike which was a crf100f I have road it about 8 months then he just gave me his klx300 and I love having that power he rides his kx250 all the time and he never really ride the klx300 so he just gave it to me since he hardly rides it
Got here late but you should do is vs cr in the near future
Nice bike and nice house! Hope your foot gets better.
What a find! Lucky man!

Love 2stroke. Tidy bike and sounds sweet as a nut

When I sold it I put a new clutch lever on it and literally 30 seconds after paying me the kid that bought it dropped the bike as he was loading it and broke the lever. lol
Does anyone know if a rough bottom end on your bike will cause it not to run
Ps great channel keep up the good work
Nice it look brand new like it came out of the crate yesterday
Thanks man i appreciated it
Looks very nice but seriously let them idle for 2 minutes before you rev it up like that if its not already warmed up
I bought a 02 kx250 in April of 2002 new. Great bike.
Your title suggests that you shouldn't be riding it
Your comment suggests you are a jerk
😅😂

"I like it better than my cr,"!
After he said “ do t quote me “😭😂
You should do a race between this and the cr
Literally my dream bike 👌👌
Aye that's a nice bike like..a prefer the Banshee 350cc,twin turbo..I think they are all quick as shit, lol..a would say the Banshee, would kill this do you agree? But cool vlog Bro, good job.
I thought it was going to be fast but then again My last bike was a YZ426F so my expectations were too high lol. M83 midnight city for the win though!!
My dad had a Yamaha Yz 250 completely race built and it was fast!!
Don't wanna break your foot again = wear tennis shoes? C'mon now lol
You should like it more than a CR. Don't really know what you have until it's gone.
Proud owner of a 2000 kx 250 and just as clean if not better.
Had a kx 250 race tuned.awesome bike
She would clear anything when the power and was in.pretty good in the air lol

See how you can touch the ground with both toes (min 3:24). You can't do that with the new YZ250 2-strokes. I have no idea what they were thinking. stupid tall. Taller than a 2022 KX450 and YZ250f. I just finished lowering the suspension today. Perfect. :)

MotoWarrior a cr 125 will not go 76 mph, my crf 250r will only go 75
Country_Kid_Productions it all depends on gearing
How did u come up with 76.5 mph as a guess that's odd
Isnt the vforce a reed valve🤔
ok sticazzi yea it's definitely Reed's lmfao
Damn just realized I did buy tbis bike from a younger kid haha its currently tore apart waiting for the cylinder to get done started smoking bad after a ywar and a half fouling plug. Crank seal went out getting a full rebuild
2stroke are just amazing 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Nice video! Why did you only make one video covering this great bike? Did you sell it shortly after? Thanks
Yes he did and i bought it from the kid he sold it to back in June of 2019. Its still very clean even after being on the track but is currently tore apart for a full rebuild crank seal went out started smoking bad and fouling plug so parked it to rebuild
I bought the same bike years ago off a fat security guard that couldn’t really ride it. Was clean like that one. Beast of a bike 👍🏻
Beautiful bike and era of 2-strokes. Hard to beat a 2-stroke Yamaha or Kawasaki from the late 90s to about 2006/07 or so. I never cared much for Honda's or Suzuki's as much as Kawasaki KXs and Yamaha YZs.
That thing is nice makes me miss my 95 yz 250

Well I started on a Klx125 then went to a KX500 so I think for starters that bike is fine.
On Charlies cr 125. Are those the spikes or is there spike sleeves on it
The White smoke should be a sign. It is running to rich you should fix ist. Clean the carburator or Check for leaks in the motor.
You should buy a 300.keep.up the good vids
The bone breaking couch. 📌📌📌❤️❤️❤️
Love kx bikes my wife has an 02 kx 125
Oooohh. It hurts me to rip my good tire edges down on a pavement road, (or even a really hard dirt road). Yea, they get slippery when the edges are eroded. :)
I like the back ground music
You guy's must have cool neighbours not calling the cops would like a kdx 220 for the road but had to come by in the UK
awesome bro
KX"s have won more MX races than any other bike in history !!
Not in the USA. I would have to guess Honda sits on that throne. Not sure about Europe.
It may be true for amateur races though. There were years where the starting lines were almost all green.
I like your greens Drtbike wut is the year of thedrtike?
Lol i wanted to buy one of these and I'm a beginner 🙄😂my last bike was a honda cr 80
What's your bike?
Midnight city is the best part about this video
Wow es increible, como quisiera ser tu montado en esa gran motocicleta :v
My first bike is a 250 kdx 1993, i began riding it at my an age of 13.
Are you going to do a Cr250 vs Kx 250 race
