Wishmaster:
Wishmaster es el tercer álbum del grupo finlandés Nightwish y fue lanzado el año 2000.
Este disco se caracterizó por ser el que los hizo conocidos en toda Europa por sus fuertes riffs, magníficos y complicados solos de guitarra, poderosa batería, excelente y claro sonido del bajo y también por su apoyo orquestal y la voz de Tarja Turunen, vocalista soprano del grupo.
El disco posee varias canciones pertenecientes al Power metal como es el caso de Wishmaster (inspirada en los libros de Tolkien y las novelas de Dragonlance) y She is My Sin, destacable obra maestra de la banda. Dato curioso es que el tema Dead Boy's Poem se llamó originalmente "Long-Forgotten" y que FantasMic trata sobre las películas animadas de Disney.

Everything around Oceanborn and Wishmaster era up to the EP over the hills and far away is so crazy beautiful to me. Like my heart bursts when listening to it. Maybe it's the nostalgia, or the more innocent times within the band but still. The music is so so beautiful. This era of Nightwish is peak music for me. Just throw my soul when I die within this era of songs and leave me there. Everytime when I am dissatisfied with the world I remember Nightwish exists and similar bands also and I feel a rush of love coming back.
I totally understand your feelings, I feel the same when I hear songs from Oceanborn and Wishmaster. I swear, you really put my thoughts about this era into words

YES !! I think it's to do with the instrumentation (late 90's and early 00's synthesizers add a magical atmosphere) and Tarja's high soprano, that was perfect before she consciously lowered her placement.. so many beautiful songs

Listen, the first Nitwish song was Nemo, and the first album I listened to was Once. Therefore, the most nostalgic for me is Once.
And I fell exactly the same. For me everything around Oceanborn and the EP is like the apex of beautifulness the making can express in songs.
Not the most technical, not the most skilled, and not necessary the most pleasant. But the most beautiful.

God damn, she was nad is unbelievable beautiful, especially in her youth. On the 7th day, God created Tarja.
That started my most favourite era in the band's history, which ended in 2005. My favourite songs, stage image, themes in the lyrics which resonated greatly with my back-then teenage life. Always makes me super nostalgic when I bring back those memories.
Back up vocalist had some pretty good pipes on her.

A big brain move by the all-knowing YLE, you see. Nina Åström went on to become a massive international star, while Nightwish faded back into obscurity even in Finland immediately afterwards...or was it the other way around?

He was a teaching assistant some time before this era of the band. When the teachers were absent they phoned him to stand in. Other times he took care of a student in a wheelchair the class had. Keeping her company with her at lunch and stuff. He said this in a interview i read somewhere recently

oh hell. 23 years and now i found this one. Wondered what the hell was that nightwish song that wasnt on any disc.
One of the most beautiful metal songs i have ever heard, and as a young metalhead i remember being angry that the jury just didnt say OK, WE ARE SENDING THIS. but now after a couple decades im not so sure if this would have been good to Nightwish's career as a band even though they had participated and won.

I'm not sure but I know that around this time there were amazing back-up/unknown singer ladies in Finland. Some other metal/rock bands had them appearing as well, and nobody seemed to know who they were and where they went after a song r two!
