Pretty much my experience with this quiz, except I missed Klinklang, because I thought no fakes would be used. I’m pretty sure you have 12/14 if you got Klinklang though!

I did a little bit of shiny hunting in black 2 back in 2020, and I still got most of the master questions wrong. I love this series, I love trying the quizzes myself as well as watching you 3 interact. Keep it up.

Excellent show, Noki! I got all but the last three master questions right when I tried, this was honestly a nail biter lmao. I'm pretty sure I only know Alomomola because I'm trying to hunt that fish and it's immaculate drip down myself. Ty for the excellent content!

never played gen 5, but i somehow got 8 pts-- getting 14 right especially shocked me, something in my soul told me that fish's eyelashes were green fr.
This was an incredibly difficult test. I only got 1 right in the master section totaling 9 of 14, my lowest yet. Keep up the amazing work noki, cant wait for the next

i love how i'm not even a shiny hunter (at all) but i consistently score over 11 points in these every single time, and get stuff right neither mimik nor tos get right at all (like several of these master ones - i laughed so hard when they revealed their answers at question ten)
i'm pretty sure i scored higher than both in every single quiz you uploaded xD
that being said i've never seen swoobat's shiny holy moly is there a lot going on in that!

This quiz actually had some shiny firsts for me on here! Shelmet was one of my first full odds, random encounter shinies and Krookodile was the first hacked one I got wondertraded (and also my introduction to hacked trades, so I was very confused by it). I believe I got both in Y
the way i thought it was weird drillbur didn't have a nose and didn't consider you could remove it entirely 😭
Yay! I am a master just barely, those first masters were tricky but I did remember that kling klang got different colored dots in the regular sprite so that saved me. Also having caught the final shiny and used it in indigo disc helped a lot

This one was genuinely difficult considering that Unova is the region I know the least of. I managed to keep a perfect streak until question 11, but was able to redeem myself with the bonus. (Very glad to have found a shiny Alomomola from chain fishing a few years back)
Am I the only one who thinks it's strange that people that play pokemon as much as these have not ever seen some pokemon?
I've played the games kind of casually through the years (even skipped some) and even I have seen every one at least once.

My sister and I went against each other! here were out scores:
We were perfect up to question 9, which we both proceeded to get all the next questions wrong. Here were our reasonings:
Me:
9: I thought Vanillite because it looked a bit too red compared to its evolution. I thought it'd be a bit more icy bluish.
10: I did C&D because I KNEW Durant had green eyes. But that Swadloon didn't look right to me...
11: I thought none of them were shiny in the end, although I was VERY sus of the Venipede, I was sure of the others though.
12: Again, I thought none of them were fakes in the end, especially Drilbur. But something caught my eye about the Bisharp... it looked too yellow. Should have trusted myself there.
13: I said A&D because I didn't remember Liepard looking that good... until I realized to late I was thinking of Purrloin. And that Swoobat... was sus.
14: We both said 5, until we realized too late that was Blitzle's color scheme.
My sister:
9: A because she thought there was something off about the lime green.
10: She did A&B because she was certain of Swadloon, didn't know Durant, which she then assumed that the remaining two must have been the fakes.
11: This time, we agreed and she said that there were no fakes, although she was more certain of herself. They all looked very real to her (except maybe Tranquill).
12: She guessed just A was the fake, because she thought Drilbur was more blueish. Her original answer was A&D, bust she second-guessed and said just A before locking in.
13: She thought there were no fakes that round.
14: This time, we both agreed and said 5, until we realized too late that was Blitzle's color scheme.

I love this series! This was definitely tough. I was doing pretty well until the master section though haha
ive normally done a bit better than Mimik and Tos in these (or at least matched) but this was totally the one i expected to flunk since i have never played gen 5 (i was pretty young when those gens were coming out, i had pearl then skipped to X)
surprisingly i managed to get 10/14! i didnt get a single master question right this time, but that Alomomola (? spelling) stood out EASY even though ive never seen the gen 5 sprite. it was so funny though seeing them both so confident that the Excadrill was fake when i knew it was real from seeing a video mentioning some trade in gen 5 where if you trade the npc a shiny Excadrill you can battle them and it will stay shiny
on a mostly unrelated note, ive been playing some Legends Arceus while watching this and resetting for a shiny alpha Gardevoir, and i think your video gave me luck (debatable) as i instead found a Kirlia then an Aipom!! shiny videos are my favorite shiny charms, but unfortunately those little miscolored pixels were added to my failrd shinies because im too lazy to set up the alpha reset thing again
anyway as always i cannot wait for the next one of these!! theyre SO much fun to play along with

The final question i thought was cobalion because i remembered it having a subtle shiny
I don't know if you'll use Megas for the Gen 6 quiz, but I feel like you might trip someone up with Mega Garchomp. Give him regular Garchomp's shiny or something.

I got 9 only because aside from gen 2, gen 5 is my heart and soul. I love gen 5 pokemon and I've never gotten more than 5 on any of your other quizzes so I'm very happy to finally get more. When I got to the master section I got at least 1 pokemon right every time so I'm very happy about how I did this time especially since I don't shiny hunt.
These videos just prove to me more and more that Noki is a total sadist.

I gotta say I had a lot of fun taking this quiz and I gotta say, some of these were definitely tricky and had me guessing if I was right or not. As an avid shiny hunter who hunts alot, this quiz definitely tested my perceptive skills and iq.
Questions 7 and 10 were definitely hard. It had me guessing if Sesmitoad was right or not, then I thought maybe it was Archen or if the flowers on Munna were pink but then I felt it wasn't but I'm glad I got it right about the toad and 10, I really thought shelmet was red but it turned out it was wrong cause I knew Durant was wrong though and had green eyes. And some of the others I got wrong too on Masters level, but still it was super fun testing my knowledge on shiny pokemon since I have played gen 5 and hunted a few shinies from unova before, but.. I honestly never hunted Shelmet or Tympole before so I wasn't sure on that.
Anyways here's how I did.

Answer: I chose to go with B. Garbador and D. Tranquil. Garbador cause... I watched this video before so I kinda knew from there. But honestly, I went for Tranquil cause i thought it was the fake ^^; caught me off guard with the Sigilyph cause, i never hunted that shiny before and.. I really REALLY love it, cause it reminds me of a flying version of Unown somehow, but it's also kinda creepy lol so anyways no points for this one either. ❌
Also, admittedly, Sigilyph wouldn't just scare a child, even adults would be most afraid of it. Lets be honest here, you are all well aware that when adults are afraid of something they don't understand, they fear the _unown_ (pun intended) and they are bound to just turn tail and run, or try to destroy it. But for the most part i think they would run.
Question 12.
Answer: A. Drillbur and D. Bisharp.✔
I chose Drillbur and Bisharp, mostly because again for Drillbur, i looked up images of shiny drillbur, cause i reaaally, didn't even know that it had a blue nose. I thought its nose was black or grey haha. Anyways Bisharp cause I felt it's more of a yellow on its helmet and thought it was more blueish purple so it's why i thought these two shinies were the fakes. ✔+1 point for a %100 answer
Question 13.
Answer: C. Klingklang ✔+1 point
Okay, so I felt this one was really tricky, cause at first I wasn't sure if I was gonna get it right. I kept thinking that maybe Reuniclus was false, then i thought it was Swoobat too, but then I just went with my gut cause i said i'm pretty sure Klingklang has one of its buttons red/or pink.
Question 14.
Answer: 6. Almamola +1 point.
I knew it was real because i remembered I caught an almamola back in gen 8 sword and shield. I remembered the pink/purple with the green eyeshadow. It's always been one of my favourite water types.
So in the end I got 12 points. Some of those Master and Hard questions really had me thinking, it was super fun though and it increased my knowledge of what some of these shinies look like hehe. ^_^
I got 8 right, and man, those Master questions were brutal. I COULD’VE tied at 9, since I was sus on Bisharp, but I stuck to just Drilbur. It was a very early Shiny hunt and I just knew it had a nose, though. That Liepard tripped me up hard, though, and I was suspicious on Swoobat. I completely overlooked the Klinklang dots, though.
I’m so glad I own a shiny Alomomola to know that last question, she was part of a mono-water team I made in Sun after I got her in a random wonder trade.

I got 8 total! I was so proud to get the Drilbur/Bisharp one because of that memory i had of randomly running into a shiny Drilbur in a cave and being like "oh my god he has a blue nose! that's so cute!"

I never played Gen 5, and I've never shiny hunted most of these Mons either nor seen their shiny forms, but I still managed to come in at 8 points with guessing lol.
I got the bonus right because I recently found a random shiny Alomomola and I'm pretty sure Alomomola just went up a few hundred places in my fave pokemon rankings
