- In this episode I am riding from Vanrhynsdorp, to a small town called Kleinsee, along the west coast of South Africa. To reach Kleinsee, I cut straight through the Namaqua National Park, and well... it blew my mind!!

The government of S.A. Should immediately revoke young Itchy’s need for a visa and appoint her a lifetime ambassador. She has single handedly done more to promote tourism to S.A. than the department of tourism since its inception. Each day we get to experience the stunning diversity of S.A. and friendly peoples who live there.
Ride on Itchy, ride on.👏👏👏👏👏
agree
Certainly changed my opinion of SA
I go for it!
It is with my own thoughts that if Nelson Mandela was still with us, he would gladly grant Itchy Boots. Free rein of South Africa with out any hesitations.
He himself believed in the freedom of Man/Woman kind after all.
I agree
Noraly, your efforts in this one do not go unnoticed! The effort to fly the drone when opening yet another gate, to finding the comical gate music, filming the landscape scenery, the editing transitions….all amazing.
I wanted to write the same. Musst be 30% riding, 30% filming, 20% editing and 20% eat and sleep - every day. Its realy amazing.
@@rob_rides_his_monster1289 Totally. As a CZcamsr have a lot of respect for effort. I get tired if I have to attach a microphone for vlogging lol.
Remarkable work throughout and its getting better - the gate sequence is inspired, the humour, the music and slick editing!
@@totoarriba I was just asking this yesterday, how long she takes to finish the video, AFTER riding all day. So, 4 hours, do you have this info from herself?
❤❤❤❤❤
I have never watched a series on CZcams or TV, that has done more to enhance my views on just how good the peoples of every country really are. It makes you realise that Politicians are solely the cause of wars and hatred in the world. I wish that all schools would show your videos as part of every child`s education. Thank you Noraly from us all.
Never a truer word spoken Dave! All peoples need to understand this simple fact.
So well said Dave Ricketts
@@alicemcdougall2541 Thank you Alice. Nice to know that I am not alone in my beliefs.
@Rom vin Good idea, well said.👍
I couldn't agree more. Multiple trips to China have taught me what wonderful people they are. Can't stand their government, but I've never met finer people.
Lets be honest This young lady does all on her own what a whole film crew working for BBC or Discovery Channel does, only with a mesmerizing smile. I'm not sure its legal to be that good ;-)
I’ve thought that many times. She’s just brilliant in what she does and how she does it. The joy!
"not legal...." Great comment.
"Are you alone?" No; Noraly has thousands of enthralled citizens around the world travelling with her! Love from the UK.
And hope you'd like to come back and see all of our British Isles.
Since I subscribed to Itchy Boots her following has grown from 1.64M to 1.67M. That’s in a 5 week period!
Há alguns meses passei a ser um desses mais de 1 milhões de soldados ITCHY BOOTS!
I have to keep reminding myself you are doing this alone because when you talk to the camera it feels like we are there with you. The amount of respect I have for you Noraly is immense and I’m grateful for these breathtaking videos.
It was so thoughtful and humane of Noraly to stop her bike when she thought the orynx running in front of her might be thinking she was chasing him. Even though Noraly herself found out she can't really outrun an orynx, it was still so nice and decent of her to be concerned that she might run the poor animal into the ground. By Jesus, I never even thought people THIS nice like Noraly existed...!
She has been my escape and solace from the 1+ year old Covid lockdown. Also serving as an inspiration to all adventure bikers, men/women, past, present and future. You make it seem so fun and cool. Yet I know it’s not. It’s hard to convey on camera the bone crushing and butt breaking roads you ride for hours. I get exhausted just riding on flat pavement for 2 hours. But we all truly appreciate your journey and efforts to bring us along and your editing has really progressed to becoming EPIC! Thank you for all that you do!
Who would have though a young lady by yourself could make such an international impact on so many lives. You do alone what teams of riders do. 💪💪 thanks for taking us to places most of us will never be able to go and doing it in the most awesome ways. You’re #1 ‼️
Totally agree with every single word of your comment
I, like many others of your fans, are looking forward to your book(s) of your adventures when you decide to settle in one place for a while and take a break from traveling. Then, we can all wait for the feature movie. Who will be the star who represents brave and beautiful Noraly?
She is 35/36 year old lady. Not young lady. She is women, without family
@@nikeu6077 Good point, although I’m sure you’ll agree Tom only meant it in the nicest possible way.
Oh Noraly, how do you do it every time? You whisk me away to a far a way land and lower my stress and heart rate with your beautiful productions. Thank you!
I even get a bit emotional sometimes...
SA has “outback” areas that are possibly better than my country, Australia. Thank you for the work you do to produce these videos and allow us to share your journey :)
I hope someone from South African Ministry of tourism has been watching this episodes. This is a huge publicity by a wonderful woman. Awesome.
Has any South African viewers out there actually told The Ministry of Tourism about Noraly? If so I’m wondering what their response was. Another great episode Noraly, sometimes you seem to be the only person out there! Thank you & stay safe X
Love the gate montage. Great backing music and visuals.
7:40 even with drone footage, lmao, so awesome.
You took my thunder. My smile was a big one.
I have watched every single video of your total world journey and I must admit that you are the best director, screenwriter & editor (and the rest of countless crew). I hope you're gonna get some award soon.
100% @DonPedro6901 - Noraly has such a good eye (and ear - music). The film making craft is epic - as is the valuable travelogue, the riding, the scenery and above all her lovely attitude. I also so relate to being able to solo in this way - decluttered, at peace and embracing new lifescapes (can’t think of the right word) every day. Wonderful.
Oryx: Aaccck! A motorcycle! I need to install more gates!
Hello to the world from the U.S.🇺🇸
You are hilarious!!!
Dear Noraly, what a girl? you have just sold me on my own country! Faith in hummanity, and hope in the future. Thank you. all i need now is neat, small, economical and easy riding bike.
Noraly you make it look so easy with your laughter. The dirt road are body breakers. But South Africa is so lovely. I know most of us won't ever be able to visit these places in person but you have made it for us. Thanks and God bless you.
Yes I agree too it's amazing Noraly take care, be safe.
I agree , your videos are amazing. Thank you for sharing your videos!
The Amazing Gate Tour of South Africa! HaHa! Love It. More Happy Trails!!
I always wonder how she does it, if anyone else was going around riding into private lands would be in trouble in no time... I guess it's pure charm of Noraly
I was going to post just about the same thing. 2021 South Africa Gate Tour. Featuring Noraly and Savannah.
I love the amazement on the kind face of the Afrikaans lady when it dawns on her that you have ridden alone through a landscape that makes Marco Polo’s travels look like a walk in the park. I have the same expression on my face while I watch your compulsive adventures. Bravo Blondie!
You should return to Namaqualand in flower season! Its breathtaking to see those vast open hills and "vlaktes" full of different colours from all the flowers.
Your video footage, editing, drone shots and not to forget your sense of humour is AWESOME. Well done to you and thanks so much for taking us all along with you. I jump on your videos the minute they come through 😂
Me too!
Wonderful.
And me!
After a lifetime in South Africa I thought I had seen nearly everything. You made me realize I have seen nothing of the country !!! Please sort out your visa and come back soon !!! And thank you !
Totally agree, I spent 9 years there and travelled far and wide in Southern Africa, however Noraly has taken routes I never even contemplated. Its exceptional..
I think she had seen more of our respective countries (atleast the ones she had visited) then we do.
I ,through my work travelled to many of those remote areas & i can only say, we have a remarkable country ,a beauty which we just do not appreciate until we leave its shores like i have!
I was born in South Africa. Left when I was 26. Noraly has seen more of SA than me lol. Beautiful country, wish I could do what she is doing.
@@NormanF62 pretty bold statement you make , I guess you know America then, guess not , typical keyboard expert you are!!!!

I worked in South Africa a few years ago. The people were wonderfully warm and welcoming and the scenery was magnificent. Such a joy to see it again - thanks, Noraly!
I never really understood in the beginning of your motorcycle travels, why it was that you rode alone. I understand why you do it now, completely!
Loving this South African series ❤🙏
I have loved your South African sojourn from the start, but these last few episodes traveling up from Capetown have been the most inspiringly spectacular motorcycle Vlogs ever put up on CZcams. The way you capture and present the vista is wonderful and the commentary awesome. I truly hang out for each new episode.
Opening and closing gates, while opening the minds and sense of wonder of so many of us! No special code needed. :) That was a hilariously rendered segment on the endless gates.
The drone shots of the ribbon of road through that vast wilderness area - what a sense of the sheer scale!
I'm sure the oryx was not expecting you, either - lol!
Visit Namaqualand in August/ September when it turns into an ocean of wildflowers.
I was thinking the same thing. On our last visit we had camped at Kamskroom hotel and on the costal Namaqwa land camp sites. I wish she had shared one of the coastal Namakwa camp sites. Wonder if she will go to Richtersveld National Park.
Yes I saw amazing pictures of the wildflowers here!

Amazing as usual!
Oh so loving this one, no people, no problems, perfect peacefulness .
Hey Girl.. Thankyou for these videos. We , South Africans living abroad, really enjoy seeing our beautiful country with you. Thankyou.
This trip was just simply beautiful, Noraly your music complimented the beauty of the Namaqualand landscape, I wish it could have lasted longer!
This was epic. We're all jealous! This tour of SA is so revealing,,,stay away from the big towns and you'll experience the SA of dramatic landscapes and wildlife and warm, generous people.
It is so true and I totally agree as a local.
Having the whole place to yourself for as far as you can see is an amazing feeling. I've only gotten to explore the USA western states outback. The arid S.A. episodes remind me of places i've seen in the arid outback areas of the USA. Yes gates are ok as long as I can get through. Gates are not so bad and makes you stop, look around and listen of where you are to take it all in. At the end of your Africa trek it would be cool to have a couple episodes of your learnings and experiences of logistics, people, equipment, motorcycle, terrain, etc. so other overlanding travelers to S.A learn from your experiences. What you would do different and or same in repeat adventure.
"Strong woman", describes you quite accurately.
Well done, Bootsy!❤
Thank you, these videos of my country South Africa have made me decide to go back to touring on my bike. I travelled the whole country between 1975 and 1990. The difference being I slept in a sleeping bag beside the road, ate dried food and nuts and had pliers and screw driver as tools. Now I will have access to garmin, go pro, good accommodation and restaurant meals (and a good camera).
Must be such a difference riding South Africa now compared to the ‘80s !! Enjoy!!
@@ItchyBoots It has not changed much since the mid 80's... I did most of your Cape route then and I must admit the roads have not changed much... In fact a few sections have improved... I never did the west coast and I now am green with envy... Stay safe and have fun... Clive...
@@ItchyBoots Roads the same, people the same, problems with petrol supplies in '70s, bikes much simpler (Yamaha DT250, Suzuki PE250, HondaXL500, Suzuki DR500, HondaFT500 all ancient by today's standards)

Hey Noraly, in past seasons you've traveled more than 350 Km in a day, so just wondering why you mention that 350 is a long day.
Love the gate opening/closing hoppy music and the magnificent drone shot. The Oryx was just making sure the road was clear for you. Boy, that was a large, vast, dry area you rode through. Hope your carrying a satellite phone?

Hi

The latest videos have been some of my favorites. You can really tell that Noraly has enjoyed her experiences in SA with her travels and the the people.
In a world full of cowards living in fear you are a shining light of courage and joy.
The best motorcycle adventure vlog hands down period!
I’m wishing time away just to watch the next episode! I dream of the days I can ride a big bike on some incredible adventure! Got my theory test in 3 days! Another step closer to making a dream come true! ✌🏻🏍
Good luck and let us know what bike you choose.
Good luck with your test!! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! 😋🤞
Good luck on your tests. Be careful of wanting to choose a "big bike" for your adventure touring. One reason Noraly is so successful is that she chose to ride a "small" bike. Big adventure bikes are very heavy, sit very high, drink a lot of fuel, and are very difficult to handle in off-road conditions like sand and mud. Noraly has breezed through a lot of situations, which I'm sure she would have found much more difficult or impossible on a "big bike".
@@danmoyer4650 thanks so much! This is great advice! Yes I will definitely take that onboard. I’m 5”3 (160cm) so yes big in my head is just a bit more powerful than my current 125.

I absolutely enjoyed that still drone footage of Noraly opening and closing the gate. Like being a 'fly on the wall'.😁
The flight over the gate opening was original Noraly. It was relaxing for me and concentration needed for you. What a journey!
l loved that too. Her drone must have a hover mode because the camera was very still while she attended to the gate. Brilliant shot.
Watching you ride those dirt tracks in that vast red landscape, make me think that this is how Mars will look like a hundred or so years after we terraform the planet.
Like I always say, give women an opportunity and watch them rule the world. Noraly is a great example of freedom, determination and opportunity can produce. I’m grateful, I watch with anticipation knowing quality film combined with educational overview. Can’t get any better. 🇨🇦🙏
It really struck me how diverse is the country's fauna and flora. Thank you for another excellent video!

Noraly, I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos being a life-long motorcycle rider myself and having grown up in South Africa (now in Washington, D.C.). What you are doing has always been my dream. The only difference is that for you it is a reality. I am also a video producer and think your mix of shots and storytelling is highly entertaining. My only complaint was your recent piece on Namaqualand. My mother's family lived in Kamieskroon in the 30s and 40s so I was dissapointed that you didn't even mention the world famous "Namaqualand Daisies" (around September each yeare) or show us a bit of the towns or ghost towns (e.g. Bowerdorp). I do understand that you were feeling pressure to get out of South Africa and into Namibia before your visa expired. My paternal great-grandfather lived 40 years in Mariental (until the early 50s) - no doubt you will pass it soon after entering Namibia. It's also a beautiful and mostly sparsely populated country with incredible natural vistas. Be sure to visit Swakopmund (small coastal town with German architecture where my family also lived circa 1910). Speaking of Namibia - it was just announced on the news today that Germany has decided to make some reparations for their part in the Herero and Namaqua genocide on 1904 and 1908 which murdered about 100,000 indigenous people and many were put in concentration camps. Germany will ask for forgiveness and establish a fund of more than 1 billion euros towards the colonial-era genocide. Noraly - I can't wait to watch your next episode.
One of the most scenic countries of our world. So wonderful in all it has to offer.
Noraly. You are indeed an incredible Human Being. Your Family must be very proud of you.
You could ride around your back yard for 6 months and I'd still watch it.

What an amazing video from an amazing lady. How can something that looks so desolate hold so much Beauty? The way you put your video's together, the music matching the scenery is so wonderful to share. And to feel your happiness as you explore this amazing country. What a wonderful world you have brought Noraly.
i've just been catching up on the last 2 months of episodes as i have been off on my own. The last couple of episodes i've said to myself, Noraly should put together a gate opening and closing montage..... and here we are.

Its so refreshing to hear you saying "Good morning Internet" keep it up Noraly..
Noraly I have to say that your SA footage has been exemplary beyond words! You have become a master film maker and managing to upload on the hoof just tops it all.
The gate opening/closing music is brilliant. I suppose copyright would prevent the use of the Laurel & Hardy theme tune? 😉
I hope Namibia’s tourism department knows who is about to grace their border with her presence 😍 Watch out Itchy Boots is about to boost your travel income! 👍🏍💨
The road was so bad, but you took it all in your stride, enjoying the loneliness and the beauty of the landscape. All of the best on your travels and much love and admiration! 🙏❤️🌄🌍🎀
Thank you, for taking me away on a journey that many of us can’t do now. Appreciate the frequency of uploads too; and the energy taken to do the drone shots!
What a place South Africa is! Absolutely beautiful vistas, in fact it rivals and sometimes beats the "Stans" and thyat is not what I expected. Love the drone shots, makes the epic stupendous. All Best 👍😊
Cool to see the oryx. If there is one thing I've been a little bit disappointed about this series is the dearth of wild animals. I've never been to Africa, but I imagined the open country being populated by many more animals. As it turns out, scarcely any were seen along the way. Yet, overall, the series has been truly wonderful and educational about South Africa. Thank you Noraly for taking us on this wonderful adventure, especially at this time when the pandemic still keeps most of us grounded in our local environments....
Many people imagine South Africa to be full of free wandering lions ;) that is not the case. The wildlife is in fenced off nature reserves where motorcycles are not allowed in, that’s why you don’t see them in my videos :)
It must be quite a bonus to ride into the wilderness and be so alone. The silence must be something really special.
