Jackie perfectly described growing up in/around the hood but not being raised hood. People used to accuse me of lying about where I was from. I'm like hey guy...just because I come from a two parent home and had a father that made me grab a dictionary whenever I asked what a word meant don't mean I didn't live in the hood. It was just only so much the hood could live in us before my parents weren't going...at all. We read, we go to college, and we respect our elders over here...in the ghetto or not.
I wasn't from the hood but I lived in a pretty jacked up sec 8 and low income accepting apartments and i had to parents in the house so fopks always tried act like I went to college because of that but it's like my parents argued every day and do not pay for any of my schooling I'm 1st gen. It's annoying because most of them chose to drop 0ut after 8th grade or they gradued highschool 2 yrs late because they were distracted but we all went to the same highschool shoot they use to all chase me home with rocks and they're oarents didn't work they were gov aid so they'd work under the table and make money and spend Luke crazy on holidays while we hardly could afford holidays some years and that's ok. But it's like yeah having 2 parents and class doesn't take away the struggles of life.

I was listening in my car and y’all were laughing so hard that I had to watch the CZcams later so I could watch y’all laugh together. So funny! I love the way the two of you interact with each other ❤
OMG! I thought I was kiddish for sleeping this was as a grown adult. I literally lived in a demonic filled home and I would get night terrors even as a new saved child at 13-16 the devil tormented me through dreams and even around our home. So when I got married my husband was my safe space. When he isn’t home overnights I sleep with the tv on or have my phone on with sound. It can be traumatic to always be scared at night but as I read God’s word or even have a prayer before bed that offers me some peace and limits my time on my phone/tv. God is good y’all, stay safe in this world ❤

The last story was one of my favorites in the book, when I was reading I was like "Oh nooooooo" I was like if it was me I would've looked at ole girl and said "shoot Imma a girl too, don't be looking at me" 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the story time Jackie, you kept me entertained while at work, also reminds everyone that they can come back from even their darkest pasts and be saved and have a purpose.
