11:20 to go on about Sonic's in a bit more detail, I'd like to add on the fact that Sonic has one foot in the air similar to Mario, but throwing more style into it. It shows that Sonic was supposed to be a cooler Mario back in the 90's. Everything that Mario can do, Sonic can do cooler.
You put Sonic's key art right next to Mario's, it will look as if they were meeting each other's attack head on, like they have some sort of rivalry going on. Mario with a stern look of confidence on his face and Sonic smiling, looking directly towards with a face that just screams "I got this".
It's referential, it shows history, and shows personality all in one.

That's what I thought when I first saw those renders!
Some small notes about Joker's pose:
-Despite nearly having been hit, Joker clearly isn't taking his attacker seriously as shown by his smile. This helps to show his confident and somewhat cocky nature in battle
-To further that he's being cocky, Joker has his dagger out behind him, showing that he's possibly playing with his food. If he was taking the fight seriously, he would already be counterattacking
-Joker's left hand (the empty one next to his head) looks as though it should be holding a gun due to the position of his fingers. This is furthered by the fact that in Smash, Joker fires his gun with his left hand instead of his right since he carries his dagger in his right hand

All of their renders are from attacks like link and young links poses are from when there spin attacks stop and toon links pose is when he’s doing the attack when he’s running and you press A and like Mario he’s doing his air attack and luigis doing his ground attack I could tell you all of them but it’s pretty obvious

The way it works is you have to have local files on your pc, then have your Spotify connect to that, then connect your phone to the same wi-fi - then boom. You have the songs on your phone through Spotify. It's broken.

the "posing and expresion" thing have a technical name, its called "gesture" or "gesture drawing" and is actually the most important part in modeling, drawing, sculping, etc. because it is what makes an image communicate.
Not the most important, especially without anyone to pose.
@@maxbearington7565 You are the creator of the pose. Gesture dra helps and artist determine what the pose will be. It's good for large pieces of art. I don't use it for small, personal pieces, but it's helped for hand drawn posters.

On Robin's pose - I love it!
He's closed his book, he knows his plan and the turning motion from the book to the sword shows him reading for battle. Study is over, now he fights. Finally the extended finger presents his role as a Tactician commanding allies on who to fight and where to go.

Regarding Ganondorf's renders, I actually love his renders for both Brawl and Ultimate, because I think they both look badass. They're both staring straight at you, looking like they are ready to kill you.
I do agree however that his Smash 4 render is hot trash, where he looks like he's not even paying attention.

Smash Dojo announced Sonic for Brawl on my birthday. For context, this was _the_ first third-party announcement for a Smash game. I thought it was the coolest accidental gift ever. Still do.
You notice the same things I've been noticing all these years! I used to try to explain this to people about different renders and how they looked but no one really cared. I kept it all inside and here you are able to explain it easier than making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My props to you good sir and thank you for all the hard work you do and these videos because man I love render comparisons. I'm glad someone feels the same way. Not only do you compare them, you trace it back to the history of the character. Excellent excellent work

Incineroar is my favourite pokemon, so I was super hyped when I saw his reveal trailer. I think how he looks in the game is absolutely amazing, just how I expected him to look in realistic graphics. This goes for Lucario as well.

Also Sonic's render is somewhat similar to Mario's which represent that they are both very popular video game characters
I really like Diddy's Ultimate render. The way that his right hand and foot are in such similar poses really shows how versatile he is as a monkey, using both interchangeably. He also looks like he's in some kind of energetic motion while still playing with his hat. Perfect monkey energy.
13:17 incineroar is using his hidden ability intimidate(lowers the foe's attack stat). It made him the best doubles support in pokemon sun and moon.

You know...now that you mention it if I was to judge each character from Smash Bros based on their render and assuming I've never played their games...I think I could take a good stab at what they're about. And just based on the DLC Characters:
Piranha Plant: Uses a lot of unconventional techniques, and bites A LOT
Joker: So much style, but skill to balance, and tools to help him. Also masks are mysterious, so he's hiding something...
Hero (strictly Eleven): Seems to be calculating the fight, and ready to attack or defend if he needs to.
Banjo And Kazooie: They are ready for anything and are just happy to be here!
Terry: He looks cocky in way that makes you wonder if he has the skill to back up his smug face.
