    Would love to see a new version of this with the 2023 updated version of DeScript! It's so different!

    One of the clearest explanations I have seen. Descript should hire you to do their help videos 🙂

    Thank you so much Cristi. I’m going to watch this again another couple of times so that I can get all of this great training. It’s really helped.

    Thank you so much, Cristi! This was enormously helpful in a podcast editing project I'm working on...with a master file and two backup files.

      Hello, I know it's been a while but I have recently done a video showing just that. Have you seen it? czcams.com/users/live6CeAFbvpU2Q

    Brilliant! This was so helpful. Do you have a video about adding bumpers? Or intro and outros? Plus, can you create 1080x1920 story size videos? I would repeat a background behind the composition

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  Před rokem

      Thank you!
      Bumpers can only be either built inside Descript, simple text + background rectangles, or designed externally as images and exported as transparent PNGs. Then they can be overlaid. Animation in Descript is quite basic right now, just simple monotonous, linear movement from A to B, and it's quite buggy. No easing, no fancy nothing, I'm afraid.
      As far as vertical video, sure, you can change the aspect ratio and reframe the video to be vertical. If you are still using Classic, you can watch this video: czcams.com/video/bDp3lbg4Txc/video.html

    Very helpful video. Is there a way to delete the audio from a track, but not the video?

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  Před rokem +1

      Yes, if you right-click and select 'Detach audio', Descript will separate the audio from the video onto a separate track. You can delete that if you want. Or you can just mute it without detaching.

    • @NewHockeyCoach
      @NewHockeyCoach Před rokem

      @@Graphicious Thanks! Detaching the audio seems to be the way to go, as I only want to delete a few sounds.
      If I do this, will the range tool take care of keeping the tracks lined up when I lengthen or shorten pauses?

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  Před rokem +1

      @NewHockeyCoach Yes, when you make cuts outside of the sequence, everything is kept in sync. When you cut things inside the sequence, make sure you don’t offset the tracks

    Do I have to transcribe the files separately or can I transcribe the sequence when both files have been added? Separately will use twice as much transcription time.

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  Před 2 lety +1

      No, each file is transcribed on its own, regardless of whether it is in a composition or not. And I know, you also pay for the silence time when someone is not speaking. You could combine the two files into a single one and just transcribe that, then add it to the sequence just to get the text, but muted so the sound from it doesn’t play but that’s a little quirky way to save transcription time, in my opinion.
