Honestly they really should just make a way for people to be able to play these games then there wouldn’t be a problem
And when they finally do the quality is terrible a d never cross with next gen. Now they pull this online only access too. Wii to Wii U was the only thing cross gen if I believe
Nintendo is essentially taking down fan content. I love Nintendo from the bottom of my heart, but they make it so hard to be a fan when you can't even make your own Nintendo-inspired content. This isn't even emulation, this is making a model of your favorite character in another game.
Is this why SEGA is usually more User-Friendly with Content Creators than Nintendo? Because if so, I want to be friends with JC Thornton again, so I can make some better Sonic content than just "Casual Nudity taken out of context." I want to be able to have the pleasure of seeing him give my comment a thumbs up, and even replying to it, as well as talking to me on a personal casual level.
If nintendo is anything like the company I used to work for, this really isnt their stance as a company. But they do have a legal team. And a guy on there either sits around doing nothing wondering if he has job security, or starts going around making mountains out of molehills and trying to solve "problems" that nobody is really upset about.
FINALLY someone gets it, everyone loves to blame Nintendo as a whole because of small minded thinking, It has some be some idiot with too much time and power thinking they are doing a "good thing" when they are tarnishing the company relationship with the customers.
On the other side of the coin you do have people who try to sneak and profit off their brand.
I'm sure people would point fingers at SM64.
“I’ve heard of trimming the hedges, but you done scorched the Earth.”
I'm surprised Gmod lasted this long with all the Nintendo content in it.
I pre ordered monkey ball too £32 in U.K. not seen a game that cheap since 3ds
As for Nintendo I honestly don’t blame them, Nintendos main money maker is there ip characters if someone makes a tennis game and someone makes a mod to allow them to play Mario and peach in that game it can hurt Mario tennis franchise. (For example)
No it doesn't 💀. Same mindset devs vs their way into excusing not releasing on Xbox despite 70+m consoles
@@QuestAccepter that’s your opinion but from Nintendos point of view it could do, there’s a big difference from being a gamer to being a developer, if sales are damaged in any way they could risk going under especially if the developer is a small partner like Camelot
6:10 Yes. It is like that, now that you say it like that. I’m Japanese, and I know my music.
A few years ago I interviewed a Nintendo lawyer applying for a position at another gaming company. It was very clear that nothing was off limits to go after people for using their IP.
There was story mode on the gamecube....?
are you aware of their new guidelines regarding Smash tournaments, I think it happened last year ?
I think the organizer of Smash tournaments cannot make a profit from the event, among other things.
hungrybox has a vid about this topic, which seems to imply not just Smash tournaments.
I wish they would give us Hot-Shots Golf!
I'll be buying the TTYD remake, to reward the good direction they've gone with the recent mario remakes... but I won't be spending another penny on nintendo beyond that until they course-correct on this.
I'm not even trying to be rude here. But do you honestly think that's going to affect then in any way like? What was the point of commenting this
Also Wasn't it confirmed that it wasnt Nintendo with Garry's mod
@@RainbowBowserEdits It's more of the usual self serving "I'm doing X or not spending money on X" It's the common knee jerk reaction, I'm guilty of it myself, but things like this you REALLY wish companies would actually talk to the people instead of people who have money to slither in and manipulate things into their favor.
If Sony MS and Nintendo would listen to the fans and not share holders gaming wouldn't be where it is now.
Greed is the downfall for all; money and power is the catalyst here and in the end greed may most likely be their own undoing, maybe not but I would not be surprised to see problems occur from Nintendo’s actions.
Damn... this comment section is fire
I want to remind you that you posted this when there was only one comment
@@supershoutmonx8327exactly his point 🤣🤣
Can't watch this as I'm out but I see the title....if this is about the Gary's mod thing then it isn't Nintendo its some dude saying he is from Nintendo but isn't, claiming false strikes
Terrion Arnold!!!!!
You won’t be able to pirate next generation games from Nintendo if they make the decision and bring Nintendo games to the cloud. I honestly believe the next generation of Nintendo is heading into that direction. If this happens guys, be sure to give me my flowers 💐. 🤪
That's terrifying!🥶
God, I hope Nintendo doesn't reject physical games in the future, and I hope that the next-gen Nintendo console isn't the last physical system.
That's my three fears about the next-gen Nintendo console, Denuvo/DRM crap, lack of backwards compatibility, and digital only console.
@@keeganmcfarland7507 I don’t think you have to worry about the switch 2 and it’s backwards compatibility. It will most definitely run your current switch games and play them better with higher resolution and frame rates. However physical games are already starting to disappear from store shelves. Don’t be surprised if all of Nintendo’s next generation games won’t give you the option to download them, you more than likely will only be able to stream them. With a great internet connection, rest assured that games will run at 4K and up to 120 FPS.
@@buggy946 That's terrifying!🥶
God, I hope the Japanese media doesn't reject physical media (including physical games) in the future.
i want monkey ball rpg 🥺
This actually means that the switch 2 will be backwards compatible. They're not changing anything. So now they have to do what they need to do to lock the system down as best as possible.
😂 Good luck locking something that's been completely open day one with emulation and cfw year 1. Weak hardware leads to easy overtakes. I pirate all my switch stuff
I can't believe you didn't come to Detroit for the NFL draft....
Hey, they haven’t canceled the Delta emulator yet.Take the wins when they come.
nintendo always been super proctecive of there ips this is nothing new
Oh their fortune taking it way too far
BUT IT’S NOT NINTENDO!!!! IT’S AARON, A PERSON WHO HATED SMG4 AND HAD BASICALLY DESTROYED THEIR CHANNEL!!!!
Garry mod developers confirmed it themselves
Scorched Earth was a fun game though
How is Nintendo losing a dime from user created content in other games? If anything, it keeps their games more relevant. I love Nintendo, but this is a little much.
I agree, it's helped increase their reach.
Competition does... WHAT NINTENDON'T!
Nintendo is likely seeing that consoles are dying. Everything is going to pc, Ive heard so many people say Nintendo should just be a software company (look at how well that went for Sega).
I think you can thank the a**holes that put UNRELEASED titles for download to PC for the heat. It showed Nintendo that there are a lot of people that are willing to not pay for the game they spent 7 years (14 if you include botw) and millions of dollars developing.
And with their business model being attacked and slowly coming to an end, they are trying to slow what is inevitably coming.
None of this bothers me because I pay for my games
And i dont think nintendo can end modding.... because the modders are allways modding a day or 2 and then its modded? Im not just talking nintendo... i think the harder the system is to mod more people will try? I am not one but i have had modded consoles....
Nintendo are being bullies.
This is why Nintendo makes so much money. It does make sense to protect something you have pumped billions into creating.
You say that but the damage this is causing to their reputation is going to be substantial.
Tgus started with much from Disney
Nintendo looks pathetically obsessive in this emulation area. I’m on the edge of not buying anything Nintendo going forward. Nintendo is too stingy and lazy to build out their current console. Instead they’d rather throw their money at lawsuits against fandom. They should instead just do better than emulation themselves. But alas, Nintendo just continues to prove themselves as rabid and greedy money grubbers.
Nintendo is really shooting themselves on the foot by insisting that fan created content should be removed from places such as the Steam Workshop. It's free advertisement for Nintendo when there's fan content on other platforms!! You could even argue that emulation of their old games would drive people towards Nintendo's current platforms as well.
Are you sure about that?
We don't know who's responsible for shutting down G-mod.
If it's Nintendo's fault for shutting down G-mod, then the G-mod community will go downhill.
If it's a troll that's pretending to be Nintendo, then the G-mod crew will ban that troll that's pretending to be Nintendo, and save G-mod.
Nintendo characters X Blender: Are we a joke to you?
What if Nintendo shuts down retro game stores such as vintage stock because I still buy tons of games for my old generation systems
They won't close down retro game stores. If secondhand stores are not illegal, why would retro game stores be?
@@raptros Phew 😅 it’s just that Nintendo is simply going INSANE with the overprotection of their IP to the point where It’s starting to get very worrying and I’m still pissed that we can’t have Samus in Fortnite
@raptros Have you heard of PlayAsia and Book-Off?
Nintendo is actually very lax on emulation. Think about all the stuff they know about and let go. Mother 3. Dolphin. Etc. So you can't say they are anti-game-preservation. The issue is that Yuzu is evil. Seriously. Yuzu is taking new game sales away from Nintendo. Period. That's taking away direct profits for Nintendo on their new stuff. And you know what that is? It's hardcore theft. Old games for old systems are not hardcore theft, because Nintendo has made so much money - over and over and over - and keeps milking people for these games -- and when people have purchased these games many times over, it is not robbery nor theft for those people (whomever they may be) to say "I want to play these older games my way," or say "Instead of purchasing these ancient games used, I'd like to test them on emulation first." That's not hardcore theft. But using Yuzu on a Steamdeck is hardcore theft -- and that's what was happening. And yet.... you'd think Nintendo would have hit Yuzu earlier. But they didn't! Why? Because it wasn't until videos started popping up on youtube encouraging people to not buy a Switch and just play the games on a Steamdeck that it was a direct competitor. That. Is. Theft. Period. So, Nintendo had to take a stand.
Gary Bowser was also participating in hardcore criminal enterprise.
If you don't get this, then your mind has lost certain inhibitions -- and your heart has been hardened. Take a step back, and look how lenient and lax Nintendo really has been. And then understand how downright immoral some of these people are. If you have used their services... back off from their use. You have the money to purchase the games you want. And you don't need them to be HDR. Just let it go. Enjoy legitimately purchased Nintendo products.
Regarding Gary's Mod... this was probably because Nintendo wants to create some sandbox Nintendo creation game, someday. That's all. Not wrong for Nintendo to do that.
Nintendo are on the back foot, but only through their own fault, by choosing to use old hardware that is now easy to match or surpass relatively cheaply - likely more cheaply in a couple of years. They're terrified of the likelihood of cheaper hardware emulators arriving on the scene with the potential to provide access to their entire back catalog from Switch all the way back to their starting days as an video game producer.
Let's face it, Nintendo haven't exactly had an identity this generation, other than a couple of games from their staple series, "it's portable" (which in today's day and age isn't special anymore) and "ooh look, sales figures from those games from our staple series". Outside of a handful of release titles for their next system, they're going to be once again sitting on their arses pumping out the old back catalogue. So, yes, they're shitting themselves right now and they're not entirely sure what to do about it. Hence they're taking this overly aggressive stance as a form of damage control for the time being.
Why. No comments
I’m done. It needs a change. We’re their own IP. I’m done with holding on their own ideas. Do something new this needs to change?
Or google...
I mean apple?

Nintendoh's for little kids, this just cements it.
They would tap into millions of more customers if they made an 18 plus category games that include mods and PC players.
Really hard to maintain richest company in Japan status, with little revenue trickling in due to a scarce 2024 lineup.
How is Nintendo shutting down everything affecting us owning our titles??
