In this video we re-check on Adf.ly, now rebranded to "linkervtise", adfocus and other services that end up in the middle for mod downloads. For example, the download for the "Mo Creatures" mod will have a variety of advertising in the middle, which unfortunately will often lead to dodgy downloads.

Well i guess if you never have seen it before then its understandable. Basically what it does for anyone who doesn't know its just a script that you paste into a Roblox executor and when you execute it it just gets the main exploit script from github and loads it. It just makes it easier to share since its a small line of text vs a massive script.

its unlikely it is. roblox exploiters use things called executors, which can run any lua code on their client, most executors have gotten rid of the methods to do stuff like steal cookies / passwords by running the code in a sandbox environment, but sometimes if the executors have vulnerabilities the code can escape the sandbox and steal stuff.

As much as adfly sucked, it is kinda sad seeing something disappear that was so nostalgic remembering 10 year old me downloading minecraft mods in 2011 and seeing so many adfly links lol

That hoho hub is a roblox exploit script, basically you get an executor, and you get a exploit script, and the executor injects the script into roblox, and they are using a load string so that the script basically auto updates because its coming from the github.

I dont get the point of that securify "advanced web protection" extension, well apart of stealing browsing info, like it seems to be a glorified enable/disable button for other extensions that conveniently doesnt show itself or the other securify extension

This idiot in my high school almost fell for these fake download buttons. We were using this sketchy website to download youtube videos and one of those fake "you have a virus" ads came up and I had to yell at them not to touch it. She actually believed it, I never thought that anyone could even remotely believe these things.

Isn’t the purpose of those type of browsers to be hitting ads in the background and generating revenue for someone, rather than injecting fake ads?

the first one was roblox lua scripts. (thats why it was a loadstring to execute inside a exploit.)

6:20 lmao, I miss lego game hacking. It loads the the script from whatever Github page, not sure why people make them loadstrings but im guessing its so you can quickly copy and paste them.
You usually paste the script into an 'injector' , before Roblox added a real anticheat people used executors such as Synapse X (Paid) or KRNL (Free) and you would have to join said game, inject the script executor then you could execute (mostly) client side scripts and then (rarely) server side scripts.
I think now they execute through browser, not sure how they did that but it seems incredible for lego game hacks lol.

I got a rar malware once. But it did not have any writing permissions and it didn't even run. Maybe it was supposed to do something after being unpacked? I don't know, I use Linux. I don't think windows executables do much.
