Thanks Im right in the middle of changing head gaskets on my jeep and found 3 of these loose in there oddly just on the driver side Thanks again I couldnt imagine taking the valve cover off twice a month thats insane!!!
This is awesome. I watched many videos on the popular 3.7/4.7 lash adjuster issue and this is the only one with a real solution. Thank you for this great info.
Thank you for the video. Love to watch how theses engines work. My dad side of the family were mechanics. And also loved watching them get the car to work properly.
First step, inspect the old lash ajuster, usually they have wear at the bottom, i believe the lash ajusters/lifters are at the top and they might still have clearance because the lifter bore is worn out at the bottom
i have buyed a spare pair of heads because this specific problem ... Gonna make some clips like that to fit im my 2000 gran cherokee that is trowing off its rockers Nice video by the way sr
Same problem. My moms liberty making that knock. Rocker was off. Cant get rid of that knock. New head, new lifters, springs, etc. runs fine. Still makes that knock. Piston slap, or could it still be the rocker loosing contact with the lifter ? Also, how does it grab the lifter ? It appears to just be a hole, or is it not actually connected like the one you held up at the beginning and is just a guide to keep it aligned ? My noise is exactly the same place.
I believe the lash ajuster isn't long enough I think they pound out the hole when they aren't primed up. Maybe a shim could be installed at the bottom, 😂 that's what I'm going to try next
nice,,,power to more people like you,,,i respect....

This is awesome! Thank you. I will be getting these for my 3.7 & my 4.7!
You are correct I do not want to be dealing with rocker arms falling off and breaking other stuff as it does

After a few years of dealing with them I finally found that replacing the adjusters and followers is the best thing to do.
I loved the video. You should get you a Camara holder. You saved me some money. Thank you
Thank you nicely done.
Good job,
they look like fender screw holders....
Bien bien explicado 👍
You're a cool guy boss thanks
Thank you
Do you use high mileage oil after it hits 76thousand miles. I have a 04 jeep liberty.
I would say that low oil / too thick of oil are a cause of this rocker popping off problem. I plead the 5th on how i know....

Were you able to snake the valve cover out without taking the heater core lines off?
I haven't thought to do so. I may be possible.
@@RolandCaston Chrysler should be installing those rockerlocks for free as a recall. Thanks for you post!
@@michaelbariso3192 there's no risk to anyone's safety.

Also the website was mentioned in the video.
I can't say the oil was the problem. It's just not. We're in the 21st century and synthetic oil is fine for any modern car/suv.
