its funny that in witcher you needed a mod to keep the hood down and in this game you need a mod to keep the hood up.
Remember to train with Bernard. Be sure to have repair kits for all of your gear. Even hand to hand will damage it some. Training with real weapons can wreck it. This will also level your maintenance skill very fast. It was my first skill to max out. It's also fun to slap ol' Bernard around a bit.
Game time doesn't progress while training with him so you can do it as long as you like. He can train you in all weapons, with or with out shields and unarmed combat as well. It's well worth the time, just training with him.
How? All i have is "training" option with bernard and have to pay 60g

You don't really get better. Your character does. Spend time training and your character will get more points, and will get better. But you're still exactly the same guy playing.

?
Start a training match with sir robard. Instead of playing the duel normally, just dodge every attack. That's how you train agility.
Console needs mods right now. Just for the hood. Don’t need anything else except that hood... looks so good

I remember watching this video in my first hour of my play through and thinking to myself “holy moly, this dude has like, the best gear ever, how tf will I ever be able to even attain a basic piece of mail or plate, let alone a SET! But, after playing THE CRAP out of the game for DAYS, grinding and grinding and grinding, I got the fattest stack of groshen, best sword, best bow best armor etc. and I felt invincible. Then I was (by chance) scrolling through my recommended and this pops up. It put a smile on my face because I think that this video was one of the main reasons I didn’t quit right at the start.

Cool little snippet, if you have yet to start rebuilding pribyslavitz, go to skallitz and see if the enemy bandits appear (usually fighting guards) in the ravaged market area.. these bandits are always kitted in the best gear and you’ll rarely have to even fight them, just loot all the stuff, anyways once you build a building in pribyslavitz it advances the in game clock a few days, I noticed that those bandits seem to respawn within that time frame.
So basically you build a building, save then travel to nearby skallitz, the market area I described is the tutorial area from the start so you’ll find it easily.. kill or watch the bandits die, loot as much as you can and sell it all.. that’s one loot run between building each structure and upgrades in pribyslavitz.
Take note however that these bandits are the top tier type, whilst you can fight them it’s easier to let the opposing side widdle them down.. had one or two times where the guards got slaughtered and I had 3-4 fully plated dudes swinging on me with warhammers and greatswords.
Finally as an end note you can find the “Longinus longsword” amongst these guys which is one of the more meta swords and fairly rare to find.. well done if you made it here 😂👍🏻
Yes. This encounter seems to be recent compared to the other ones. The best thing is to let the bandits kill themselves. The only time I recommend joining the battle is if the guards are about to lose.

Trample damage from horses would be nice too
Better mounted combat all around would be nice. Maybe not useful in a forest, but in a flat area, on an armored warhorse with a 10-foot war lance? You'd be unstoppable.
that would cause more problems than good... I'm afraid to start trampling over civilians in towns for riding horses...

daddyleon I’m pretty sure it’s in the game. I was once riding my horse through a ratty, and ran over a women and she died. Maybe a bug?
Once I mastered the Mace, not many enemies stand a chance. It’s a Mace life.
like, in my first playtrough, i just used the sword, but i started using the axe that is also a beast against even chainmail, and then i got a mace to slay plate armor guys

The game was done VERY WELL for the budget and time the development team, best believe this was a passion project and that the dev's probably did want all these features that everyone wants and NO GOOD DEVELOPER wants bugs, again a lot of times people blame the programmers for this but they work very hard and almost never are given a workable budget or timeframes to release things into a volatile AAA market where success of your game depends on many variables.
If you want to do sneaky shit during the night, brew those nighthawk potions. They really help.
Problem is nighthawk potions are bugged. They increase your computer's gamma and often don't set it back to normal when the potion effect is done.
They work fine for me. I'm on ps4 though.
I wish the developer would actually implement the hood on your head.
Bruh, you need to loot the spurs from the bandit leader and the ears of the lesser bandits. Gotta maximize the profits :)

If you want a realistic horse, which means its speed should not be above 40 with all the tack, Roach is one of the best with Epona.
Higher tier horses are closer to Honda 500cc GP motorbike than a horse..
Whats so speacial about Roach there is fucking Sleipnir.

Just bought the game for Xbox 1 and at first I was skeptical bc I didn’t update it but after I did the graphics was 10x better and all the bugs smoothed out too. So glad I bought this game I’ve been playing for about 3 weeks now and it actually amazes me at how good the game is
If you make pole arms equipable through modding, you get a new fighting style:
Shield + Spear.

anyone else like me and just make a massive batch of arrows coated in bane potion. shoot then with an arrow watch them no longer be able to run and a few min later fall over dead? that was my entire playthrough....good times.
If my cpu was better I would’ve gotten this game on my pc.

They need to add that...and a crosshair for the bow or at least a dot for like 25 meters
The bandits dressed in Noble's plate armor are pretty tough, took me awhile to take him out with a warfair level of 20 and longsword skill at 18 equipped with a St. George's sword and full plate armor myself. If you see one of them and you're not strong enough, just run lol.
If you use sword against armor, you're doing something wrong #TeamMace

Bailiff Mace or Ceremonial Mace, and finish them!

Exactly swords are pretty useless to good armour. Usually I preper for battle and have hammer and shiled and I cant take on multiple enemies but one time I was riding around rattay with just longdword for show not expecting danger and got ambushed by the mill by guy in armour and I head to fight with that sword until I got combo right into his eye. Its much harder with a sword against armor if not useless.
I agree on what you said. Once you get good at combat, the game is so much more fun

Yeah I love when I'm traveling through the forest in full armor and some diaper bandit with no armor comes running out of a bush, all sure of themselves. And I stab them once with stinger and they just fall down and start crying.
The immersion is real! Good gameplay.

That, my friends, is why I have a mod that makes Armour effective, and a mod that increases the number of bandits per encounter
agreed. no offense to Dave or anyone else who wishes to play this way, but like you i have a bunch of mods to make the combat WAAYY more difficult. No more one shots or insta death to opponent from a riposte.
@@dirt0133 What are you on about? combat is hard and multiple enemies pretty muc hfuck you up if you dont try hard enough. And bandits with armour shields and axes are easy for you? Only way to kill them is by doing combo hit in their visor.I kinda think you guys are playing some different game.

I really started loving this game after i finished the main quest and i think it looked so much better after i got to appreciate its design i played on an xbox one X and the textures dont look that good close up but at a distance they look really nice i thought it was ugly at first but once they patched it, i often turn it on just to walk around and admire it thank god they fixed the LODs.

yeah, in reality if a knight in medium ish armour(not full plate) would get jumped on by 6-7 peasants with rusty weapons in the forest he would most certainly die(unless he was mounted ofc)
You gotta try to move sideways to avoid people getting behind you.
It wont always work tho. You will get hit in the back.
A tip for everyone when you are this geared.
Go to the monestary at night and kill them all! Watching them run away in their cloaks is absolutely hilarious.

Proper horseback attacks would be good. Like running people down with a spear on horseback.

Does bandit hunter get added as a perk to main perks ? I got a Cuman Killer perk added to my main level perks after doing the Raiders quest line from Sir Robard says my reputation precedes me and now Cumans are 50% more likely to flee combat with me and my strikes against them are now twice as effective it is a level 12 perk , also save bandit ears only turn in the spurs to the Rattay Captain he barely gives you any groschen for the ears when you make it through Ruin and raiders quest and move to Sasau hunting bandits quest line the guy there gives you 625 groschen per bandit ear and 900 per set of spurs got 10k just from 2 camps
I fucking lost it when he killed the guy in one hit

Outside of the BUGS this game is fun. I also liked the combat was hard to start but I'm at the point I'm just traveling roads hoping some bandits show up and want to fight. Kinda a bummer being legit in combat now and not having enough difficult enemies. I hit a mid level opponent once and they either die or run. Bummer

Some armored bandits are somewhat easy others are like tanks that don’t take any damage.

Last time while fast traveling i encountered 3-4 bandits with high-lvl equipment. I said to myself, hey you just won the tournament in Rattay, I can handle them! Died in 5 sec.
I won tournament and got ambushed by single dude who just pulled rope across the rope

Turned out that it was the contestant whom I defeated and wanted to have revenge on my . Basterd even had poison on his sword.
