Just purchased a 2007 LBZ , this Channel is a great inspiration and great content on all the how toâs
Definitely a great guy too.
Got 148k on mine. Runs great. Tows like a beast
Thanks I really appreciate the kind words! Glad you went with the lbz
Got 88,900 on my 07 classic, has been a great truck
@@ronfrance4041 that is a low milage classic. What State does your truck live in?
Man o man, I wish I had a driveline shop like that in Central Florida!
I have to drive 6-7 hour for this one đ
I say the same thing about New York. Iâm most likely going to go there for my lmm
I know Mark builds a ton of the Allison units. It still blows my mind how he keeps track of all the little pieces and reassembles the trans in precisely the right order. Mad skills right there.
After you do a bunch it becomes rote and you don't even have to think it becomesd automatic no pun intended i did automatics in the early 90s as a student internship we could have trans overhauled in 1-2 hrs with the instructor mech and I its been almost 30yrs I would have a hard time now
What an awesome build, really cool to watch you guys do this together
Thanks Ricky
Always excited to see each video!!! If I only had the $$$, Iâd be headed to Wisconsin to get the trans and turbo done, but when that time comes, RDS and Kodiak are the only place Iâll go!! Thanks again for the awesome content!!
Man those pans looking awesome ! You guys killing it đȘđ»đđ»
Awesome content brother, im always wanting more at the end of every video...!!
Thanks Travis I will try to get another one posted tomorrow
Man that itch coming together!!! I would have to see it a different color , but itâs going to be epic when yâall finish
Iâm really excited to get this finished
Just got a 04 LB7. Its Red. I watch all your video's. Your a great inspiration. Will send you a picture of it on IG
Will be going to see these guys to help me set up my 06 LBZ for towing. Got over 401k on the truck and she needs some loving. Love watching all of your videos. Especially the setup on the Wifemax.
Thanks Cody I will get back to the wifeâs truck very soon
Nice, going to be a killer build!
Thanks
Keep up the great work brother
Thanks
Ya'll give me inspiration to finish my project car, i thought mine was expensive i wouldn't wanna even imagine how much you'd legitimately would have in the rebuild of a duramax
Itâs getting expensive
After this truck is done , u should do a 6.7 ram & then eventually a powerjoke I mean stroke đ ....... loved that burnout at the end !!!!!!!
Excellent
Iâm saving to go up there and get that work done as ya mentioned especially the turbo booster and machining on the engine along with the transmission upgrades.
I have a 2008 2500 Duramax and I wanna use it for Hot Shot driving.
How much would it cost to do all of the work that yâall did to that truck and how long would it take ?
I pass your name on to other Hot Shot drivers when they ask about repairs because from watching your videos Iâve been able to diagnose and do repairs even though itâs pretty tough to work on them .
My first biggest repair has been this water pump and I decided to replace both idler pulleys and the serpentine belt along with all of the hoses and I went with PPE , with Artillerymen RED for the hoses. Thanks again for the great content.
Aw man I was to think I was talking to mark on the phone the day before yesterday about coming and getting a case. I coulda ran into truck master that wouldâve been awesome đ
Did you have to do anything to the case to install the pto cover with c3 oiler system? Looking into getting an xcalliber pto cover
Hello brother! Wondering if you can help me figure out distance difference. I am replacing my allison at545 with allison 1000 off a kodiak. I have same SAE trans housing on both transmissions, the torque converter has same mounting hole pattern and such, BUT the length of 1000 is a bit different. I found info on the 545 converter sticks out 1-5/8- 1-3/4 ( distance needed for TC to reach drive plate). I wonder if you or your gurus have that info for allison 1000? Thanks a bunch! Also any input to control ali 1000 behind mechanical engine on the budget in 2020 avoiding buying expensive stand alone? Thanks again!
Seriously thinking about driving from Texas to Wisconsin when it's trans time!
Precision transmission is down there isn't it
Hey, looking at getting this done. How is the downshifting towing and not towing? Does it jerk hard like to the point of potentially losing traction if icy or is it just kindof like a normal shift kit? I see the stage 5 includes a shift kit which is cool. Please respond and let me know.
Thanks
Could you possibly do a pilar gauge install install only the LB7
Hi, New to the Alison transmission here and I haven't been able to find a lot of information about it since my 02 sierra 2500hd has the 8.1 big block. Other than the tcm the transmission is the same correct? Every builder for the Alison is for a duramax and don't list anything that i can tell for the 8.1. Not making a race truck its a daily driver and just wanting to know what is able to work in my Alison also to improve it and last longer.
HELL YEAH BROTHER!!
Thanks dude
The truck is going to be a beauty. Thatâs for sure. Awesome team work.

I picked up a stock Allison deep trans pan from my local Freightliner dealership for $60, deep Allison filter was $22, $90 out the door for both. A MA filter lock, 5 gallons of Mobil Delvac 1 ATF, and 2 trans fluid changes later and I'm good to go for 100k miles before my next fluid change.
Definitely a good investment and good job on the filter lock đ
@@TruckMaster I thought long and hard about pulling the trigger on that PPE trans pan, but decided to save money there and go with the PPE oil pan instead, get rid of that damn hump.
Ask your local Allison dealer what they use for fluid, TranSynd is what i run. Maybe its the same as Mobil Delvac...
@@jcav788 Transynd was $47/gal, Delvac 1 was $29/gal, both are Allison TES 295 approved fluids, so it was a no-brainer.
@@GrandPrix46 thanks for the info!
It seems every time I click a video, the subscriber number keeps going up by at least a thousand it seems. Hmm... I wonder why? It's so cool seeing a channel like this grow.
Thanks
@@TruckMaster Hey man thinking of doing a similar build on my truck hmu I'd really like to discuss my build with you.
awesome.
New to duramax lbz what tipe of transmission fluid is better to use i think it calls for dexron VI??
What mirrors did you put on your duramaxes?
im yalls opinion should i keep my 04 gmc duramax or get a 06 07 chevy lbz and what should my first mods be to the truck this is my first vehicle btw i plan on it lasting 8 years
Because PPE rules !!
Definitely
Iâm in Canada, can I send my Allison to these guys for a rebuild?
What trans fluid to they use? Hopefully itâs not the Delco Dex 6 junk... js
Duramaxlife
Definitely
Good job. Wish you would get an lml and make videos.
I will eventually
Just ordered a 64mm Rds turbo for my lml, if the LbZ turbo ever goes out I know where to get it from. But that thing is a tank, and hasnât failed yet, thanks for the coupon code!
Dude! Thatâs awesome man they are amazing units
Best video online/CZcams as always!!!
Does adding two extra quarts of oil with the deep pan and bigger filter lower the oil pressure?
Usually no, trans needs specific pressures to operate. Pump and valve body determine the pressure.
Oh jeez. Now homeland security is gonna meet you in Wisconsin. First silencer filters and now you say the âkinda look like mortar roundsâ? Lol. Weâre you 11C?
Older video, but how are you liking the ppe transmission? My Trans went bad on my 06 duramax and thinking between, ppe or suncoast. Any insight would be great.
Which one did you go with?
I bought into PPE. Got the oil filter and transmission filter. I installed the oil filter, the oil pressure was maxed out and blew the filter off going down the road. New transmission filter going in the garbage. Will stick with ac delco.
I thought that was a John Deere oil filter at first with the colors.
Super like ppe myself I will have to share soon..
How much for a 500 Allison build?
Iâve seen more than 2 people I knew personally kill those PPE transmission âstage 5â kits. Fluid dynamics proves time and time again that a deep pan only slows the fluid from getting hot over a shorter time span. Over time, it will still reach roughly the same temperature. If you want cooler fluid temps, upgrade your transmission cooler. Good luck.
built Ryans trans in his 2003 in 2011 with a stage 5.just over 100k miles on it. 4 seasons of truck pulling and abuse. makes just short of 800hp and cant kill the trans. maybe the ones you know of didn`t check all there clearances correctly. just a thought.
kodiak truck not really sure if the builder did it correctly, he wasnât notorious for building great transmissions. Iâll keep his name out of it since heâs in a unique geographical location that would immediately give his identity away. Letâs just say itâs one of the lesser known states with no real âgoodâ Allison builders.
there are some that slap these together with out checking clearances. That`s very critical. Most cases its not the kits fault. The stage 6 kit is alto g3 the best stuff out there.
I have a 3500 Durmax. I wish i could just recreate it like this, She's an 03 and only has 140k miles on it, But for some reason the check engine light keeps comin back on, and it then it will run smooth then the engine will have a lot of hesitation when i give it some gas, then the check engine light comes back on. Probably will end up selling it i if i can't solve it. I love my truckđ
I bet itâs electrical like a loose harness
Borrow a proper scan tool, or take it to a shop that will print out the scan data.
A knowledgeable person needs to interpret the data, that will give you direction and greatly narrow the issues.
Dont guess at the problem, find the data and go from there.
Stay gold.
Careful with those oil filters... you might get another knock on your door
Rumor is GM put that "hump" in the engine oil pan to prevent the sump from sucking air during accelerations, sharp cornering and/or steep inclines. Have you or anyone you know that replaced it with a flat bottom pan had any trouble with sucking air in these conditions?
Been waiting a couple months to get my trans done cause there having a hard time getting alto clutches maybe they'll offer ppe instead
Definitely reach out to them
Ive been talking to ryan and mark maybe it could be an option if i give them a call about it
Whatâs that cost to have done you probably got it free but Iâm sure they told you a price lol
When is your next video
Probably tomorrow
What have you heard about the valve body/tcm swap to make the 5 speed Allison into a 6 speed?
We will explain that in the next video
Awesome. Thinking about the upgrade myself.
Itâs not worth the time or the money.
How come no billet internals just curious
you don`t need billet until you reach 800hp. which means a built motor. this setup were only looking for no more than 600hp.waist of money to put billet in for this project.
I guess man just seemed like wile your in there might as well do it just my opinion
@@seantokash8579 that would have added 2500-3000 to the price. not cost effective for this build.
Josh you told us in the beginning of the Victory Duramax that it would look new again. You lied! Its going to look way beyond new and run better than it ever has. Matter of fact the Victory Duramax is going to be better than it come out of the factory! Better watch out . Your wife might take the Victory Duramax if you don't hurry up and finish the Wifemax!
The deep transmission pan is a proven myth dont waste $. The best transmission cooler for these trucks is Mishimoto. This channel usually adding stuff to these Duramax trucks that are not needed SMH.
The world is turning to shit! Who cares about your truck??
Why are you watching đ
I didn't!
I donât understand, it says Truck Master, as a Master Diesel Tech myself why the hell do you have other people working on your truck kinda seems like a fake channel if you ask me
