Sounds like the UK needs to take a leaf from our Race Start Times here in Oz, absolutely love waking up at 3am to eat before a 6am Marathon 😂! (Parkrun also starts at 7am in some areas, separating the brave from the damn right fearless!)
Did it s few years ago, horrendous day. Cold and wet but ran well and came 121st.

Do they have KM markers or just mile markers, as my watch isnt very reliable when it comes to tracking distance
I can’t actually remember, whichever it is if you’re worried about GPS, just lap your watch at each checkpoint for a more accurate split!

Gonna be sipping maurten drink mix all morning, and then 1 caffiene maurten gel at 25-30mins in to give me that caffiene kick towards the end!

That's really silly that they start an HM at 11, especially with that heat. My last HM race started at 7 am and it was on winter, so definately a lot more ideal conditions for running.

No mate that was the forecast in newcastle when I looked, albeit that was a few days ago now!
