Well done on your race, Cole. Incredible running in really tough conditions.
I struggled badly with the heat and my race turned into a battle of survival to the end which wasn't very pleasant but still crossed the line. The storm and floods at the end made it an even more unforgettable day for everyone.

Great effort Cole in less than optimum conditions and on a course which is not ideal for fast times. I didn't realise the Great North Run was such a hilly race. Was thinking of you on Sunday as I started my SLR around the time your race started. The heat was brutal in London as it was all last week. Currently following your 5K 8 week training plan and very glad last week was week 4 where there was a drop in the volume and intensity.

I so got the soar rainbow vest, but couldn't stretch to the extra £150 for the marathon shorts. Yep from the soar vest, on two rather hot and humid runs so it was soaked by the end of the run. I'm going to be wearing it for the night half marathon in Thessaloniki next month so I think I will have to cover me nips underneath it as no way I'm using anything that might stain my prize vest😂@@ColeRunning
