Ferrari did something like this. Deadmau5 got a poptart cat wrap and got sued by the Ferrari company even though he bought the car and it belonged to him. Ferrari can sue you if you use your car with "malicious intent", but nothing about a poptart cat is malicious. Who buys a car worth most peoples entire savings and doesn't even get to own it and do with their property as they please. No take backsies, you got the money now it's my car. This is why I'd never buy a Ferrari even if I was magically rich, and why I'm adding tesla to that list of "companies that sell you the idea/picture of the car, but not the actual car".

Ferrari is shit, not just 'malicious intent', you can't even paint it any color that's not available from factory I think, they won't even let you buy some models unless you already spent hundreds of thousands on owning other models 💩 also when that happened to deadmau5 he sold it and bought I think a lambo instead 🤣

Correct. Your NAME itself is property of the state. If the things you presumably own are Registered in the NAME that appears on your State Berth Certificate, it belongs to the State. You do not own the copyright to the NAME. So as a usufruct, you are merely the ‘keeper’.

      I’ve never seen that.
The Z06 corvette they just released had a similar clause. They sold out about a year prior, had a “no flipping the car” rule in the contract, and if you did Chevy pretty much all but said they’d blacklist you from ever preordering another car.
My local dealership was taking $100k down payments to reserve a car (which was deducted from the total obviously) but most of those dealerships ended up cancelling the reservations for the people paying MSRP only to resell the reserved vehicles for ludicrous markups. Glad I didn’t do it, and honestly I’ll never buy another GM vehicle for as long as I live.
EDIT: should mention many big named car CZcamsrs had the same issue and did videos over it. Chevy reversed their stance on the ones with big channels but Joe Everyman still got shafted.

Was shopping for a car in 2020. Ended up buying one thru Costco car program for few thousand less than MSRP, it was a small dealer 3 hour drive from my city. ALL dealers in my area had “market adjustment” added to the sticker price. Now the prices came down and they started to offer incentives again but I’ll never go back to them

IIRC, it was described like this. There are absurdly rich ppl who will pay WAY over market to have the latest toy and have it before their friends. They don't care if they lose a 100k deposit on the pre-order, the vehicle is probably going to end up in the Saudi super-car graveyard. The problem for manufacturers is the vehicles are usually incredibly bespoke and take months to build by hand. Something as small as paint color can make a car unsellable as is and cost tens of thousands to repaint. Like I said, just what i heard somewhere, can't remember where.

    Moral of the story,
Just buy a normal pickup truck.
Most manufacturers now make hybrid models if emissions are your issue.

This literally sounds like the GameShark/Emulator precedent, where courts ruled that people could do what they want with product they bought/own..

When the bed on your "truck" is so small, you can't fit a bicycle in it.
For perspective: My 2007 Ford Ranger with the NA I4 RWD base trim can fit and haul over ten bicycles with no issue.

It is about the same amount of space as my old Honda Accord. Belive it or not but I already spotted one of these wheeled polygons on the road. Not too surprising since I am in an area with a lot of Teslas.

Most truck buyers nowadays don’t even use their truck to haul and carry so it doesn’t matter.

@ganymedehedgehog371 It does because it's a truck. If you're not designing a TRUCK to be a TRUCK with all the amenities, a person who would use it for that purpose, you know.... A TRUCK, then it's not a damn truck. People buying trucks because they need to compensate is a whole different issue. It's the Cyber Ute, not the CyberTruck, and that's being nice.

I woukd say that is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Especially seein as how u can fit heaps more into it than a ute, not to mention the power sockets on the side of the bed of the truck to use all ur power tools it the. Plus it's nearly unbreakable n hard to dent. Lol.

Having watched countless videos on the Ford Lightning and cyber truck, I think the Lightning would make a far better work truck. But I would never buy a 1st gen version of either truck.

Pretty sure that will not be legally enforceable. They can choose to ban you as a customer and never sell to you again, but I don't think they can enforce this, which is probably why they've already removed the clause.
