Oxhorn your the best man love your content
Oxhorn the Classic Sweetroll is a reference to Skyrim.
Zach Kryczkowski ye
Wen did fallout became a place to eat, i was thinking that people can live on stim-pack and vodka whit out eat in the fallout universe.
Oxhorn the sweet roll is a reference to skyrim. From what I can tell it's the theme song of skyrim just broken up into a small part each time you pick it up. Also nice video.
The Sweetroll is a Bethesda in-joke. Sweetrolls are a staple of the _Elder Scrolls_ games, especially _Skyrim._ The chanting you hear is part of the _Skyrim_ main theme, "Dragonborn." If you recall, there's even one in _Fallout 3;_ Old Lady Palmer gives you a Sweetroll for your 10th birthday. It's become something of a meme, since one of the guards' idle dialogue lines in _Skyrim_ is about how you're so weak, "Aw, did someone steal your Sweetroll?"
Connor Tyler I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee
VynalDerp I used to be a guard like you, until I got slapped in the face for using that joke too much.
Connor Tyler The chanting is also heard the moment you begin a new game in Skyrim.
Connor Tyler listening to how clueless oxhorn is on Skyrim is so funny 😂
Huh How Is It That It That Im Weak I Literrally Heard That Line In Skyrim WITH EBONY MOTHERF#CKING ARMOR
Dump a ton of those sweetrolls somewhere and pick them up quickly one at a time. The sounds are actually in order, not randomized. It plays Skyrim's theme, a gutteral chanting in the dragon language.

The sweet roll thing is a reference to skyrim. The main menu, leveling up, and unlocks usually make that sound. Thank you so much for pausing to recognize that reference, Ox. It’s fantastic, great video.
Plus, one of the dozen or so lines Skyrim guards will say to you is, "what's wrong? Did someone steal your sweetroll?" (And you pass by guards often enough that you will hear each of their lines tons of times...)
I love how sweetrolls were an Elder Scrolls reference in Fallout 3 to then be a Fallout reference in Skyrim and is now back to being Elder Scrolls reference in Fallout again. XD
Ahh, of course you are correct Pybro, my mistake. It's been a few years since I played Skyrim.
Fimmion would like to talk to you about trading his pants for a Sweetroll.
Phil Skinner It’s also the opening for the song Dovahkiin
"Lets go get this guy, we could probably all take him!" "Yeah, he's just lugging around that huge bag of donuts and hot drinks!" "GET HIM!" "Wait, is he, eating them?" "what's that gonna d- OH GOD"

@@dragonbornexpress5650 and then they all die, the end
I like to think of the Slocum's Joe "franchise" in the Comminwealth as a front for the Railroad, probably an idea of Deacon and/or Tinker Tom during the Switchboard days. Gotta remember, for all their slick spy moves they're a bunch of weirdos, this is totally something they'd think of. Maaaaaaaybe without telling Des or Carrington. lol
@Ryan Yarnevich true, but he kinda does sound believable. Find a a franchise kit and be like Hey guys!! I just had a great idea!! Sorta sounds like deacon and they were underneath a slocum's Joe right?
Hey Ox. You can get Brahmin milk from someone you assign to the counter.
You can also randomly find it in containers, but very rarely.
Trashcan Carla occasionally has some, amd I mean *very* occasionally. In about 4 months of game time I managed to buy 6 of them from her.
Im general, Brahmin milk is about as common on merchants as mini nukes.
Y'all gotta up your luck, I find them in fridges in Diners and my bar sells me 2 to 4 every other day
Perfect build idea, postman uniform and hat .44 or 10mm pistol, security baton. You can only survive on coffee and donuts
I LOVE THIS
fudegemuppet get on this
You could use the vault 81 security armor
Theres a mod that adds police officer uniforms that would work nicely with that idea
Might give it a go
'Donut Build' sounds so ridiculous. Delicious, but ridiculous. XD I love it!
jnretter I wish I was a donut build.
I'm gonna make that after my stealth build
Or it could aslo be called the homer Simpson build.
"And that you wear uugg boots" didnt expect that one from ox XD
yeah, I have no idea what that means.🤔
YOURE KILLING ME OXHORN 😆😆 The classic sweetroll was a skyrim reference, A SKYRIM REFERENCE!!!! Hence the "barbarian grunt", the melee bonus and AP bonus. I was shouting at you and fangirling over the referencing the whole time you talked about it 😂😂 I'm just teasing, I love your videos, no matter how clueless you can be sometimes! 😂💕
“Then there’s the Pumpkin Spice Donuts. It requires 1 donut mix, 1 gourd, 1 purified water, and that you wear Ug Boots.” HAHAHA
it is funny but what is that reference to ?? :O

Oxhorn, have you NEVER played Skyrim before?
The sweetrole sound effect is part of skyrim's main theme.

Still my favorite Creation Club pack to this day, first thing I do every playthrough is build a full size Slocum's Joe in Sanctuary and stick Mama Murphy in a store uniform working the counter.
LOL i'm totally doing that. Too bad these don't work in VR? Or do they?
That’s a bad idea because she might add a little bit of jet to the donut mix lol 😂
@@Steel-101lol
I did something like that but for Jun Long and Mercy Long
My first play through I sat her in a random chair to which she refused to ever get up from, really fucked up me trying to build around the workshop in sanctuary for that playthrough. So I never deal with or interact with her in a playthrough. This is the perfect thing for her. Especially since I want my current sanctuary to be a retirement community. It’d be funny to make the old farts work.
"There's the PUMPKIN SPICE Donut. It requires 1 Donut Mix, 1 Gourd, 1 Purified Water (and that you wear Ugg Boots)".... thanks for making me spit my bottled water everywhere.

Woo whoo! A reference to Skyrim sweet roles!!! 😂 it’s funny seeing a fallout fan trying to make sense of a Skyrim reference
Edit: wow how does that coffee work? It is spill proof that is so cool!
And finally I almost laughed to death when Oxhorn said is the sweetroll a Grognak the barbarian reference was it his favorite donut?🤣🤣🤣
You know, going through all the types of donuts and coffee you can make, I'm reminded of that one scene in front of the bar in From Dusk Til Dawn... "We got dry donuts, we got frosted donuts, we got stinky donuts... "
that was a good joke about the boots and the sweetroll from skyrim
That what I was thinking
bea lazy streamer wass. I was going to point that out
Oxhorn the grunting sound you're hearing is the very beginning of the song for The Elder Scrolls Skyrim called Song of the Dragonborn. They had 30 people chant in the language they created called Dovahzul. They layered it over three times so it sounds like 90 people singing in the language they made. It is a very wonderful reference to their best selling and most modded game franchise besides the Fallout Series. The reason it happens is because the "Classic Sweetroll" Is literally the sweetroll from skyrim just ported over to Fallout 4.
Also worth noting Sweetrolls have been a bethesda joke ever since TES Arena but THIS sweetroll is based entirely on the Skyrim one.
Having local leader and cap collection perks at rank 2 and makes resturant + Slocum's Joe Shop = slocum's joe pub and cafe
I love how at 18:29 it's the middle of the night and the survivor is just in a donut shop they built, creating, tossing around, and then closely examining diffeent types of coffee.
Yes the classic sweetroll is a Skyrim reference...it happens ro be identical in appearance to the ones in skyrim and makes sounds that are parts of the main theme song for Skyrim.
The classic sweet roll sound was definitely a skyrim reference
Yes Skyrim all the way.
technecly it begins at fallout 3,gets referenced by skyrim guards with the line"let me guess, someone stole your sweet roll" and then the texture is used in 4
I wonder if you had a whole bunch of them, dropped them all, then picked them all up, how much of the theme song would play?
It's been included as a joke from as far back as Morrowind.
no shit sherlock
Settler : yeah I got what you need you got the caps?
Me : give me all your Boston cream donuts! (Has a vault full of caps)
Settler : WE NEED BOSTON CREAMS DONUTS NOW!
Imagine making a comic
Same Ox...just craving those Donuts...I might actually get one now!
The Classic Sweetroll is definitely a Skyrim reference. It looks identical to the Sweetroll from that game (of which guards often ask if someone stole your sweetroll which is itself a reference to Fallout 3) and the sounds you are hearing when picking it up sound very much like you are getting the notes of the theme of the Dragonborn. I suspect if you made a lot of them and picked them up in sequence you could effectively play the theme song.
Sweetrolls were a hilarious thing in TES:IV Shivering Isles, and the joke carried over to Skyrim
Raven Bloodbane it's been around since daggerfall :) when you created your character you could answer a bunch of questions and it would tailor a character around your answers. Sweet rolls were involved in, how you would deal with a bully trying to steal your sweetroll. It was similarly referenced in Morrowind character creation and was later added to the game via modding community who were obsessed with it being referenced but not in game lol. Bethesda has since made it an inside joke that still hasn't died. Such a long standing joke carried over through the games is just another reason why we love our Elder Scrolls and Fallout so much :D
Colleen Baird It was also in FO3
Colleen it started in TES Arena, it was in the office as a joke all the way back since there was one sweet roll to rule them all and so it was used as the ultimate question for your class and then was used in Daggerfall and Morrowind as skill level starter questions.
I know I’m late to the party but I’ve been playing fallout 4 again and the donut shop is by far my favorite creation club. I role play as the ceo of slocums Joe and I’ve built many shops all across the commonwealth. Some places aren’t fitting for a donut shop so I normally turn them into farms/ranches and pretend they supply my shops with milk, grain, and fruits. Tarberries and mutfruit are imagined to be used for the donut filling. I even build factories to be manufacturing/distribution facilities. Vault 88 is my hq.
I got the arcade pack free, and like you said, I love me some versatile build pieces. My wasteland "ritzy" buildings have carpet now. I would've loved to get that donut pack for the same reason.
Also, regarding the weapon paints; the closest folk get to "painting" their guns is a process called "cerakoting," that people mostly use to just accent parts of the weapon. Some people have examples of lavish designs and color combinations that has resulted in the back-handed complement of "Gucci-Guns."
14:55 It's a reference to Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. The sweet roll model we get in this creation club pack is the same as the one found in Skyrim. As for the noise it's meant to be Nordic battle chanting.
The chant on the sweet roll is a Skyrim reference. The sweet roll is a running joke in the Elder Scrolls that has appeared in at least Oblivion and Skyrim. The chant is what the player hears when leveling and finding a word wall to gain a shout.
Will settlers use the arcade machines? MxR claimed they don't, but that feature was already in the Vault-tec DLC for the slot machine so it would be strange if it was left out of this. It would also seriously hurt the value of the arcade workshop as settlement DLC if nobody even uses it.
i repurposed a building in sanctuary into a thicc arcade. the settlers don't give a fat shit about it.
the slocum's joe tho...
Thank you for reviewing the creation Club content. This was very helpful, as there was no way I was going to spend money on the coffee shop pack. But then I saw those plain brick walls that come with it and I think those are awesome. And since there's nothing like that in the regular game or DLC to me it was worth it. Back the first thing I did was go build my character a brick house and sanctuary.
"Let me guess. Someone stole your sweetroll." -Skyrim Guard
That “chant” sound effect sounds like a sped up version of the sound effect you get when you level up in Skyrim. The classic sweet roll of course being a reference to Skyrim as well.
26:46
"Next is the pumpkin spice donut it requires 1 purified water, 1 gourd, 1 donut mix and that you wear ugg boots"
Me: *WHEEZE*
"It requires you to wear ugg boots" lmao that was flawless delivery
I don't have the Slocum's Joe mod, but I have a theory. Since there are useless milk bottles everywhere, maybe you can use them on Brahmin for harvesting their milk.
TapeSplicer
I wonder if you can milk a Brahmin by crouching next to it with an empty milk bottle in your inventory.
luvondarox That's exactly what I was thinking. The same mechanic used for water sources in survival mode being applied to a brahmin.
Hi Oxhorn, I've found Brahmin Milk in random rubbish bins, crates, in general loot drops. Still quite rare drops though unfortunately, as like you, I thought that we'd may be able to milk a Brahmin for the milk! The Slocum Joe merchant will also sell the milk.
Also, I've just found another Slocum Joe's loot spot. If you stand at Faneuil Hall, head north/slightly north-east along the road until you see a blue skyscraper with a yellow-orange bus sticking out of it. Go into the building via the bus door, and there is another cafe inside with Slocum Joe's crates and goodies (just beware if you've not cleared the outside of Faneuil Hall, as there is a Suicider Supermutant running about.
Loving this CC mod, though!
TheWellReadLady thanks I was wondering about if I'll find any more milk
Thanks
You can buy it from the bar at your settlement.

Thank you Oxhorn , this is why I'm greatly interested in Creation Club Donut Shop = thanks for a detailed description of it.
I love having settlements in re-purposed prewar buildings like the red rocket so the slokums joe one will be a lot of fun for me
You are correct on your assumption that the sweetroll is a reference to Skyrim. The chanting you hear is a particular note in the song "Song of The Dragonborn", Skyrim's main theme.
I got a great laugh out of this one!
for all its worth god one bethesda.
still keeping an eye on you tho... -.-
This now means you can legit make Homer Simpson and make him eat nothing but Donuts as his consumables
I just got the Slocum’s Joe, arcade cabinets, and nuka cola work shop pack and I’m so excited
Finally a use for all the pink paste item from the school area as decoration frosting packages in the donut shop at my settlement
NightFuryAmdrag good idea! Truly..
You had me at "brick wall."
The Sweetroll is a staple for many of Bethesda's games, and could be considered a running gag. The joke itself originated in The Elder Scrolls: Arena where, at the beginning of the game, one of the class-determining questions is
"While in town the baker gives you a sweetroll. Delighted you take it into an alleyway to enjoy, only to be intercepted by a gang of three kids your age. The leader demands the sweetroll, or else he and his friends will beat you and take it."
Old joke is old.
Awesome review! I will definitely be downloading these. Thanks!
There's also a delivery crate and crafting stations in the cafeteria area of the Mass Bay Medical Center.
As for Brahmin Milk, you'll find it randomly in containers like trash cans and dryers, just like the donut mix.
The sweet roll is definitely a Skyrim reference. "Let me guess...someone stole your sweet roll" is something the guards are always saying, and the sound is the chanting from the opening or when you approach a wall with a word in the dragon tongue.
Just make sure no one steals your sweet role, the diamond city guards will mock you for it.And yes definitely was the Shout wall chant. Wonder what would happen if you placed a whole bunch of them out. Would you get the entire Skyrim intro chant going on?
I may be wrong, but I believe the "Someone stole your sweet roll" line is a reference to a quest from the shivering isles in which one person is looking for their stolen sweet roll.
This creation was actually very nice, and the consumables you can craft in it make survival very very fun.
In the Elder Scrolls town guards often say to you "let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll" and that was the skgrim chant 1 note at a time.
If I had to make a guess, I imagine the large "shining light" in the Railroad design is a reference to the light shining in the darkness... a glowing beacon of safety and comfort for synths fleeing from the Institute.
It's the Skyrim sweet roll so it maks the skyrim chanting sound from the title screen. Of course, the sweet roll in skyrim was a direct reference to FO3, so, going full circle here.
rakiest i thought it was the other way around, sweetrolls were in oblivion aswell if im not mistaken
Worked for 15 bucks the other day and got the arcade and slocums joe. They are really fun. It’s awesome playing the holotape games on the cabinets.
My town just recently built an arcade just last year and the floors are just about the same. The unique thing about our arcade is that its build from an old bar.
Ox, the sweetroll is a Skyrim reference. Sweet rolls are one of the only pastries in the vanilla game. The sound it makes is a 1 sec soundbite of the Skyrim theme. A quote from most guards in the game is, "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?"
That ugg boot line was amazing xD
Slocum Joe's dlc was my favorite creation club thing so far. It's a blast
The sweet roll part made me really happy for some reason
The grunt on the classic sweetroll sounds like the chanting in the main theme song for skyrim when you are sitting in the main menu before they begin the actual singing.
On the plus side I believe I may have found the first CC item I'd consider buying. Thanks for sharing.
That's exactly what I was thinking too
Lol the sweetroll sound is a Skyrim sound when you level up or learn a new shout. Sweetrolls are also found in Skyrim and look like that. Guards are also known to say "What's the matter, someone stole your sweetroll?" Its a joke/reference to that Oxhorn.
I love adding paints to the equipment for my settlers as well. I get so much xp from creation, I get to level 100 before I see Garvey everytime.
Thank you Oxhorn, if you didn’t make this video I probably wouldn’t have bought this coffee and donuts creation. This really helped me make up my mind, Really good video Thank You.
The Sweet roll sound is from the intro song from Skyrim. It's the male chanting from the intro screen.
Its incredible they had it sung by 30 people 3 times, so that they had it mixed as 90 voices on the final track.
The sweet roll sound effect is from Skyrim Ox
I like checking in each week and seeing what's free!
I know I am late, but as a huge Skyrim and Fallout fan, I can say that the chanting sound when picking up the Classic Sweetrole is infact a Skyrim refrence. The chant can be heard in the loading screens of Skyrim. It is also the same type of Sweetrole, same texture and design.
people definitely customize their guns in the real world. my cousin runs a shop for it. engraving, decals, painting, bunch of stuff.
viziroth that’s awesome
The sweetroll is a skyrim joke/meme. The guards will often say "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?" in a mocking sad voice. It turned into a meme and was pretty popular for some time.
Thank you! Since I just got the bundle but lazy me didn't try to work out how to use them. 😂
the classic sweetroll is the one you’ll find in skyrim and the noise it’s making is the skyrim theme
"Let me guess... Someone stole your sweetroll" ~ Skyrim
The sweet roll reference is originally from TES III: Morrowind. At the start of the game, you can go through hypothetical situations to choose your class, one of them is a "gang of three other kids your age" who want to steal your sweet roll, which they added into Fallout 3 as a scenario, then carried the joke over into Skyrim.
*FUS*
*RO*
*DAH!!*
Plus the model used here is extremely similar to the one in skyrim. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same model that Beth didn't stop from being released.
It’s neat to hear that the reference is older than I would have guessed. Of course, the sweet roll in this creation is clearly the sweet roll from Skyrim.
26:50 pumpkin spice donut "and that you require Ugg boots" LOL great one Ox!
Just got around to watching this one, thought I did but umm guess not, but I just loved your excitement and enthusiasm and yes I know what you mean, spent many weekends and my parents money in video games. :) You sounded like a kid in a candy shop with this one. :) Stay true to yourself and keep up the great work that you do. Many thanks from SC.
@Oxhorn ,shout you hear is Skyrim reference to your character - the Dragonborn who uses SHOUTS , shout you hear is from Skyrims main theme .
Vimorain it's also the sound you hear when you level up/take a perk in Skyrim
The Slocum's Joe one was on par with what I was hoping the Creation club would be. I'm hoping it does well enough for future content of this type.
I love this CC release. Super fun and creative plus survival benefits. Who doesn't love donuts???
In regards to your gripe about the MM skin on the middle launcher. They have a fascination with pre war America historical sites. Example being Preston's fascination with the memorial and bridge, them taking the nomenclature minutemen etc.... you may want to see them in your way, and they may not want to re-make pre war America in the state right before the bombs fell. But they have a vested interest in the historical past
In Skyrim, the guards will often interact with you by saying "Lemme guess: someone stile your sweet role." The classic sweet roll in this pack is based of the design of the sweetroll from Skyrim. Hence, the chanting sounds featured from Skyrim.
the classic sweetroll is a skyrim reference. The guards used to say "let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll" which ironically was a reference to fallout 3. IT ALL COMES TOGETHER.
I usualy make settlements to have different themes. I recently started to make a Gunners settlement in far harbour where i dressed them up in heavy combat armour painted with the gunners skin. As weapon i gave them the plain Handmade rifle from nuka world to give them a more "strickt" loadout
THE SWEETROLL MAKES THAT SOUND BECAUSE THATS ONE OF THE FEW FOODS IN SKYRIM THATS COMMEN, AND ITS THE SAME TEXTURE AS IN SKYRIM
Let me guess, somebody stole your sweetroll. (The classic sweetroll is a Skyrim reference. Start up the game and listen to the music on the menu screen and you'll get it.)
5 second rule on point

😂😂😂
Sweetrolls are a long standing icon of the Elder Scroll series. When you choose to select a class by answering questions there's a sweetroll related one every time. It basically became a meme. The sounds you hear when you pick one up are from the Skyrim menu music and sound effects.
the sweetroll is a skyrim reference and the chanting is part of the skyrim theme tune and I'm willing to bet that if you line up loads of sweetrolls and pick them up it will play the entire song
Im pretty sure its a skyrim refrence. BTW, The sweet roll "dont steal me" is a joke from Fallout 3 when butch steals your sweetroll.
Anony Mous it could also be another skyrim reference because the guards ask you if some one stole your sweetroll
Anony Mous Gary?
@Red Picture Aha, you do have a point. I haven't played skyrim for awhile. @Math Dessin Haha, Gary!
Take a shot every time oxhorn says slocums joe
The sweet roll pick up noise might be a reference to Fallout 3 when your at the birthday party you get a sweet roll as a gift and also a Grognak The Barbarian as a gift as well.
