The Celtics Have a Jayson Tatum PROBLEM...

  • The NBA Playoffs continued on Thursday with Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers in game two and the Oklahoma City Thunder facing off against the Dallas Mavericks again. Due to a dominant performance from Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers, the Celtics fell in a blowout loss with the series going back to Cleveland tied 1-1. Everybody on Boston struggled, but Jayson Tatum's play continues to be a concern with him having his worst playoff run he's maybe ever had so far. The Celtics have been okay due to their overall great talent, but as the Playoffs progress, he has to be much better or the Celtics are in trouble. Especially if they make the Finals and face any of the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, or Dallas Mavericks. Despite great play from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder fell to Luka Doncic and the insane shooting from the Mavericks which could be a problem. Let's talk about it.

I am telling you, if the Celtics ever win a championship with him as their coach, its going to be in spite of him hurting the team with his bad philosophies. I dont think he's playing great, but ive said it before and will say it until hes fired, Mazzulla isnt the answer. Its on the players to play well, but its on the coach to bring that out of them unless you have someone like Kobe, which Tatum is not. He is not soft or inconsistent either when he has an ideal coach like he had in Udoka. The identity between this team and that team is night and day.
Joe Mazzulla's team philosophies regress Tatum into a 3 point shot chucking ball stopper ALL THE TIME. Tatum isn't soft, but hes not a killer like Kobe or something, he needs a good mentor to bring that out of him and Mazzulla just isnt it. Mazzulla needs to go. He is not a good fit for this team. I dont even think he is doomed to be a bad coach, but he isnt a good coach right now. Not everybody is Brad Stevens (who can come in at 36 or whatever) and turn the team around, and even then, he was inheriting a rebuilding team. There was room for growth and mistakes. Extending Mazzulla has essentially thrown this era in the trash until he improves or we move on. He needs room to grow and make mistakes, but this is a championship contending team... It is unacceptable to me that he is in the position he's in right now to be completely honest. This is going to be the most costly mistake they made, if they win a chip under Joe, it is going to be in spite of him being awful, just like Doc Rivers

Finally. I know he didn't compare PG to Tatum but that's what I've been saying even before, if Boston is just a mid tier team, tatum is PG he can score and a decent defender but that's just about it.

He will find a way to make himself in a situation where his backs are up against the wall then he starts playing well. Probably game 4 or 5. That is his pattern since he became the 1st option.

Only fools pray for the downfall of the team that beat their team. If the team that beats you wins the chip that means you could be the second best team in the league or maybe even the best who got some bad luck.
If the team that beats you gets skunked by the next team and that team bounces in the finals that means at best youre the 5th best in the league but more likely 10-7 which is a huge gap.
    Something to think about.

I'm slowly becoming a Tatum doubter, the fact he's being extremely blazae in these play offs thinking that since the Celtics have the best record thinks it means an automatic champion. Props to Jaylen Brown, Derrek White & Payton for sure as they seem to bring the energy, sure Jaylen has been playing below par but at least his energy is a lot higher than Tatums and he's at least trying to get to his spots, Tatum on the other hand just settles especially when the Celtics are trailing.

Why do people think bostons roster is so good. As a cavs fan w/o porzingis we should win in 5 or 6 white pritchard houser holiday horford dont scare me at all. Levert Garland Okoro Strauss Mobley is 10 times better to me i dont see how you can disagree. The cavs used 22 different starting lineups AND STILL WON 48 GAMES.
BOSTON JUST SHOOTS 3'S AND GET PHANTOM CALLS FROM THE REFS TATUM AND BROWN ARE JUST DECENT ISOLATION PLAYERS THAT CAN HIT A FEW TOUGH SHOTS OTHER THAN THAT BOSTON MIGHT HAVE THE WORSE SUPPORTING CAST OF ALL THE PLAYOFF TEAMS STILL PLAYING 😂😂😂
