Theo isn’t really real, but that doesn’t mean Evelyn is off the hook. She help a bat-shit crazy man capture millions of people from all over the world were they were tortured by the person she is working with.

Theo dying actually hurt. He was a clueless little boy at season 1 and now look at him. A intelligent smart strong boy.

Agreed, hearing his scream of pain when Evelyn crushes the life out of him before he dissappears and taris reaction when she realizes he is gone hit real hard.
Plus seeing masa regain his free will at the sound of taris anguish and his exchange with her about her leadership in his absense was wholesome. And the way he breaks through and is able to attack Sheridan before getting impaled by the screwdriver and knocked out by the explosion of the sensor on his forehead, which frees belle from Sheridan control in the process; this episode is insane, and a great lead in the the very ultimate final episode. Its skso really satisfying that Evelyn is finally defeated in this episode, allowing the focus on Sheridan and brainwashed lucinia after that.

Holy crap, Masa breaking free and strangling Sheridan was insane! It’s so sad knowing the next episode will be the very last of the series. But from this episode, I can tell the finale is gonna be a roller coaster of emotions!

In the end, Lamar was right. Masa really was the most stubborn edgelord we ever knew.
Belle truly shined in this episode. Her telling Lucinia "It's going to hurt me more than it hurts you" has a lot of emotional baggage considering the two's history together. Also Belle calling Tari babe again (surprised so many people didn't remember she's been doing that since the first season) was a nice callback, but it definitely feels like she now says it in a more affectionate way compared to the teasing in Season 1. The dynamic between two of them was definitely missing this season, and I'm glad we got to see it here and possibly in the final episode as well (thankfully she's still alive). Definitely my favorite character in the series.

@@emopikachu Sadly, no. The chip exploded. He’s gone. And to make matters worse, Sheridan didn’t die from it. He’s just KO’ed.
@@brandonkeith628 While I do think the most likely scenario is that Masa's dead, as it would make sense, the chip did explode. I think there is a possibility that he's just KO'd too as on sophia's screen it showed Masa's connection as "secure", whereas the connection status for Theo(very dead) was "unavailable", and as their consciousness was warped in the game I would have thought that death would probably disconnect you. Also iirc last episode Sophia speculated that the chips were the cause of Lucinia's current state, so if thats correct as she (somewhat) survived, there's the possibility Masa did too.
@@brandonkeith628 if he's dead then he would have been disconnected from the game... but if you look very closely in the last scene Sofia is in it says masa's connection is still secured... so there is still a possibility that he is alive... i don't think Luke and Kevin would put that in there for no reason...

This just makes me sad bc now that Theo is gone, Masa was shot by Sheridan, Belle sacrificed herself to distract Evelyn, and Lucinia is still not yet revived. But the most I'm sad of is the series itself since it's now one week away from the Grand Finale. I'm glad I get watch this show from the very beginning to now. Thank you Luke for bringing this to my life, Its a Masterpiece:)

The use of Tari Final Chance for the last battle, the Battle Blaze theme for Masa and even the speedrun arena theme for Belle… The second season really lacked the use of theme songs for the characters and is so good to hear not only new songs but re-using ones from the first season with a new twist.

Can’t wait to see what happens in the finale I hope Sheridan and Evelyn finally get defeated. It’s really cool that they added a post credit scene with Lamar throwing rocks at Evelyn. I wonder what happened to Theo after Evelyn made him disappear. Hope he isn’t dead. That ending for the last episode was sad. But at least tari and Theo are having a good time still. I will miss meta runner. Well the show ended 9 days ago. It was great while it lasted guys. Goodbye meta runner.

9:14 was the best scene ever
There are so many things to talk about in this episode that it's really hard to only choose the most important ones. It's so sad that Theo is gone. I don't think he is coming back and even though it was foreshadowed, it still hurts so much.
7:34 Evelyn never learns from her mistakes. She could have ended Tari right there, but instead she wanted to tell her so badly that Theo is gone. Thanks to that Masa break free and saved Tari. It was so satisfying seeing him against Sheridan. Now, I was sure Masa is dead as well, but if you look closely in 13:48 Masa character has connection "secure". That means he is still in skybreakers. If he was dead he wouldn't be in the game I think. I mean his chances for survival are slim and it feels like his death was foreshadowed from season 1, but we'll see. Gotta say though, it's kinda ironic how Sheridan ended up in another explosion yet again.
10:55 The most epic moment in this episode and maybe in the entire season so far. I really like what you did with Tari. Back in season 1 she wasn't so good at video games, but her meta runner vision really helped her. Then in season 2 she got better while working for Tascorp and still had her vision that was a great help in many situations. In this season though Tari lost her vision and she had to learn how to play like everyone else. She got really good and developed a true skill thanks to her potential. Now with skill she actually got her full vision back. She can use her abilities even better than before. it's no wonder that she started to have an upper hand against Evelyn immediately. It was so good. Tari saying at the end "Thanks Theo" was just cherry on top.
I didn't expect after credit scene. It was so hilarious and silly considering what happened in this episode. I was relieved though seeing that Lamar and Belle (I think that's her in the background) are alright. Unfortunately Evelyn is there too, but at least Lamar is throwing pebbles to annoy her. I don't see Masa anywhere, but it didn't say he was disconnected or that his data was missed like with Theo. 1 episode left. I'm so excited to see how it all ends. It's crazy that it'll be all over soon. It has been a long journey, but no matter what happens we'll be always running. Keep up the great work and as always stay determined!

One of the most epic episodes of the series. And the ending scene after the credits was amusing :).
I’m curious to see what became of Masa and Theo. Looks like at the very least Masa took some serious damage to both mind and body (specifically arm and neck from what I saw). As for Theo, I’m honestly confident he may have died, or at the very least, he’ll become a part of Lucinia’s consciousness, as it seems this anomaly that caused Theo is directly related to Lucinia (the same pink data fragments).
As for Lucinia vs Tari, it’s interesting that this is how the final season will end: an antithesis to the ending of the second season where Lucinia talks to Tari in Theo’s game.
Words cannot explain how much I love this show… I’m heartbroken that it will come to an end soon. I hope everyone makes it out alive. Thank you, Glitch productions for making such an incredible show! It really helped me through some tough times in my life, including the recent loss of my dog, Alfie. I swear from S1 to S3 is the best experience I have ever had through all of the series i watched : emotional , heartbreaking , ComeBack

So hard to believe its almost at its end meta runner has been the most incredible series on glitch and to be apart of the people who've been watching meta runner sense this channel first started i gotta say its been one hell of a ride and no matter how it ends this series will forever be one of the greatest on the glitch channel 👍👍

it's more like tari is entering sheridan's server to repair herself and lucinia, masa and theo are dead, marco, evelyn, lamar and belle respanwed in shipwreck swamp and sheridan's status is unknown, he might not be dead but simply uncouncious. Oh and lucinia is chasing after tari

Today marks a sad moment in the whole series - at least one very special and important character is now dead. And I thought Lucks was gonna be the only one that would permanently die.
Not only do we say farewell to the Meta Runner series (soon), but we also need to say goodbye to Theo, Masa and Sheridan…unless they are all shown to have survived in the next and last episode.
Sheridan is still alive,he’s the main villain,Theo might be still alive but it’s a stretch,masa I’m guessing is still alive,because if he does it should be bigger than how it’s been portrayed
Sadly, Both Theo and Masa are gone. Sheridan survived the explosion but was simply knocked out.

Since masa's (I think that's how his named is spelled) death was just overshadowed by the rest of the episode pretty much, I think he might still be alive, because while an explosion like that would normally kill somebody, this is an animated show. Literally discovered this series last week and have binged S1 through to this episode non stop. It's such a good story! This episode in particular was just phenomenal, cannot wait to see the ending!
Tari learned that being in the "blindspot" of the boss is a good strategy (by blindspot i mean the area the boss cant reach)
Man Masa that was an epic break free of the mind control moment. Lux may have been an ass but he was lawful evil which while bad is no where near as bad as chaotic evil like our scientist friend here. Good luck Tari 👍 your gonna need it.

Evelyn‘s defeat was so satisfying.

Between the emphasis on green and purple and the fact that their fight was mostly them trading blows with fisticuffs in their mechs, that exchange between Theo and Evelyn towards the beginning of the episode heavily reminded me of the fight between the Hulk and Thanos at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. And I mean that with only the highest of praise of course, I'm a big fan of those films. Excellent fight choreography throughout honestly, this was great. I've very much enjoyed this series and while I'm sad that it'll be coming to an end in a few episodes, I'm glad you guys turned out something so special and amazingly creative that has touched the hearts of such a sizable audience. You managed to take a pretty tired concept, the one of having players be able to integrate themselves into the world(s) of a/various video game(s), and take it in a myriad of fresh and enticing directions. Exquisite work.
This whole series had such amazing action sequences. They were always creative and unpredictable.
Please make the final episode a premiere!
