This is the first animated series I've seen thats genuinely made me cry. Tari went through so much shit she never asked for, and in the end got almost the worst outcome possible, being alive forever, and seperated from most things she held dear. Its super depressing and I feel really bad for her. Bravo guys, Bravo

The ending is so incredible. The good guys all get a happily ever after, even though, they'll probably never see eachother again. But I hope someday they do.
My headcanon is that eventually Tari figured out a way to get back to her original body and they can meet and be happy again because that’s all I want

Tari was the first person I felt similar to because I was forced to do these mondane shit I will not go into detail on the details but so I felt a connection and meta runner was the first ever show on CZcams I watched so seeing tari sacrifice herself for the world was emotional to watch so I will remember her sacrifice may you rest in peace tari
I can’t believe this series is a whole 4 years old and will only continue to get older, but it has left an impact on me that I will never forget.

Well, it's been exactly one year since Meta Runner ended and honestly, I still feel sad. But still, thank you Luke for creating a timeless masterpiece and also props to the whole GLITCH team for all the hard work that went into this series. These guys did a fantastic job !!!

When it show tari and theo on the picture frame in the credits made me cry even more
idk why but Lucks’ part might have been my favorite part in the episode. It just hit different for me. Yes, the fact that Tari and Theo are alive in a way, the fact that they live in a server forever is kind of sad to me, but they at least seem happy that way.
If they have all those games they might be able to use the online part to at least talk to their friends

This probably will be lost in the flood of comments, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. So, I am writing this a few days before episode 4 of Murder Drones comes out, and while I was waiting I decided to finally watch Meta Runner. I binged the whole 3 seasons in 2 days and I have to say this, I am upset on how long I slept on this series. It is a masterpiece and a half. It tells a beautiful story, with some amazing scenes and visuals, and I teared up at the end of it all. But I have a question for the Lerdwichagul brothers (if they somehow see this). How does it feel to have a series like Meta Runner, the series you put so much time, effort, and tears, the series you (kinda) created by yourselves, being (seemingly) overshadowed by Murder Drones, the series you did help create, just not your own personal, family made creation? I don't ask to be rude or snarky, I just want to know how you guys feel about it. Anyways, my rant is over. If anyone reads this, watch and rewatch all of Meta Runner, it's fantastic.
Same here actually! I had finished sunshine paradise and decided to watch meta runner and like you i binge watched in 2 days. I thought it was gonna be crap and if you told me i would be creating a sea with tears i would have laughed. Sad i slept on it for so long

I watched the first 2 seasons then stopped. Yesterday I decided to rewatch it all, did not regret it.

I’ve been going back in time these past few weeks and watching your older shows that I hadn’t seen yet. First I watched all of Sunset Paradise-which was *_amazing_* as well-and then I watched this, which was quite *_digital_* if I do say so myself. And with the *_circus_* coming to town this year, I can see a lot of references back to this. If you haven’t caught on yet, look at the words in italics and bold starting with the previous paragraph. You’re welcome.
But above all else, I just wanted to say thank you, for everything. You are the channel I didn’t know I needed. All these shows have given me endless joy so far, and I’m sure they will continue to do so as Murder Drones comes to a conclusion and TADC starts its (Unreal) engines.
I’ve been suffering from some mild depression lately, and I’ve completely lost my hope for things to get better. The world seems to be going down the drain faster than we can plug it, and there’s nothing I can do to change that. I wish I could do something to change the world and make things right, but I don’t have any power here.
However, thanks to you guys-and these wonderfully produced shows-my hope is starting to return. You two and your extremely talented team are my light in this endless darkness, and the Digital Circus is only making it brighter. Keep on rocking it, GLITCH! You guys are genuinely making my life so much better!!!

There's references and voice easter eggs everywhere. Listen to the captain in the beginning of episode 3. Also in sunset paradise I think e8 Auri says "I'm tired of always running" which references the meta runner s1 theme. So many more like the smg4 sticker on Sophia's tablet.

Here I am... one year late... this is one of my favorite shows of all time now! Thank you all for making such a unique and engaging show, and I hope I have the pleasure of getting my application accepted when I put it in!
They should make a half hour special for this series 5 year aniversary where they all find a way to reunite.
Back when you first released this show, i thought "meh, its probably something silly". Now that you released the final episode, my curiosity was peaked and i decided to check it out. Ended up binge watching this entire thing, and oh boy was i wrong. This is a true masterpiece of a story, and i want to thank you and your team for creating it.
Okay, that's exactly what happened to me, too. I remember when I first discovered SMG4, and realized Tari was a proprietary character. I just kinda shrugged at the time cause I had NO idea she had this kind of depth and complexity.
Literally yesterday, I thought Meggy was a gem of a character, and Tari was sort of just a blank. That misunderstanding was my fault, and I know better now.
I must add that the ending definitely got my attention. I also binged it from the first episode on the first season purely because I was curious. No regrets!

This one of the saddest endings to a show I've ever watched. I still shed tears every time I rewatch it. Nothing but masterful, Meta Runner is peak. As someone who subbed to SMG4 in like 2016 I watched the entire show start and finish. What an insane crusade. I will forever remember this show.
Seeing bubbly characters like Tari and especially Sophia cry honestly broke me.
I felt bad for Tari for more bc she what she wanted this whole time was just to play videogames and have a good time everything it could've been the same way if Belle and Lucinia was never recovered. Plus also and I didn't know since the start of Meta Runner Belle and Lucinia were just friends and at the end well they have feelings for eachother

Now hold on! I'm over here, crying and mourning Tari's sacrifice and then it's revealed that there was a relationship!? I had to pause just to go, "Wtf?" While I'm still crying! A 180 real quick! Overall, I love this finale and have theories for the server Tari and Theo are in.
I was also shocked that Belle and Lucinia are in relationship tbh. I didn't expect for two girls I've known for 4 years that I thought were buddies; are actually in a romantic relationship.

Bittersweet I believe is the word you are looking for; and yes, absolutely agree. Sometimes those endings are the most memorable.

Marco's most badass and coldest line. I love how he's the one who gets to end the bastard that is Sheridan. Of all the characters I expected to defeat Sheridan, it was ultimately Marco, who I didn't greatly expect. But I was ultimately satisfied nevertheless.

I can't believe Tari and coconut boi are dead or got data delete.
That has got to be one of the most brutal deaths I've seen any of Luke's works pull off. Like, you don't die painlessly from that much electricity.
I like that Lucks left on a good note at the end. He might not be the best businessman and did some pretty bad things, but he's above doing whatever Sheridan did. I respect him for that.
It also seems to be a happy ending for everyone on the protagonist side. Masa lived, Lucinia was restored, the rest of the MD5 ended Sheridan's short-lived reign of terror, and both Tari and Theo got a nice cyberspace private server to themselves.
A pretty bittersweet ending.
Its the perfect way to end it. Playing with your emotions like that is the best thing an ending can do and they got it spot on

but it was also shown that the server can connect to public servers a bit so thats why tari said it was going to take a while to meet their friends again instead of saying that it won't be possible so for now its my head canon that in a few months they meet again and get a better server to keep them alive

At first I was thinking things like "When will they finish it?" and "Why would they start and finish an entirely new show with this still unfinished?". ( Provided I did still love Sunset Paradise.) But now that it finally happened, I'm sad I have to bid Meta Runner goodbye. The ending really hit me in the feels, and I have a lot of good memories with this series. Thank you guys for bringing us all so much joy. I'll never forget Tari's wacky journey.

I loved the reprises of Tari’s Last Chance, Always Running, and Lucinia’s Theme Breeze. They were absolutely heartfelt and mastered perfectly. This entire series was an amazing journey to watch. Thank you Glitch, SMG4, and everyone involved. It was truly amazing
I'm just glad to see Tari and Theo back together. And with a whole Server where they can enjoy their favorite games. They were the perfect duo.

@@softlocker5941 well, when Tari said "maybe not for a while", and the last part of the ending song makes me think they will find a way back, besides, we're talking about a very powerful AI that seems to control part of the cyberspace (which means very reliable connection to the internet), so she will eventually find the missing parts to make themselves stable again

I mean….technically she still has a body in the real world?? Just,she uploaded herself into the virtual world….so for imagination sake I think we can imagine one day Tari at least could find a way to get back in her body

@@AdamAddictL well yeah she still has a body, but she isn’t able to get back to it. The ending is good because it isn’t perfect. Tari’s friends think she’s dead and Tari’s stuck in the server. It’s bittersweet because Tari is still *technically* alive, but her sacrifice was still meaningful because it brought Lucidia back to consciousness while severing Tari from her body.

Okay in all honesty, it was a long time since I actually cried when watching a story/movie/series, but Meta Runner has actually brought me to it again.
When Meta Runner first released I thought it was just some stupid 1 episode show, since at the time I really didn't think that Luke and Kev could do something more than just run of the mill SMG4 videos, oh man was I wrong. I still remember watching Meta Runner for the first time almost two years ago I literally bingewatched the second season in one night because I was so into the show. And in all honesty I am so pleased I did, this story has brought me so many emotions that I feel like I expirienced evey single emotion there is just while watching the show.
All I have to say is... thank you. Thank you Luke, Kevin and the rest of the GLITCH team. This story means a lot to me.

The ending was good, but not perfect. A perfect ending would be them contacting MD5 via that window thing Lucks used to talk with Theo when Theo was imprisoned. They can't exist in the real world anymore, but they could have at least contacted MD5 at the end to let them know they're alive and happy.

Honestly what a great ending I'm glad they ended it at the right time and didn't just milk it for another 5 seasons like most other shows would have. What Glitch was able to do with this series was absolutely amazing. This show was really the only series on CZcams I cared about and constantly got hyped for. Although I'm sad to see it come to an end I'm glad the show got a proper send off. Thanks Glitch for the amazing series you've created. This will definitely be a show I rewatch for years to come.

Actually the reason they ended it is because thier wasn't anymore story left, after they defeated Sheridan then what else was there to do

they could still continue this series whenever they want, Evelyn is arrested sure but her family is rich and they can just bail her out with cash... and Tari could be imported into a fully robot body based off her old concept art, this series could absolutely come back if they need more merch or feel like it

I am so glad I finally watched this show. I started watching this last week, unlike when I should've started, years ago when nathaniel bandy promoted it. Throughout these few days, I have grown attached to these characters, and I am amazed at this show. The best part is that it showed what video games are actually like, which is nothing compared to what big animation studios think video games are. I mean, they showed glitches and exploits that make sense, video games feel like video games, video game music is not stuck being chiptune, and most of all, it gave an amazing story. While it is a show about video games, I haven't heard any of the regular video game references (princess in another castle, donkey kong, etc), but it did give us some fresh video game references (link opening a chest, I have no idea is masa shimamoto is a mix of masahiro sakari and shigaru myamoto or not, but if it is, then it's an amazing reference). And plus, it didn't have much limitation, so it could do dark themes and even stabbing multiple people straight through without being told not to. I absolutely love this show, and can't wait to watch more GLITCH shows.
I've watched the first 2 seasons when they first came out years ago but I have never seen the third season and watching this last episode today made me cry for a few hours but this will be my favorite animated series forever and will always hold a special place in my heart

The fact these guys make stupid stuff on an another channel and can make an absoulute masterpiece of a talent.
When I watched the grand finale episode I started crying and shedding tears 😭. After I saw the announcement about the comic book, Meta Runner hoodie, and then when I saw that the 2nd episode of Murder Drones came out, I asked Mom to get me the Murder Drones hoodie, and she said yes, and I got the hoodies for Christmas and I said to Mom thank you and I love you.

Its been 9 months ever since the final season finale and I enjoyed watching meta runner and it was actually heartbreaking how tari had to sacrifice her life just to get lucinia back with the team, but also im kinda happy that theo and tari are still alive but sad that they can,t see there friends, i know this comment was during this month, and yes evelyn got what she deserved.
