  • I acquired a Case IH 1694 (David Brown) from where it had sat for many years with a neighbour. The 1694 was quite a rare beast and so I’m yet undecided as to what to do with it. The 1694 is basically the same as a 1594 but came with factory turbo, trailer breaks and the larger front axle.

Bodywork doesn't look too bad at all no massive rot areas at all! Very unusual tractor being a magpie 1694!! What a beast definitely worth saving!

    Cool.!
My uncle has always been wondering what happened to his grey TE20, he sold it with a seized engine in the 70’s. He knew it was still registered with the dvla and he’s finally found it in the Coldridge Collection in Devon.
DUX 185. I think he will have to pay it a visit. 😁👍

The farm we bought in west wales in 1988 before moving to Canada in 2000 had one of those from brand new. They used it for ploughing with a 4f reversible auto reset Kvernland plough that was heavy lifting/ pulling. They had no end of backend and hyd problems with it that I understand was common, there may not be that many left now if they got abused . I'd say you've owned it for a while now so just hang on to it and start collecting parts here and there, that might be one you'll regret selling later. I feel bad for the guy driving the loader looking back while you sit there with your feet up L.O.L, I bet his neck was sore the next day. Thanks for the video, Take care.

Also would need to block the lube hole for the con rod, I've done this before with a small wooden dowl. This was on a 2 1/2 ton GI truck, and boy did it viberate. Diesel (multi-fuel) had a spot around 1700 where it was halfway smoothed out. I locked the throttle and used the fuel shutoff to shift gears.
